Jace Alexander, a long-time television director best known for his work on Law & Order, has been charged with two counts of child pornography. Specifically, according to Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore, Alexander is in trouble for for “possessing and file-sharing illegal and obscene performances of sexual conduct by children less than seventeen years of age.” The director was taken into custody on Wednesday after an investigator traced a July 24 download of child pornography to an IP address assigned to his residence; this allowed authorities to obtain a search warrant. Entertainment Tonight broke this disturbing piece of news. This incident takes place a couple weeks after veteran Subway spokesman Jared Fogle was also placed under child pornography investigation. “A forensic examination of computers and external hard drives removed from the location revealed digital files of children who are less than sixteen years of age engaged in child pornography,” the DA’s office announced via statement. Alexander – who most recently worked on episodes of Backstrom, Scorpion and Unforgettable – faces a maximum sentence of seven years in state prison. His bail was set at $10,000 cash and he is scheduled to appear in court in November 19.

Drug Kingpin Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman Escapes Prison Again Drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman escaped through a one-mile long tunnel that was dug under the shower space of his prison cell in central Mexico, authorities said Sunday. After security cameras lost sight of Guzman late Saturday, guards went into the cell and found a hole 10 meters (33 feet) deep with a ladder, said National Security Commissioner Monte Alejandro Rubido. The hole led to the huge tunnel with a ventilation and light system, Rubido said, adding that its exit was in a building that was under construction. A motorcycle on a rail system was found in the tunnel and is believed to have been used to transport tools and remove earth from the space, which was 1.7 meters high and around 80 centimeters (2.6 feet) wide. Rubido said 18 prison guards will be interrogated by prosecutors in Mexico City. Until Guzman escaped, Rubido said, “the day had gone on normally and at around 8:00 pm he was given his daily dose of medicine.” The maximum-security prison is located 90 kilometers (55 miles) west of the capital in Mexico State. Guzman had been jailed there since February 2014. It is the second time in 14 years that Guzman has broken out of prison. Via BusinessInsider : Rapper 50 Cent is the latest musician to speak out against Jay Z’s $9.99-per-month artist-owned music-streaming service, Tidal. During an interview with the Los Angeles radio station REAL 92.3, the rapper was asked his thoughts on the service. “They probably could’ve did something more exciting if they reached out, because the people you saw there don’t even own the rights to their music,” he said. “So they can’t say it’s gonna come out of Tidal. It has to go everywhere.” Essentially, 50 Cent is saying people don’t need to pay upward of $9.99 a month for music that will be available elsewhere, including rival streaming services such as Pandora and Spotify. In other words, he says, “Why would you actually buy Tidal to get something that would be everywhere else?” In March, Jay Z debuted Tidal with a star-studded presentation that included Usher, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Kanye West, Daft Punk, Arcade Fire, Beyoncé, and many others. “Usher was there and Madonna and all these people. That’s a little bit more of a, when you say, ‘It was business,’ it’s more of a corporate play,” 50 Cent said. “When the record is playing on the air, they say, ‘Oh, all right.
