Michael Sheen on His Latest TIFF Premiere, the Art of Preparation and Breaking Dawn Limbo

Another year of TIFF almost always means another year featuring Michael Sheen, and 2010 is no different. Though the subject most definitely is: The Welsh stage and screen veteran arrives this week with the world premiere of Beautiful Boy , featuring Sheen opposite Maria Bello as a dissolving married couple who must relearn how to live with each other after their son goes on a mass murder-suicide gun rampage at his college. Writer-director Shawn Ku’s debut feature goes a few places you might expect and a lot more you probably wouldn’t; Sheen spoke about the film, his role, his diligence at character “fusion,” and intriguing news about his future (or possible lack thereof) with the Twilight franchise.

The Green Hornet Trailer: On Second Thought, Maybe This Isn’t So Bad?

Despite a litany of bad buzz , there were always two reasons to remain hopeful about The Green Hornet : Seth Rogen is — for all intents and purposes — very funny, and Michel Gondry is a genius. Like a legitimate genius. Somehow, Taylor Lautner Won’t Realize That These Aren’t His Real Parents in Abduction

The plot of the new Taylor Lautner thriller Abduction centers on his sudden realization that the mom and dad who’ve raised him aren’t actually his real parents. How do you cast those roles convincingly? With two actors famous for being blond, of course! Jason Isaacs (who plays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series) and Maria Bello have come aboard the project as Lautner’s fake family, and for an entire first act, he will pretend not to notice that their tans are nowhere near as good as his. Somewhere, Jennifer Lopez is crying, for the assimilatory torch has been passed. [ Deadline ]

If Only Grown Ups Was Just Two Hours of This Insane Salma Hayek Snake Freakout

Salma Hayek may have writhed seductively with a snake during her centerpiece performance in From Dusk til Dawn , but since then, she’s apparently developed a fear of the reptile that would rival Tyra’s infamous dolphinphobia . Still, at least her terror can be put to a good use, as it was when she leaped out of her chair during an Extra interview and started freaking the f**k out all because an innocent lil’ snake slithered into her field of vision. By producing this video, on display after the jump, the entirety of making Hayek star opposite Adam Sandler in Grown-Ups was not in vain. (Though this isn’t going to get you into Indiana Jones 5 , Salma.) [ Extra via Vulture ]
