Yesterday, we reported that Leah Messer is most likely back together with boyfriend T.R. Dues . Mind you, this observation wasn’t based on hearsay or some unverified tabloid rumor, but rather on a tweet that Leah posted herself: “Some couples are just madeee for each other! Earlier this week, Michael Strahan made headlines when he announced that he was leaving Live! With Kelly and Michael for Good Morning America . But it was his co-host Kelly Ripa who really got the media buzzing when she pulled a no-show on Live! Wednesday morning amid reports that she was enraged at the way the announcement was handled. Sources said Ripa was kept in the dark and informed of Strahan’s departure about the same time the news was made public. The New York Times conferred with a source who has spoken with the Live! star and released details about the meeting in which Ripa was told about Strahan’s promotion to GMA. After the show wrapped Tuesday morning, Ripa was called into a meeting with the show’s producer Michael Gelman and WABC general manager Dave Davis, but did not know the purpose of the meeting. After being kept waiting for 20 minutes, Strahan entered the room and told her he was leaving Live! for GMA , and Ripa instantly became irate. “Didn’t I tell you this was going to happen?” Ripa said to Davis at the meeting. “I told you two years ago this was going to happen.” According to the source, Ripa is angry because she thinks the network is neglecting Live! and giving priority to GMA , which has recently been slipping in the ratings. The announcement of Strahan’s move was made public just minutes after the meeting ended. Ripa will very likely return to her hosting position after she returns from a vacation in the Turks and Caicos Islands , where she is celebrating her 20th wedding anniversary with her family – and hopefully blowing off some steam as well.
