Cameron “Man Yokes” Diaz Pops That 40-Year-Old P For Esquire UK And Says For The First Time In Her Life She’s Content!

Another one of Diddy’s jawns is poppin’ that thang for the cameras! Cameron Diaz got her eagle on for Esquire UK’s Octobe issue. Check out some excerpts and photos below. Via EsquireUK : “For the first time in my life I’m content,” she says on entering her fifth decade. “I’m so excited. Getting older is the best part of life. Like, I know more than I’ve ever known. I have gratitude. I know myself better. I feel more capable than ever. And as far as the physicality of it – I feel better at 40 than I did at 25.” Photographer Terry Richardson captures the actress in a series of memorable poses – see the full shoot (believe us, you want to) and interview in the November issue, on sale Thursday 4 October. Also available as a Digital Edition. Inside the issue, the actress also addresses why she’s yet to wed or have kids. According to People : “It [marriage] just wasn’t the thing I was drawn to. I certainly didn’t want it in my 20s. Or my 30s,” the star, who also poses provocatively for a series of photos accompanying the interview, tells the magazine. But now, having turned 40 on Aug. 30, she is more open-minded about marriage. “We’ll see!” she says. What does she look for in would-be suitors? “I want someone who takes care of themselves, who’s strong. To hear people are engaged in life like that is exciting to me,” she says. Though she is currently happy not to have kids, Diaz, who recently starred in the comedy What To Expect When You’re Expecting, has not ruled out having them someday. “I don’t need to have the children in my life be a part of my literal flesh,” she says. “And anyway, there’s still a possibility of that, I ain’t that old. I’m feeling very … capable.” Sounds like she has a healthy attitude about life. Hit the flip for more of the flicks from the magazine.

Congratulations–Tyler Perry’s Posted Up On The Cover Of Essence Magazine’s November Issue

Tyler Perry’s on the cover of Essence…again. Opening up about his new role as Alex Cross, Perry praises black women (his number one fan base according to Essence), and takes a serious moment to talk about the late greats Whitney and MJ. Telling the mag, “When Black women are down with you and in your corner, you have an ally that will move heaven and earth…”, you can’t help but realize that even Tyler knows the huge number of female supporters, particularly those with religious backgrounds, have had a lot to do with his successful career. According to The Grio… Essence estimates that Perry’s film enterprise spawned from the beloved stage character Madea — a fierce-talking mother figure — is worth an impressive $1 billion. After parlaying his Madea plays into movies, the actor-producer aims to extend his entertainment brand even further by playing the complete opposite of the grandmotherly mad woman. Yes, get ready for: Tyler Perry, Action Star. Taking over the role of Alex Cross, which was previously played by Morgan Freeman, Perry beat out Idris Elba among others for the role in the coming eponymous film. “Rising past the haters — and the sheer desolation of losing his beloved mother — Tyler Perry has only just begun to soar,” the magazine states about the iconic producer. “Respected as a writer, director and mogul, the man behind the $1 billion-plus Madea franchise is now moving into unchartered territory: Action hero.” Perry’s Alex Cross, in which he plays the butt-kicking lead, is certainly a departure from his female-oriented melodramas. On the heels of the announcement that Tyler Perry will be uniting with Oprah Winfrey to produce original, scripted series for her OWN network, this is shaping up to be quite an exciting week for the performer who is also a seasoned television producer. We’re glad to see Perry moving into a different genre but we wonder if he can finally shake off all the Madea stigmas he’s boxed himself into. Images via Essence

Vogue Magazines Color Issues–Why The Publication Has A Shady History Of Reppin’ Black Women On The Cover! [Photos]

Ever wonder why you don’t see women who look like us on the covers of Vogue?? Well we do. Especially after we broke the news of Keija Minor , the newly named Editor-in-Chief of Bride’s magazine, earlier this week. While we were over here giving her a shout out, we were also struck by the staggering fact that she’s the FIRST Black Woman to ever hold the position down at Condé Nast. Ever! The publishing empire that owns 18 magazines in total, (think Bride’s, Vogue, and GQ, just to name a few), has been in the business for 103 years! So it took over a century to finally have a well-qualified African American run isht. To show you a lack in progress…hit the flip and check out the awful pattern of Black Women gracing the cover of Vogue magazine (another Condé Nast publication)… They should be ashamed of themselves…but they probably don’t even think twice about it.

A “Lil Positivity”–Oprah’s Posted Up On The Cover Of Forbes Magazine!

Oprah’s on the cover of Forbes standing in between billionaires Warren Buffett and Bill Gates. The media mogul is ranked #139 amongst the “Forbes 400″ and is on other lists including #11 Power Women, #2 Celebrity 100, #442 Forbes Billionaires (although she’s #148 in United States). According to Forbes Magazine: Warren Buffett, Oprah Winfrey, Bill and Melinda Gates–it was a gathering of giants. Forbes simply had to take a picture. On June 26 we convened the first-ever Forbes 400 Summit on Philanthropy, a gathering of 161 billionaires and near-billionaires intent on solving the world’s most intractable problems. During a break in the action, twelve of the nation’s leading philanthropists sat for a group portrait by photographer Michael Prince in the Trustees Room at the New York Public Library. The net worth in the room: $126 billion. The historic photo folds out as the cover of the 30th annual Forbes 400 issue, the definitive ranking of America’s wealthiest people. Near the end of the day, we took a dozen of the greatest living philanthropists in the world, put them in one room, and took an unprecedented photograph. There was no digital wizardry, or Photoshop sleight of hand — as the accompanying video underscores, they were all in one place at one time, and even the most jaded among them couldn’t help but look around the Trustees Room at the New York Public Library and go, “wow.” This may not end world hunger but we’re proud of Oprah’s efforts to give back. Good to see her recognized as a philanthropist on Forbes’ 400 list! Wonder why Mitt wasn’t included in this group?? Images via Forbes Magazine

Teyana Taylor’s Rockin’ The Cover Of Vibe Vixen–Talks What She’s Learned From 2 Chainz And Her Streetwear Style

Tey Tey’s rockin’ the cover of Vibe Vixen’s Premiere Fashion Issue… and we’ve got a preview of her interview before it hits newsstands. Teyana on what she’s learned from 2 Chainz: He’s the closest to my situation. Being signed to another great person before coming to Def Jam, the situation is not really working in your favor and now look. He’s showing me that everything is about timing, so don’t ever think that your time is not going to come. My season is coming up soon. Teyana on her relationship with the fellas from G.O.O.D. Music: All of them play all day, and I love that. With work ,everyone is down to business. It’s good that everyone has a serious side but also a sense of humor. It definitely makes work fun. That’s the good thing about working with the boys. They spoil you. I’m a spoiled brat [laughs]. Teyana on being a role model: I do think the way I dress and the way I brand myself–I’m very proud of myself that I can inspire young girls. If you have a body, embrace it. You ain’t always got to be sexy. Sometimes less is more. Like less make up is more. If I want to be in Jordans, a half top and shorts then that’s what I’m going to wear. Call me gay, call me what you want to…And now everybody is doing it. Teyana on proving herself to others: I feel like I’m at a point where I don’t have to do that anymore. Once I got older and matured more, it was still a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation. When I was dressed in my streetwear, I was gay. Then, I do one shoot, show some skin and now I’m not a virgin. I can’t win for losing . Source Images via Vibe/Twitter
