Heidi Montag marked her 25th plastic surgery last week. One-half of The Hills’ gruesome twosome, Heidi marked the occasion with her husband Spencer Pratt and several friends, which apparently they have, in Las Vegas. Here she is at the nightclub at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday to host a birthday bash for herself, which presumably someone paid her to do. Amazing. Speidi tours their future home. [Photo: PacificCoastNewsOnline.com] Once on top of the world, now disfigured and broke as a joke , this is the last you’ll see of Heidi for awhile. She and Spencer have gone downhill fast in life. Now, they’re basically just normal people. G-cup boobs aside. Here’s a photo tribute to Heidi Montag we put together in honor of her special day! After one month of having completely natural hair, I have learned more and more about myself, how people perceive me, and how to care for my hair in its natural state. Although I doubted whether or not I could pull off an extremely short haircut, I went through with the big chop without tears or hesitation. And I was somewhat nervous to wear my short, coily hair in public, but I quickly overcame my fear. Chopping most of my hair off and publicly showing my teeny weeny afro has definitely added to my self-confidence. Hair, Makeup & Nails: The 8 Best Beauty Combos From The Fall Runways [PHOTOS] I’ve realized that if I emit confidence, others will respond in a generally positive way. People are attracted to the portrayal of strength and character; they admire it, regardless of how bold or crazy the hair, makeup, or clothes one wears. So not worrying about what others think has actually resulted in numerous compliments from friends, family, and strangers, which further encourage me in my natural hair journey. One month in, I have settled into a hair regimen that is simple, yet effective. By researching products and practices, I was able to adopt an easy routine that works well for me. I wash and condition my hair every 2-3 days. Afterward, I use a leave-in conditioner, essential oils, and a moisturizer to nourish my kinky, curly hair. Some days, I apply styling gel to wet hair to provide extra curl definition. How To Treat Summer-Damaged Hair Overall, I have no regrets, and I am happy with my decision to grow naturally textured hair. Though I can’t wait for my hair to grow longer, I am enjoying the ease, compliments, and self-assurance that come with my short and natural hair. One of the most shocking fashion statements Lady Gaga can make is none at all. In the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar , she proved this by baring all. While it’s not exactly a Lady Gaga nude photo shoot in the usual sense of the word, her face is certainly unmasked, fresh and nearly makeup free. Seriously, it’s hard to believe this is even her … “Whether I’m wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside,” the 25-year-old pop star tells the mag in its October issue. “I try to not focus on what people expect from me. I think what has been lovely about my relationship with the public is they expect something unexpected.” Somewhat similar to Madonna , one might say. Anyway, she keeps us on our toes, even when abandoning the outrageous getups that have been her trademark. Check out more Lady Gaga pictures below:
Wondering what trends Fall 2011 will bring? From retro bombshell hair to metallic lids and lips, this season beautifully blends classic and modern. Elle teaches you how to master the season’s hottest hair and makeup. Metallic Touches with Matte Skin Dab cream shadow onto the inner corner of eyes for a brightening effect, or pat an icy-hue powder over crimson lips. “The silver gives that metallic finish, and the red warms it up—more sensual and feminine,” says Estée Lauder creative makeup director Tom Pecheux. Matte skin makes ethereal touches stand out. Combat unwanted shine with pressed powder and blotting papers. Statement Blush with Nude Lips Focus color on the apples and cheekbones (above the jawline could be mistaken for an unfortunate rash), and stick to a pink hue—mauve or bronze shades aren’t as “youthful,” says McGrath. Nude lips give an artful contrast to exaggerated blush and “keep the focus on the skin.” Navy Nails with Rounded Tips Since dark shades show wear and tear faster than a neutral tone, prep nails with a base coat. “It gives the polish something to adhere to so it won’t chip as quickly,” says Mike Potter, creator of Knock Out Cosmetics, who used the shade backstage at DKNY’s New York show. Bonus: A base prevents the polish from staining the nail. The ‘Hitchcock’ Bouffant with a Side Part Prep wet hair with a volumizing spray, then blow-dry. Back-comb (and comb and comb) at the crown for desired height, then coil into a French twist, securing with pins. A side part gives a “’60s feel, yet stylized,” says Guido Palau, Redken creative consultant. GET THE REST HERE! Rihanna’s Best Hairstyles [PHOTOS] Your Guide To Wearing Nude Makeup
The little black dress has staked its claim in just about everyone’s wardrobe for good reason – it transcends time therefore making it a classic. Fresh-faced, barely-there makeup was all the rage at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week NY fall 2011 shows. “Less is more,” would be a fitting theme. Think less Lil’ Kim and more Gabrielle Union. When applying makeup for this upcoming season, the focus on should be on bringing your natural beauty to the forefront. Minimal foundation, skipping eyeliner and opting for a vibrant rather than over-the-top lip are just a few of the changes you’ll notice. Click Here To Read The Rest At MadameNoire.com
“We wanted to make her an amazing movie star from the ’40s, ’50s, ’60s; like Sophia Loren or Ava Gardner or Elizabeth Taylor,” says Peter Savic, who created Kardashian’s intricate chignon. “She looked very polished. It was classic and tasteful yet exotic.” While Savic had seen the main gown — and he and Kardashian had traded ideas — the two didn’t have any trials. “I just created it that day,” he says.
