According to WTLX 29-year-old mother of 2, Leisa Bonique Johnson, was killed in front of her 3-year-old and 5-year-old daughters while attempting to push her broken down SUV out of the road at 1 a.m. on Monday. When the truck stopping running in the middle of a Spartanburg, South Carolina road, Johnson attempted to push the car to the shoulder and in the process became pinned under the vehicle with the girls sitting inside. The panicked children used her cell phone to call police, but clearly there was nothing they could do to help their mother. Johnson’s aunt and uncle say the car ran out of gas as she was driving to the emergency room, potentially to deal with blood pressure and blood sugar issues. The girls reportedly got out of the car three times and witnessed their mother’s death says Leisa’s aunt Sheila Rookard: “They managed to get out the car three times to see their mama up under their car,” said Rookard. “It’s going to be a struggle, you know, from the beginning, especially with them kids seeing that with (their) mom and stuff,” Rookard said. “Y’all just pray for us.” Here’s where things get a bit shady, in a story on WSPA, one of the daughters reportedly told a family member that a police officer pulled up and told Leisa to get the car out the road. Then left. A woman. With 2 small daughters. To move a car. Alone. At 1 a.m. Reporters are working to confirm the validity of that claim. If true, could spell BIG trouble for said officer and the police department. Rest in peace, Leisa Johson. Those poor girls…

Source: Anna Gowthorpe – PA Images / Getty Tip Jar Robber Drowns In Pond Running From Atlanta Police Some might say that karma came back quickly for this guy, but damn… According to WSB-TV , a man who swiped a tip jar from a pizza shop in the Migos’ hometown of Gwinnett County crashed into a pond and drowned while running from police. 18-year-old Jaylen Purge was being chased by cops on Beaver Ruin Road and was found dead on Steve Reynolds Boulevard inside his car. “So this guy came, right, and I asked him, ‘How may I help you sir?’ He’s like, ‘Do you guys accept EBT stamps?’ I said, ‘No, sorry sir.’ He said, ‘How about your tips?’ He took the tip jar, and he runs away. I tried to chase him, to stop him, and he drove away like so fast, he almost ran over me,” Angeles said. Cops noticed Purge speeding away from the scene and gave chase. At some point his car ran off the road into some trees where police found his vehicle almost completely submerged. There was less than $100 in the tip jar. SMFH.

According to a report in DailyMail , an unnamed woman of the aforementioned age gave birth to a baby girl in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The father, Hakim Din, is 80-years-old thanked Allah for their “precious gift” Dr Shabir Sidiqui described this birth as “the rarest of rare”: ‘Usually menopause sets in on an average at the age of 47 years in India. Once it sets in, there is no possibility (of giving birth). But this is a rare one,’ he said. Both mother and child are said to be in perfect health, but damn, 65 and 80 with a newborn?> Hell naw. A police department in rural Alabama is under fire for a Facebook post that intertwines religion and government says an opposition group. According to AL , the Freedom From Religion Foundation charges that the Opp Police Department (what a PERFECT name for a group of cops, the opps) is violating the law by using their platform to endorse a religious belief. Two firearm-related murders in two days prompted the department to take their frustration to Facebook: THIS PAST SUNDAY, A YOUNG MAN WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN KINSTON. MONDAY NIGHT, A MOTHER WAS SHOT AND KILLED IN NORTHERN COVINGTON COUNTY. THERE HAVE BEEN FIVE MURDERS IN COVINGTON COUNTY IN 2018. THESE MURDERS HAVE BEEN DONE BY OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE WE HAVE TURNED AWAY FROM GOD AND EMBRACED SATAN. WE MAY HAVE NOT MEANT TO DO SO BUT, WE HAVE. IT IS TIME TO ASK FOR GOD’S HELP TO STOP THIS. Remy Ma Recovering At Home After Blood Transfusion: “I’m Doing Much Better”

Without sharing many details, she hit Instagram with an update on herself and her “golden child.” She wrote on Thursday night: “I’m FINALLY back home and doing much better. The baby has been PERFECTLY fine since being born Dec. 14th and I’m resting & recovering at home. (Pap is VERY happy, on cloud 9,999 )” She also thanked her loved ones and fans for all of the prayers, plus the team of doctors and security who made sure her family was OK throughout it all: “Thank you to all of our family, friends, and loved ones who reached out- Sorry for not responding to texts and/or calls – I physically was not able to and my husband @papoosepapoose was concerned & worried about me all while looking after our “Golden Child”. Also, thank you to all the fans who sent their love and prayers We would also like to thank the ENTIRE staff at the hospital (doctors, nurses, aides, even the housekeeping) as well as the AMAZING security team ; not only did you all make sure my family was well taken care of but everyone was very professional and extremely respectful & protective of our privacy; we truly appreciate it –  with love, The Mackies” In case you missed it , Remy Ma was rushed back to the hospital after giving birth due to excessive bleeding. She reportedly had blood transfusions while on the operating table. We’re glad Remy and her baby girl are in good health.

Kansas Man Spends Decades In Prison For A Crime Committed By His Doppleganger, Gets Awarded $1.1 Million

Source: Mongkol Nitirojsakul / EyeEm / Getty The state of Kansas has finally passed a new law that provides compensation to people who are wrongly imprisoned — and first up to receive his retribution is 42-year-old Richard Anthony Jones. According to NBC News , Jones spent 17 years in prison for a crime he has always insisted he didn’t commit. Then attorneys discovered that there was a man who looked nearly identical to him and had a similar name. Back in June 2017, Jones was released from prison after witnesses said they could barely tell the difference between the two men and no longer thought Jones was guilty. On Monday, a settlement was reached and the state of Kansas agreed to pay Jones $1.1 million for his wrongful conviction. Jones was arrested in 1999 for an attack and robbery in the parking lot of a Walmart in Roeland Park, Kansas. Reports say that physical evidence linked Jones to the crime, but he fit the description of the suspect. Two other mistaken conviction lawsuits are currently pending in Kansas. Hopefully justice will be served.
