And perhaps Serena Williams was getting a bit proactive about the matter while vacationing in the Bahamas with fellow tennis star Caroline Wozniacki. The 33-year-old shared a bikini selfie of her toned tummy and ample cleavage on Sunday while relaxing poolside with her pal. When asked if she wants to settle down during a Twitter Q&A last week, she wrote: ‘Desperately. My time will come.’ Another fan asked if she was single and she replied: ‘Not by choice.’ But Serena is not the only one, as her pal Caroline was recently engaged before her fiance called off the wedding. On my way to work this morning, my ears were assaulted by a conversation between two men having a conversation about married men, women and wedding rings. The betrothed one was sort of bragging about a “smokin’ hot” co-worker who had asked him out on a date. He said he was flattered and would totally go out with her except for one thing – his response, “Sorry, I’m married.” His friend looked at him like he had just given away a winning Mega Millions ticket. The married guy continued, “She was like ‘oh, I’m sorry, you aren’t wearing a wedding ring.’ Why is that always the first thing these women notice!?” His friend had no answer, still baffled by the idea that his friend had turned down a gorgeous woman’s advances because he was married.
