Charlie Ebersol and Britney Spears are ready for their close-up. Literally! The singer, who confirmed she has someone special in her life earlier this week in an interview with Access Hollywood, has posted a selfie on Instagram of her and the television producer. Spears did not need a single actual word to express her feelings for Eberson, including as a caption to this image a mere heart emoticon. Sometimes, a symbol says a thousand words, don’t you agree? “They met through friends,” an insider tells E! News. “He is the sweetest guy ever and they are very much enjoying getting to know one another. They are both very happy and having fun.” This new relationship with Charlie Ebersol  comes just two months after Spears ended things with David Lucado, allegedly due to his infidelity. The star hasn’t spoken much on that split, but she did write online soon after it went public: “Ahhh the single life!” As for her and Ebersol? “It’s just the beginning so no idea if it will become serious,” the same source tells E! And the winner of the Internet this weekend is… MACAULAY CULKIN!!! The child star became the latest celebrity to have his death prematurely reported on the Internet yesterday, with chatter going around that Culkin was found dead in his Manhattan apartment. Fortunately, Culkin is alive and very well and responded to the hoax in a seriously hilarious manner: by going all Weekend at Bernie’s on us! Via the official Twitter account of his rock back (The Pizza Underground), Culkin is seen above making like the title character in the aforementioned comedy, which centers on a couple of friends pretending all weekend as if they’re friend Bernie is actually alive. “Weekend at bernies with @anchovywarhol #greenroom,” the band’s handle captioned the picture of Culkin, jokingly playing dead in the arms of his bandmate. Incredibly, yesterday marked the second time this year that Culkin was rumored to have passed away. A couple years ago, meanwhile, The National Enquirer claimed Culkin was spending $6,000 per month on a heroin addiction. This allegation surfaced around the same time as photos of a very thin Culkin also appeared on the World Wide Web. It’s unclear why folks like to spread lies about Culkin, though perhaps some are jealous that he’s seen Mila Kunis nude . The two stars dated for many years prior to Kunis procreating with Ashton Kutcher. Macaulay Culkin Dead? Hoax Goes Viral, Claims Actor Found Dead in Apartment

Macaulay Culkin is not dead, despite another fast-spreading Internet hoax indicating the Home Alone star’s demise … for the second time this year alone. The troubled and sometimes reclusive actor, 34, who at one point was reportedly in the throes of heroin addiction and appeared gaunt, is alive and well. According to the latest Macaulay Culkin death hoax, he was found dead in his Manhattan apartment. Facebook and Twitter users quickly bought in. With fans linking to a story on something called MSNBC (dot) website (dot) com – obviously not the real NBC, MSN or MSNBC – the story went viral. According to the unconfirmed and unsubstantiated reports, Culkin was found dead after police responded to a wellness check requested by a family member: “At least one occupant of the Manhattan apartment confirmed the apartment belongs to Culkin but police have not confirmed the man’s identity at this time.” Det. James Patterson, allegedly of the Manhattan Police Department, said: “The apartment was exceptionally clean and we found no signs of abuse or foul-play so we are depending on the coroner to make a final ruling of what happened.” The actor turned musician was also reported dead back in April, with Facebook users mourning his alleged death and even a memorial page popping up. Though reps for the actor denied the April reports, they have not yet spoken out on the latest hoax claiming that Culkin is dead … but he’s still not. He was seen with his band, The Pizza Underground , last night (see above). Celebrity Death Hoaxes: Stars the Internet Fake-Killed 1. Lil Wayne Lil Wayne has been the subject of more than one death hoax over the years … and more than one actual near-death experience. So it’s believalble. Culkin has become much lower profile as an adult than when he was one of the biggest child stars of all time, so it’s easy to see how one would believe this. Mila Kunis’ longtime boyfriend is doing perfectly fine for himself, though, despite pranksters with no consciences attempting to spread such nasty rumors. Add this to the list of celebrities the Internet has fake killed over the years.

