Welp. We appear to have an answer to the question we posed just a few days ago. In the wake of Kody Brown appearing to hurl some shade in the direction of Meri Brown last week, we wrote about said shade and wondered: How would Meri respond ? Based on Meri’s latest Instagram updates, it seems like she read the criticism, took a deep breath — and then went to the Happiest Place on Earth. Yup: Meri Brown spent this past weekend in Disneyland. “Just a chill day here at Disneyland! If you’re here and see me, don’t be shy, just say hi! I’m doing some shopping, because of course it’s a super fun thing to do, and I love to share the Disney love!” wrote Meri as a caption to the image above. She added along with the one below: “Vintage Mickey at Disney? Yes please!” Perhaps most telling, as it relates to Brown’s posts and her ongoing relationship status, is one of the hashtags she wrote alongside her second caption: #IndependentWoman . Meri has been very open over the years with her dissatisfaction over her marriage to Kody. She actually had an opportunity to date back in 2015 and 2016 … and she then she ended up meeting someone she thought could be a serious possibility online — only to be catfished for the entire world to see. It’s been a challenging road for Meri to come back from this catfishing scandal . As one of four women married to Kody Brown, Meri has confessed that her love life hasn’t turned out the way she once fantasized. But she did claim on a Sister Wives reunion special this spring that she’s doing her best to move on and accept the arrangement as best she can. “What we’ve had to do is discover our new baseline,” Kody on this special, referring to the issues he has faced with Meri and adding: “Every marriage has a baseline, and it gently changes through the years for most people… Meri and I had an abrupt change. “Different culture, Different religious values, we might have just [gotten a divorce], but we’re fortunate enough to be blessed to be a part of a family that is its own culture. “So we continue to move forward working on that, steadily moving in a direction where we’re just fully mended.” Meri echoed this same sentiment on the same episode, yet she did not sound very convincing while doing so. “You have to figure out a way almost to just cut it off and just be dead,” Meri said of her beliefs about her marriage prior to her aforementioned catfishing scandal. “I honestly have had to mourn what is gone.” In conclusion? “I’m looking at a future as well. I am, and I have a lot of hope for what could be.” We guess that sort of sounds promising, but it’s become evident that Meri simply isn’t happy. She’s merely accept this Sister Wives situation because she thinks it’s the best she can do. Making things even more tragic?
