Well, it looks like there may be a ray of hope for troubled Teen Mom 2 tandem Javi Marroquin and Kailyn Lowry, after all. Just last month we reported that Javi is dating Cassie Bucka , who  confirmed their romance on social media in early December. That marked the first time that either he or Kailyn made it Instagram official with a new boo since calling it quits on their marriage. Now, Javi is confirming to Radar Online that he and Cassie have broken up , and fans are already speculating about why he ended the relationship. They think – or hope – that he did so because he wants Kailyn. “She’s amazing, but Cassie has been really hurt in the past so it’s hard for her to not think that she’ll be hurt again,” Marroquin told the site. With surprising candor, he admits, “I don’t think she was ready” and said that for Cassie, “everything [came] at her at once.” Javi seems resigned to the fact that the relationship was doomed from the start, but he also appears to regret that it came to an end so suddenly: “She’s an amazing girl though and if she ever does allow someone to love her that’ll be a lucky guy,” Marroquin said. “I hope it’ll be me, but not right now I guess.”  “It just sucks cause [Javi and Kailyn’s son] Lincoln was starting to open up to her and asked about her,” he shared. “But I’ll take the bullet on that one.” That’s fair. It was a romance that felt like it got very serious very fast, and Javi’s life is nothing if not complicated, even if he liked Cassie. So why do fans think he’s gunning to win Kailyn – who said so many negative things about their marriage in her new memoir – back? Well, as far as we can tell, the speculation is based on a single tweet that the U.S. Air Force member posted, reading: “I know that I control my thoughts and I should stop reminiscing.” It’s not much of a clue, if you’re looking for hard evidence but it’s enough to give Kailyn-Javi ‘shippers a shred of hope. Every time there’s any sort of possible development in Kailyn or Javi’s life, fans rush to assume that it’s an all-telling sign. Either that the beloved former couple is throwing shade at one another, or in this case, on the road to reconciliation. And of course, it’s possible that these two are actually still pining for each other – but we have our doubts at this point. If Javi really is angling to win his baby mama, he may have to fight an uphill battle after the events of recent months. Or years, if we’re being honest. Kailyn has seemed less than pleased with her ex of late and publicly threw shade when he posted photos of himself canoodling with Cassie: “Remember guys, you have to blast your new relationship all over social media or it ain’t real,” Lowry tweeted, adding: “How many f–ks does Kail give tonight? Zero.” Sounds like Javi might want to keep his distance for a while, no matter what he’s hoping to accomplish over the long haul.
