Nude Star Amanda Seyfried Now in Talks for Lovelace Role

We can’t imagine why so many actresses have been attached to the role of Linda Lovelace in the upcoming biopic Lovelace – after all, it’s not every day you get offered the role of (literally) the biggest cocksucker in history. First Kate Hudson dropped out to have a baby, and then Olivia Wilde dropped out, apparently for no particular reason, after it was widely reported she would be playing the role. If I’m not forgetting anyone, Olivia Wilde is now the third person who may play Linda Lovelace in an upcoming biopic of the late porn actress. According to Wilde, she’s considering taking the title role in Lovelace , helmed by Oscar-winning codirectors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. “It would be a tremendous honor,” she said to E! . “She was a fascinating woman–with where she came from to Deep Throat to then working with Gloria Steinem and Nora Ephron. It’s really fascinating.” No, this has nothing to do with the Malin Akerman/ex-Lindsay Lohan project Inferno , but it is the one that was recently offered to a pregnant Kate Hudson. Which of these ladies would be best?

‘Bang Bang Club’ Stars Talk Meeting Their Real-Life Inspirations

‘It was very tough for them,’ Taylor Kitsch says of photojournalists reliving their pasts. By Kara Warner Taylor Kitsch in “The Bang Bang Club” Photo: Tribeca Film New film “The Bang Bang Club” revolves around the real-life story of four combat photographers — Greg Marinovich, Joao Silva, Kevin Carter and Ken Oosterbroek — who risked their lives to capture the brutality and violence around the first free elections in post-apartheid South Africa in the early ’90s. Taylor Kitsch and Ryan Philippe star as two of the photographers, along with Malin Akerman as Robin Comley, their conflicted newspaper photo editor. When MTV News caught up with Kitsch and Akerman recently, we discussed the topical nature of the film , as well as the emotional aspect involved in meeting the real-life inspirations for the characters they portrayed. “When I first met Greg Marinovich, that was a big one for me, and Joao — obviously playing someone that has taken their own life, it hurts them a lot too,” Kitsch explained of portraying Carter. “It wasn’t that long ago, and obviously these guys went through a lot more than what I have with my best friends. Asking them to talk about that was very hard for them. It turned into quite — it was very tough for them.” Akerman’s meeting with the woman who inspired her character was equally emotionally charged. “I was lucky to have met Robin Comley,” she said. “She’s a fantastic woman, and she actually came to set one day — she tried coming to set and saw some of the characters in costume, and she just lost it. She couldn’t even deal. ‘Bang Bang Club’ Star Malin Akerman Talks Photographers’ Deaths In Libya

‘It is incredible how relevant … this film is to what is going on in Libya,’ she tells MTV News. By Kara Warner MTV News’ Josh Horowitz and Malin Akerman Photo: MTV News Given the recent deaths of photojournalists Tim Hetherington and Chris Hondros, who were killed while covering the battles between rebels and Libyan government forces, the subject matter of the new film “The Bang Bang Club” could not be more timely. The film revolves around the real-life story of four combat photographers who risked their lives to capture the brutality and violence associated with the first free elections in post-apartheid South Africa in the early ’90s. MTV News recently spoke to co-star Malin Akerman about the incredible circumstances now surrounding the film. “It’s crazy. No matter what, whether it be now or two years ago, the untimely death of Tim Hetherington and Chris [Hondros] is sad and really awful and incredible that it happened as this movie is coming out,” she said, adding the fact that no matter where we are in time, there are always civil and religious wars raging in the world. “It’s never the wrong moment to shed light on it,” Akerman said. “It is incredible how relevant … this film is to what is going on in Libya. I hope people come out of this film and go, ‘All right, let’s look overseas and see what’s happening and see what we can do.’ ” Speaking to what motivates this specific “breed” of journalists to consistently put themselves in harm’s way, Akerman said that it’s not just about capturing unforgettable events on film, but also about the adrenaline rush. “They’re crazy. They really are adrenaline junkies,” she said. “I just saw Greg Marinovich, who is one of the photographers [who inspired the film], and he walks around at all times with two cameras. … He never leaves home without his cameras. Movieline Premieres Three New Images From Josh Radnor’s happythankyoumoreplease
