Chris Brown Had ‘No Drama’ At F.A.M.E. Release Party

DJ Juanyto tells MTV News the singer was ‘all about his fans’ at post-‘GMA’ party. By Jocelyn Vena Chris Brown attends his F.A.M.E. album release party on Tuesday in New York City Photo: Johnny Nunez/ WireImage On Tuesday night, Chris Brown was in great spirits as he partied alongside fans at his F.A.M.E. record-release party at New York’s Webster Hall. Earlier in the day, he made headlines when he had a public meltdown backstage after his interview with “Good Morning America,” but by the time the party started, Brown just wanted to redirect the energy to his album. “It was good. There was nothing but girls in there,” DJ Juanyto, who was at the party, told MTV News. “He came onstage, no Hollywoodness. He took all that energy from everyone and started performing. It was dope. No type of negativity. He was really positive. It was really dope.” Brown also performed at the gathering, bringing out pals like Bow Wow, Waka Flocka Flame and Lloyd Banks. E! News reports that the star alluded to his earlier drama, saying, “I wasn’t gonna perform tonight, but f— it! A lot of whack sh– happened today.” Juanyto confirmed that Brown alluded to the media drama, but he said Brown also added, “I’m really here for my fans.” “After he performed, he went up to the balcony and was partying,” Juanyto said. “He came back downstairs and he brought out Lloyd and got into a reggae dance competition with the audience. He’s really all about the fans. There was no drama whatsoever. When he’s around his fans, he has all that love. He’s really all about interacting with his fans.” Brown stayed at the party for about two hours and made sure that the focus stayed on his fan appreciation. “He just really was all about his fans,” Juanyto added. “He really made sure he spent all of his time with them, and he thanked them for coming out. He said, ‘I don’t care how you get the album, as long as you have it, I appreciate it.’ ” Related Videos Chris Brown’s Epic Album Release Day Related Photos The Ups And Downs Of Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E. Elizabeth Berkley’s ‘Ask Elizabeth’ Book Tells Girls They’re ‘Not Alone’

‘I think this was, honestly, the perfect time to write this book,’ the ‘Saved by the Bell’ alum tells MTV News. By Patrick Hester, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Elizabeth Berkley’s “Ask Elizabeth” Photo: Rogers & Cowan/Penguin Books Elizabeth Berkley told MTV News it’s “the perfect time” for her latest project, “Ask Elizabeth,” a self-help book for teenage girls that dropped Tuesday (March 21). The book is an expansion of her website of the same name launched back in 2006. Berkley, who has been married to actor Greg Lauren since 2008, started the venture after her husband mentioned the amount of teen girls coming up to her for advice. “I think this was, honestly, the perfect time to write this book, because as we all know, in the media, for years now, people have been talking about the issues with our teen girls, but no one has really been talking about how to help our girls,” the actress told MTV News. “I think now more than ever, there’s a great need. The ability to know that they’re not alone, and other girls are going through it too and how they can help each other.” The “Showgirls” actress also mentions that good relationships between girls are important, saying that “friendship is a really big core part of the book, because I know for girls … friendships run so deep and I know that girls identify themselves some much by the group of friends they hang out with.” When Berkley played Jessie Spano on the ’90s hit “Saved by the Bell,” friendship was a big theme of the show. But while she still gets approached by fans who want her to re-create the now-famous “I’m so excited, I’m so excited, I’m so … scared” scene from “Saved by the Bell,” she said that period of her life isn’t addressed in “Ask Elizabeth.” “I don’t talk about the ‘Saved by the Bell’ time in the book,” she said. “I talk about other periods in my professional life, but more having to do with me now as a woman.” Will you buy Elizabeth Berkeley’s new book? The awards honor “fair, accurate and inclusive representations” of the LGBT community in television and journalism. Big winners of the night included “True Blood,” which won for Outstanding Drama Series, and “30 Rock,” which won for Outstanding Individual Episode (in a series without a regular LGBT character) for its “Klaus & Greta” episode. Entrepreneur Russell Simmons was honored with the Excellence in Media Award. Ricky Martin took home the Vito Russo Award, which is presented to a “lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality for the LGBT community.” In his speech, Martin credited GLAAD for helping him cope in the wake of his public coming out last year on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” He then went on to push for Latin American gay rights and asked that GLAAD stand up for those who can’t in that community. “I just want to be free. I can say today I’m free,” he said at the event. “And for that I definitely need to thank my parents for being so supportive, my mother and my dad for their unconditional love, and my friends, my family, my fans. And my partner in crime and my boyfriend Carlos.” That was only the beginning of the accolades for those projects and people nominated, with additional GLAAD awards scheduled to be handed out in Los Angeles on April 10 and in San Francisco on May 14. Bieber Fever!

