A few days ago, acclaimed journalist and ghostwriter of Jay-Z’s Decoded, Dream Hampton’s “The Trouble with Chris Brown” mysteriously disappeared from BET.com. The piece was posted shortly after his Good Morning America behind-the-scenes performance; and, after a little work presumably on the part of his “enablers” (as Hampton so adequately referred to his manager, publicist, etc.), the commentary was removed. Addressing real issues isn’t always profitable; but, more disheartening than BET’s permissiveness is the slew of young women and girls that make up Team Breezy, female bloggers and Twitter followers who have unwaveringly stood by Chris Brown amidst domestic violence charges and uncontrolled, violent outbursts. They are the 1.9 million @chrisbrown followers who drove his new album F.A.M.E. to number one and, instead of holding him accountable, relentlessly displace responsibility for his actions onto others. As I frequently question my ability to understand men, I have finally come to the realization that men and women are utterly different creatures ; and maybe these different creatures aren’t for me to completely understand. Where we see white, they see black. Things that appear complex to us are simple and easy to them; and most of the situations that consume our thoughts, they could actually care less about. The differences are so vast, yet some of us seem to rationalize a man’s behavior by what we would actually do or not do. As I talked to numerous men about relationships, I was shocked to hear some of their opinions on the misconceptions women have about them when it comes to love. Most of them carried a varying theme claiming that women just don’t understand certain things about men. So for the ladies who solicit all of your advice from other women, you may be surprised to hear some of the things men wish we knew about them, spoken straight from men. Take notes…if you care. The recent – and somewhat surprising – beef between Brooklyn rap diva Foxy Brown and radio vet Tom Joyner may go deeper than what fans have seen so far. According to our source, as Foxy herself stated via Twitter , the very notion that Tom Joyner’s staff had to kick the rapper off of his Fantastic Voyage cruise is a fabrication. “Foxy was never contracted to be on the ship for the duration of the cruise,” the source tells BOSSIP. “She was scheduled to leave the cruise on Friday morning, having performed on Thursday night.” The source reveals that what lies behind Tom Joyner’s allegations that Foxy became too difficult to deal with is what the rapper saw as she made her way back to her cabin around 4am Friday morning. Foxy allegedly spotted Joyner in the hallway, embroiled in a very private conversation with a man who looked “suspect,” shall we say. Foxy, who had some remaining tension with Tom from their recent interview, made her presence known by bursting into laughter. Foxy left the ship at 7am, and that afternoon, Tom was on air saying that the the known drama queen had to be put off the ship. But as our informant points out, Joyner has yet to reveal exactly how Foxy was “acting a fool”? Was this a preemptive strike on Tom’s part to discredit anything Foxy might have to say?
