The news for Josh Waring just got incredibly more dim. Earlier this week, The Real Housewives of Orange County star was arrested for attempted murder. And while that’s a hefty charge, it’s not like anyone didn’t see this coming. If you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County online , you probably already knew that he’s a troubled young man. He shot at a man and then fled the scene in his vehicle. The thing that made it all the more shocking was that he didn’t drive away in his own car. Instead, he opted for a stolen BMW SUV. He then proceeded to cause a traffic accident and closed off the chase by attempting to run off on foot. He was not giving in. Now, new details have emerged about the charges that Lauri Peterson’s son is facing. Waring appeared in the Costa Mesa Jail courtroom yesterday morning. According to an Orange County Superior Court public information officer, Waring did NOT state a plea. Lauri’s worst nightmares are totally coming true about her son. He was slapped with three counts of attempted murder, three counts personal use of a firearm and once count of inflicting great bodily injury. There’s also word that there was a previous disturbance between Waring and his victim, Daniel Lopez. “Apparently there had been a previous confrontation between [Waring] and the occupants of that residence earlier, and he had returned,” Costa Mesa police Lt. Paul Beckman said. “At about 1:30 a.m. my husband was still awake and heard people out in the street screaming and cussing,” a woman who lives across the street from the sober living facility The Way Home said of the dangerous altercation. “He came back in and just said he wasn’t going to deal with this.” We wish Daniel a speedy recovery! It’s been nearly seven years since Brittany Murphy passed away under mysterious circumstances at the age of 32. Strangely, just six months after her death, Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack also passed away . Monjack was only 39, and his death sparked renewed interest in the cause of Murphy’s demise. Her death was ruled natural – a result of the combined effects of pneumonia, anemia, and multiple drug toxicity – but many reasoned that the back-to-back deaths of two people in their 30s must indicate some sort of foul play. Now, in his new tell-all entitled A Case For Murder: Brittany Murphy Files, author Bryn Curt James is examining the possible overlooked causes of Murphy’s death – and exposing new secrets about her sad final days. James claims that Murphy was living in virtual squalor in the days leading up to her death. He writes that the actress passed away on a bed surrounded by “mountain of clothes, make-up, perfumes, an oxygen machine and medical supplies…It was a ready-made drug store. “The large bed was stained and the sheets twisted and drenched in sweat,” James adds. “Flanking each side of the bed were nightstands covered in…half-drunk bottles of water, prescription medication bottles, some open and some empty, and used tissues.” It’s unclear why exactly James is arguing that Murphy was murdered, as his book title indicates, but other sources who were close to the actress in her final days argue that she appeared to be in very poor health. “Not once did I see her eat!” says a film producer who worked with Murphy on one of her final projects. “She would drink coffee all day. She looked sickly.” “Her hands were a purple-blue color,” says another insider. “It was sad and worrying to see how unhealthy she looked and to be honest if it wasn’t for her name I don’t believe she would have been hired.” Sadly, Murphy’s father, Angelo Bertolotti, says that just before her death, Murphy revealed to him that she was determined to leave harmful influences behind her and start anew on the East Coast. “Brittany wanted a different kind of life and she was going to move to New York before her death,” Betrtolotti revealed in a recent interview. “She was so excited to start a new life and have a baby.”
It’s been almost a full year since we first learned that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are getting divorced . By now, we’re sure you know where this is going – both parties have yet to pull the trigger and actually file for divorce. The question is why? If the plan all along was just to separate but continue to live on the same property and amicably co-parent, then why make it public? Typically, when couples announce their plans to divorce, it means they’re getting ready to file papers, and they don’t want TMZ to get the scoop when they do. In Ben and Jen’s case, however, the announcement seemed to actually help their relationship. Just weeks after word of the split went public, Affleck and Garner were attending marriage counseling sessions and getting photographed in public. So why not go the other route and announce that you’re trying to make it work? It’s almost as if someone is benefiting from all of hoopla surrounding the divorce. We’re guessing it’s not Ben. After all, the guy is about to make history by going full Orson Welles on a standalone Batman film. His career does not need a boost. In addition, sources claim Jen has a number of dark secrets in her personal life, but they go unnoticed, as the public is focused on digging up dirt about Ben: “She definitely has skeletons in her closet that no one has looked into because everyone has been focused on the negative attention she’s drawn to Ben’s demons,” says one insider. Chicago Has Recorded 300 Homicides In 2016 So Far The city of Chicago continues to be engulfed in heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, gun violence and according to MSN , the numbers tallied up sky high, even over what should have been a joyous Father’s Day weekend…. Chicago recorded its 300th homicide this weekend and tallied six others over a 60-hour period that saw 55 people shot, 13 fatally, from Friday afternoon through early Monday morning. So far this year, close to 1,800 people have been shot across the city and more than 200 of those wounded have died from their wounds, according to records kept by the Chicago Tribune. A total of 306 people have been killed this year, by shooting, stabbing or other means. A 3-year-old boy was among the wounded who survived the weekend shootings. Police