Selena Gomez Tumbles Off Stage, Keeps Dancing

Down goes Selena Gomez! No, not on Justin Bieber . But off the stage during a performance this month in Fairfax, Virginia. As you can see toward conclusion of the following video, Gomez was dancing around in a slinky dress and white boots for a rendition of “Slow Dance” when she failed to realize how close she was to the end of the stage. But Selena reacted to the spill like a pro, slapping hands with a few fans and finishing up her routine. As Macaulay Culkin once proved, slapping after shave on one’s face can be a traumatic experience. But that’s nothing compared to the jolt fans received over the weekend at New York Comic-Con when this reclusive actor made a rare public appearance… rocking some serious scruff, long hair and bunny ears. The star was on hand for the Robot Chicken panel Friday and is unrecognizable from his role as Kevin McCallister in the Home Alone franchise. Granted, those films debuted 23 years ago. But prepare to be taken very far aback when seeing what Culkin looks like these days in the following video: Macaulay Culkin Appears at New York Comic-Con Culkin also surprised attendees at a concert in Great Britain in April when he helped sing a rendition of “Kokomo.” Prior to that sighting, there had been unfortunate rumors of Culkin on drugs, sad, depressed and lonely . So we’d glad to see him out, about and looking to be healthy.

OJ Simpson Murders: Caught on Video?!

A disturbing, shameless, yet kind of hilarious new tabloid report claims the infamous 1994 O.J. Simpson murders were actually caught on video. Yes, the National Enquirer claims it has video from O.J.’s ALLEGED (totally real) slayings of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. On the one hand, the Enquirer reached a new low with this one. On the other hand … admit it, you kinda wanna read this, right? How on earth this celebrity news (term used beyond loosely, like Lindsay Lohan loosely) publication keeps going back to the OJ well, we have no idea. Perhaps because we’re all still curious HOW the Juice did it. No, we couldn’t bring ourselves to buy If I Did It and who knows if that was even true. Or maybe Glen Rogers did it like he claims. Just kidding. It was all O.J. But what if a video truly caught him in the act? How incredible would that be? Obviously the tape would’ve been found in the past 18 YEARS. Still. In other Enquirer news, Macaulay Culkin attempted suicide and Lindsay Lohan is heading to the mental ward. Those are actually far more believable.

Macaulay Culkin: Out, About, Not on Drugs

In the aftermath of what he called “impossibly, ridiculously fictious” reports that Macaulay Culkin is a heroin addict , the actor surfaced in LA this week. A not-as-frail Culkin was seen at the celebrity hot spot Chateau Marmont Friday, not long after his rep’s denying of the reports that he’s a junkie. He was reportedly in good spirits. The actor also attended Natalie Portman’s wedding, though he said, “I have no comments on his activities over the weekend or otherwise. Thank you.” The former child actor made numerous headlines last week after tabloids reported his alleged drug problems and claimed he had only six months to live. He was also seen looking frail and gaunt earlier this year. Hopefully it’s all just talk and he’s in good health. [Photo: Fame/Flynet]

Macaulay Culkin bailed on his monthly DJ gig Thursday at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City’s West Village, hours after the surprising gaunt photos of him emerged. Instead, fans ready to dance to his live music picks got an earful of his iPod. “He’s here all the time. Tonight, something just came up and he couldn’t make it,” a club employee said . “But he did drop off his iPod, that’s what’s playing.” “It’s a shame he’s not here, he always plays really good music.” Macaulay Culkin Photos Culkin, whose gaunt appearance in a set of paparazzi shots made headlines Thursday, was expected to take to the turntables around 10 p.m. Around that time, a sign was taped to a box downstairs by the bar telling fans that canned goods would get them in for free – charitable guy that he is – and with no “Mack” in attendance, dancing would be to his pre-selected tunes. “Macaulay Culkin is in perfectly good health,” his rep said. “For anyone to speculate or suggest otherwise is reckless, irresponsible and destructive.”
