According to CBS News , parents and police are issuing warnings against a WhatsApp messaging challenge called the “Momo game” or the “Momo challenge.” The challenge first gained buzz last summer, and mostly children or teens have been known to participate. It requires them to contact a stranger under the name “Momo” using a creepy image. Then, through WhatsApp correspondence, they encourage participants to carry out various tasks if they want to avoid being “cursed.” Some of these tasks include self-harm, and Momo even insists the participants provide photographic evidence to continue the game. Ultimately, the game ends with Momo telling the participant to kill themselves and record it for social media. The “Momo” image is taken from an actual sculpture called “Mother Bird” by Japanese artist Keisuke Aisawa . There’s nothing to indicate Aisawa’s company Link Factory had anything to do with the creation or execution of the Momo challenge. Fans have been captivated by Theresa Caputo’s ability to speak with the dead for years thanks to TLC’s Long Island Medium . But it wasn’t just her special gift that kept them coming back season after season. Viewers became invested in the Caputo’s family life, including husband Larry and their two children. Theresa and Larry were married for over two decades and fans were shocked in 2017 when the couple called it quits . Even making light jokes that she ” should have seen it coming .” But now, Larry Caputo appears to have officially moved on following the divorce. The reality star got fans chatting on Thursday afternoon after he took to Instagram to share a photo with his new girlfriend. “Love my baby boo!” he captioned the shot which included a heart emoji. One follower was supportive commenting, “so happy you’re happy,” to which Larry responded, “Thank you so much.” But as to be expected, not everyone was so kind on the social media platform. “You should go back to Teresa,” one user clapped. “It’s a shame to throw 28 years of marriage.” Larry replied to the hater, “What’s the matter? You got nothing better to do? You must be miserable.” Back in July 2018, TMZ reported that Larry was seeing a woman named Connie Stauddy after they were spotted shopping together in Alabama. The latest performance on Ansari’s Road to Nowhere tour drew the likes of Mindy Kaling, who went as far as posting a photo of her ticket stub on Instagram, with the caption “Funniest s**t ever.” Unsurprisingly, a large number of both Kaling’s fans and critics decided to chime in on her continued support for Ansari throughout the backlash he’s faces following sexual assault accusations. The woman claimed that Ansari failed to acknowledge both “verbal and non-verbal cues” that indicated she was not comfortable being intimate with him. But unlike most cut-and-dry stories, Ansari’s case had many readers scratching their heads on what is and isn’t consent, along with what is and isn’t sexual assault. Earlier this month, the comedian addressed the incident for the first time since releasing his initial statement once the allegations were published. He repeatedly apologized and signaled that he had spent a long time reflecting on his behavior. “There were times I felt really upset and humiliated and embarrassed, and ultimately I just felt terrible this person felt this way,” Aziz reportedly told a crowd in New York City. “I definitely don’t separate the art from the artist,” Kaling wrote to someone else in another response . “His experience has shaped his art and he talked about [it] eloquently.