said he’s in critical condition. The 3-year-old was shot in the right shoulder near East 61st Street and South Kimbark Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, police said. The boy was in a car seat when an unknown attacker fired shots at the car, police said. People in the vehicle managed to get the boy to University of Chicago Medical Center. He was then transferred to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition. Five people were fatally shot and nine others were hurt between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Four of the fatalities occurred in seven hours. The fatalities included a 16-year-old boy who was killed in West Englewood about 9:05 p.m. Friday. He was in the front passenger seat of a car driving through an alley in the 6500 block of South Hamilton Avenue when two males came up and fired shots, according to police. At least 28 people were wounded, three fatally, in shootings from 8:30 a.m. Saturday to 4:30 a.m. Sunday, the equivalent of somebody shot every 43 minutes. We’ve excerpted a few portions below: Before I started my new album, I wrote a list of all the things that I was sick of. And one was how much women are brainwashed into feeling like we have to be skinny, or sexy, or desirable, or perfect. One of the many things I was tired of was the constant judgment of women. The constant stereotyping through every medium that makes us feel like being a normal size is not normal, and heaven forbid if you’re plus-size. Or the constant message that being sexy means being naked. I realized that during this process, I wrote a lot of songs about masks filled with metaphors about hiding. I needed these songs because I was really feeling those insecurities. I was finally uncovering just how much I censored myself, and it scared me. Who was I anyway? Did I even know HOW to be brutally honest anymore? Who I wanted to be? In one song I wrote, called “When a Girl Can’t Be Herself,” it says, In the morning from the minute that I wake up / What if I don’t want to put on all that makeup / Who says I must conceal what I’m made of / Maybe all this Maybelline is covering my self-esteem No disrespect to Maybelline, the word just worked after the maybe. But the truth is … I was really starting to feel like that — that, as I am, I was not good enough for the world to see. Sounds like Cover Girl dodged a bullet. But barely. Alicia is still giving up makeup after all… Speaking of which. Despite writing the song, Keys didn’t immediately arrive at the decision to give up cosmetics. Initially she had a lot of fears about being caught looking busted . Every time I left the house, I would be worried if I didn’t put on makeup: What if someone wanted a picture?? What if they POSTED it??? These were the insecure, superficial, but honest thoughts I was thinking. And all of it, one way or another, was based too much on what other people thought of me. Keys began practicing meditation, which seemed to help give her some clarity, but her real aha moment came when she had a less than glamorous photoshoot: It wasn’t until I walked into one of my first shoots for my new album recently that the issue was front and center again. I’d just come from the gym, had a scarf under my baseball cap, and the beautiful photographer Paola (never met a Paola I didn’t like) said, “I have to shoot you right now, like this! The music is raw and real, and these photos have to be too!” I was shocked. Instantly, I became a bit nervous and slightly uncomfortable. My face was totally raw. I had on a sweatshirt! As far as I was concerned, this was my quick run-to-the-shoot-so-I-can-get-ready look, not the actual photo-shoot look. So I asked her, “Now?! Like right now? I want to be real, but this might be too real!!” And that was it. She started to shoot me. It was just a plain white background, me and the photographer intimately relating, me and that baseball hat and scarf and a bunch of invisible magic circulating. And I swear it is the strongest, most empowered, most free, and most honestly beautiful that I have ever felt. I felt powerful because my initial intentions realized themselves. My desire to listen to myself, to tear down the walls I built over all those years, to be full of purpose, and to be myself! The universe was listening to those things I’d promised myself, or maybe I was just finally listening to the universe, but however it goes, that’s how this whole #nomakeup thing began. Once the photo I took with Paola came out as the artwork for my new song “In Common,” it was that truth that resonated with others who posted #nomakeup selfies in response to this real and raw me. I hope to God it’s a revolution. ‘Cause I don’t want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing. Dialing 911 is not a laughing matter. This is an emergency assistance line that must be kept open unless one or someone one knows is actually in need of emergent assistance. But Robbie Richardson has made it impossible for readers not to at least have a chuckle over his recent actions. A five-year old resident of Massachusetts, Richardson recently called authorities… on his father… because he ran a red light. “He tells me, ‘Hey Dad, you just went through a red light,’” Robbie’s father, Michael Richardson, told CBS Boston. “And I said, ‘No Robbie, you can go through that one as long as you stop and there’s nobody coming you can go.’ “He says, ‘No you can’t. That light was red.’ So we get into the car wash and he says, ‘I’m going to call the police.’” And then Robbie really did call the police! You can hear portions of said call in the video below. “My daddy went past a red light,” Robbie told the 911 operator. “He has a black truck. He was in the brand new car, my mommy’s car.” “And then what happened?” the dispatcher inquired. “And he had to go to the car wash and then he went past the red light,” Robbie replied. The police then asked to speak to Michael, who apologized; both for his actions and for those of his son. “Everyone follows the rules, but not Daddy,” Robbie told the Boston Globe, adding that if it happened again, he wouldn’t call the police. “I’ll call the eye doctor so he can fix his eyes.” This little guy (who wants to be a police officer when he grows up) rules.