http://jalenroses.blogspot.com/ Justin Drew Bieber[7] (pronounced /ˈbiːbər/ BEE-bər, born March 1, 1994)[1] is a Canadian pop/R&B; singer-songwriter and actor.[2][3][4] Bieber was discovered in 2008 by Scooter Braun,[8] who happened to come across Bieber’s videos on YouTube and later became his manager. Braun arranged for him to meet with Usher in Atlanta, Georgia, and Bieber was soon signed to Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG), a joint venture between Braun and Usher,[9] and then to a recording contract with Island Records offered by L.A. Reid.[5][10] His debut single, “One Time”, released worldwide in 2009, peaked in the top ten in Canada and charted in the top thirty in several international markets. His debut release, My World, followed on November 17, 2009, and was eventually certified platinum in the United States. He became the first artist to have seven songs from a debut album chart on the Billboard Hot 100.[11] His first full studio release, My World 2.0, was released on March 23, 2010 and has since received similar success; it debuted at number one and within the top ten of several countries, and was certified platinum in the United States. It was preceded by the worldwide top-ten single, “Baby,” in January 2010. The music video of “Baby” is currently ranked as the most viewed, most discussed, and most disliked YouTube video.[12] Bieber followed-up the release of his debut album with his first headlining tour, the My World Tour, the remix albums My Worlds Acoustic and Never Say Never – The Remixes, and the 3D biopic-concert film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never – which had an opening weekend gross that nearly matched the record for the biggest opening weekend for a concert-film. Christina Aguilera Talks Press Scrutiny, ‘The Voice’ Gig

‘We’re only able to be seen through the microscope of the media,’ the singer tells UsMagazine.com regarding her recent tabloid coverage. By Jocelyn Vena Christina Aguilera Photo: Ronald Martinez/ Getty Images While the year started off a little shaky for Christina Aguilera, a new gig as one of the judges on NBC’s upcoming TV talent competition “The Voice” may prove to be the career turnaround that the pop singer is looking for. And in a new interview, she admits that it’s not always easy having every move you make scrutinized by the public. “We’re only able to be seen through the microscope of the media and what people gossip about,” she tells UsMagazine.com “You take the good with the bad. It’s by telling our stories, sharing our experiences and really giving a firsthand look at us as human beings [that shows] who we really are apart from what we seem to be.” Aguilera, known for her own vocal pyrotechnics, admits that she doesn’t want potential contestants to come to the show hoping they can win by mimicking her signature style. “I am ready to share it all so I’m really excited,” she said. “I hope we can find the next biggest thing. But I’m not looking for vocal acrobatics. I really sincerely want to be moved by raw talent.” Aguilera will be joined on the “Voice” panel by Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, “F— You” singer Cee Lo Green and country star Blake Shelton. She recently explained during a press event promoting the program that she and her fellow judges hope to bring positive reinforcement and not be too cruel to those trying out for the show, which premieres on April 26. “This isn’t about tearing people down. I want to bring these people up,” Aguilera maintained. “‘The Voice’ really does stand for what it says. Instinctually, you can judge people based on the way they look. I love the fact we get to sit here with our backs turned away from these people and completely use just one sense to hear these voices. I’m not looking for vocal acrobatics, who has biggest range [of] high and low. I’m looking forward to getting moved.” Are you excited to see Christina on “The Voice”? Tell us in the comments. Ryan Phillippe to Alexis Knapp: You Sold Me Out!

Ryan Phillippe is not pleased. Alexis Knapp , the woman who claims Ryan is the father of her unborn child, is already casting him as a deadbeat because he hasn’t paid her expenses. According to sources close to Ryan, not only is this unfair, as it hasn’t even been established that the baby is his, he HAS supported Knapp financially. Not only that, Alexis said that if Ryan supported her during her pregnancy, she wouldn’t go blabbing to the media … which he says she has anyway. Alexis Knapp, who is due in June, says her baby is definitely Ryan’s. Phillippe will take a DNA test as soon as the baby is born and support it if it’s his. Sources connected to Alexis claim while she’s pregnant, she hasn’t received a dime from Ryan and is hurting financially because she’s unable to work. People close to Ryan say Alexis is lying and that he is paying Alexis’ expenses, despite having no obligation to do so until a judge establishes paternity. Short story, this isn’t going well. As a source connected to The Lincoln Lawyer star put it, “File it under the category, ‘No good deed goes unpunished.'” [Photos: Pacific Coast News]
