Vanity Fair alleges that La Toya Jackson raided and pillaged Michael Jackson’s house just hours after he died, and the late singer’s sister is infuriated. La Toya is threatening to sue the magazine if it doesn’t retract the story. The article, entitled “Estate of Siege,” claims she showed up at MJ’s mansion shortly after his death and began stuffing plastic bags filled with cash into a duffel bag. La Toya’s ” mad scramble for money ” allegedly took place June 25, 2009. That morning, Michael died of cardiac arrest, due to a Propofol injection by Dr. Conrad Murray . After MJ was taken to UCLA Medical Center, La Toya came by his house. VF then says her boyfriend was seen leaving the home in a moving van. According to La Toya, the story is “replete with misstatements of fact, false innuendos, and defamatory insinuations” and she will sue if there isn’t an immediate retraction. Stay tuned on this one.
Dr. Conrad Murray says jail is killing him, sort of literally. The man who killed Michael Jackson (unintentionally) has suffered serious injuries behind bars and he wants out, according to this phone call he made to a friend: Dr. Conrad Murray Jail Phone Call Murray says he was rushed to USC Medical Center this week after fearing he was suffering from blood clots in his legs. He described the experience as such: “It progressed until the leg felt numb … it was painful all to the top of my foot … around the medial aspect of my ankle and all the way to the mid-calf.” “Blood clots are relatively risky … especially if they propagate from the legs into the lungs to cause pulmonary embolism which can result in disability or even death.” Ultimately, doctors determined there were no blood clots and returned Murray to jail. He wasn’t happy about that. “I have had to lay in bed for most of the day because there is no way to elevate my feet,” the physician laments. “One of the recommendations by the doctor is to keep my legs elevated and to increase my physical activity which is impossible in a 5×7 cell.” Dr. Conrad Murray also claims he suffered a shoulder injury and his feet are swollen. He then adds: “I don’t want to be permanently hurt by any condition in here … because if I am, I will not let it rest.” Is that a threat?
Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is officially a mom. The Jersey Shore star and her fiance, Jionni LaValle, welcomed their baby boy – 6-pound, 5-ounce Lorenzo Dominic LaValle – into the world this morning. “The world just got another Guido!!!” a Polizzi rep told MTV, which confirmed the baby’s arrival moments ago. “Nicole, Jionni & Enzo are doing great!” Enzo was born at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J. around 3 a.m. Sunday, according to MTV, which congratulated Snooki and Jionni LaValle . “We couldn’t be happier for Nicole and Jionni on the healthy delivery of their baby boy!” the network said in a statement. “We are looking forward to Lorenzo’s first trip to the Jersey Shore and can’t wait to see his first animal print onesie.” Jersey Shore will return for a sixth season this fall, and her spinoff Snooki & JWoww has also been picked up for a new season, though it’s unclear the extent to which Enzo will appear on either, or whether he has an agent yet. As many times as this kid was shot , he’s lucky to be alive. An 18-year-old man who was shot in the head, leg, arm and chest told friends he felt as if he’d been “punched in the head” and his “arm … blown off” after he was hit by gunfire in an Aurora, Colo., movie theater Friday morning. Louis Duran, 18, was released from the hospital and is recovering at home, said his high school friend Jahlil Hall. Hall visited Duran this morning and said his friend knew he was “lucky to be alive.” Duran skipped the usual Thursday basketball game he plays with Hall and friends, and instead attended the midnight screening of “The Dark Night Rises” with two high school friends, Hall said. He was sitting toward the front of the theater when he was hit by a spray of bullets unleashed by alleged gunman James Holmes. “He said it felt like getting punched in the head and it was really hot,” Hall said. “Then he felt like his arm had been blown off. He ran over to the stairs and some random guy helped him out of the theater.” One friend was grazed by a bullet, while another is in the intensive care unit at University Medical of Aurora, Hall said. Once outside, Duran took off his shirt and wrapped it around his head in order to apply pressure to his wounds, Hall said. “He was on the phone with his mom and just in complete shock,” he said. Duran was transported to the Medical Center of Aurora, where he was treated and released. “There are a ton of pellets still in him,” Hall said. “He’s lucky to be alive, definitely.” We wish him a speedy recovery. Uh Ohhhhh Halle Berry Rushed To Hospital After Accident On Movie Set According to TMZ reports : Halle Berry was rushed to the hospital Tuesday night after suffering an injury while shooting a movie. Sources tell TMZ … Halle hit her head on concrete after taking a nasty fall. According to a photo agency, Halle was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in L.A. We’re told the injury occurred at around 10 PM. There was an ambulance on scene, and it appears that’s how Halle was transported. Halle was shooting the movie, “The Hive.” You’ll recall she suffered an ankle injury during another movie shoot in Spain. Her condition is unclear.
