Focusing on supporting single mother’s and gifting 1 st and 2 nd grade students with Bratz Dolls, the community impact event will be held December 15 th , 2017 at the Barack H. Obama Elementary Magnet School of Technology. Held every holiday season, the charity event is in memory of “Saving Our Daughters” founders Debbie and Curtis Benjamin’s daughter who passed away from a cancerous brain tumor. Bratz Dolls was her favorite toy and Keke Palmer was her favorite celebrity. Using her celebrity for philanthropic endeavors for over 14 years, Keke Palmer has been a constant voice in the community, raising awareness on many issues such as bullying, domestic violence and connecting children to the arts. Passionate about giving back, Keke explains “I grew up in a home where my dad volunteered at the homeless shelter in our town, I would see him prepare hot meals and take them to feed people, that is what we are called to do, give of ourselves and I plan to do more.” While starring on Broadway in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Keke launched the program “ Saving Our Cinderella’s”- an initiative designed to expose underprivileged teenage girls to the entertainment arts. Inviting local NYC youth to Broadway to see Palmer star as Cinderella’s first African American princess was a life-changing and fulfilling experience for many of the girls who’ve never seen a play before. Under the guidance of “Saving Our Daughters”, the program has continued to flourish, with celebrities such as Lupita Nyonga, Rumer Wilis, Yara Shahidi, Grace Byers and others following in Palmer’s footsteps, inviting youth to attend their performances as well .  Our single parent mothers have several disadvantages and the Annual Bratz Doll drive with Radio One and Keke Palmer, will give our moms true hope who are battling issues such as homelessness, sexual abuse, and domestic violence, with their daughters in their families”, says the event host, Ms. Lisa Thompson, Student Support Specialist at the Barack H. Obama School. The Annual Bratz Doll giveaway will also be supported by FOX’s EMPIRE Director and Producer Sanaa Hamri, the cast of FOX’s EMPIRE and longtime board trustee, Roger Bobb of Bobcat Films. This year”s Annual Bratz Doll Drive will be hosted by HOT 107.9 radio personality Dominique Danielle.

Fans React To The Season 8 Mid-Season Finale of The Walking Dead

Read the rest here:

T hey promised us a shocking death was coming for The Walking Dead Season 8, mid-season finale and they delivered. Episode 8 titled “How It’s Gotta Be” was definitely an hour plus nerve-wracking experience and it didn’t help we knew someone was going to die. There was plenty of action, suspense with a heavy amount of foreshadowing as we waited to find out which beloved character was going to bite the dust. All of the turmoil in the form of Negan and his Saviors that was unleashed upon the Alexandrians and Hilltoppers is a direct result of Daryl not being patient and following Rick’s plan. The Saviors were absolutely pissed that they were trapped in The Sanctuary. But who knew the sacrifice would be so great and the one who would suffer again the most is Rick. While Negan is burning down Alexandria, Rick is racing back to warn them but it’s already too late. His son, Carl is in charge and is trying to get the Alexandrians to safety.  Once they leave Carl mans up faces Negan and offers his own life as a sacrifice to give his people time to escape. At first, it just seemed like a ploy but as it played out Carl was really trying to end his life, no seriously he really was. WTF Carl! Carl hops down and is on his own against an army of Saviors led by Negan who are destroying everything on site looking for him. Carl manages to dodge all of the explosions and Negan but his well being remains a mystery. Rick finally arrives back in town frantically searching for his family and finds Negan waiting in his house. They immediately engage in a serious brawl and if we are sure folks thought this might be it for Rick. The fight ends when Negan pushes Rick through a window. So we don’t lose either Rick or Negan at this point. Also, Michonne decided to stick around as well so that also gave fans the impression that damn we might lose our favorite katana wielding bad ass. We just didn’t know who was going to go, but boy did we quickly learn. Michonne and Rick are finally reunited when he finds her chopping up a Savior who made the mistake of trying to kill her. They head back to the sewer and we see a good portion of the Alexandrians have made out alive. Rick is searching for his family and he sees Judith but no Carl. Time to start panicking, he makes it to the end and he sees the lone survivor he scared off in the sewer. Then Carl speaks out and says he brought him to Alexandria. Whew, Carl is alive well sort of, as we get a closer look at Carl he is very pale and we all know what the look means. Carl has a bite, but did it happen while he was trying to escape The Saviors or did he suffer the bit when he was “releasing walkers”? It was a sad moment and the internet quickly reacted to sad moment. I cannot believe they just killed carl off like that.. bye folks #TheWalkingDead pic.twitter.com/XvL7UJwCaq — idk (@WolfNialler) December 11, 2017 The show has totally taken different route extreme route with Carl’s impending death.  Season 8 had it’s ups and downs but the season finale definitely delivered, to see more of the fallout from Carl’s “death” hit the gallery below. Long Island Medium: Larry Caputo Breaks Silence on Split From Theresa Caputo

We guess that there’s no such thing as a happy medium. (Sorry) Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo and her husband have split after 28 years together. For a little perspective, 28 years is longer than Hollywood Medium Tyler Henry has even been alive. Theresa’s husband, Larry Caputo, has now opened up about what he believes went wrong. As we told you, the couple stunned the world with their joint statement: “After 28 years of marriage, we have decided to legally separate.” “We will always love each other and our two wonderful children.” They have two children: Larry Jr. and Victoria. “We are united in supporting each other and our family.” That’s good. We see so many couples separate and immediately start verbally tearing each other to shreds. “Please respect our privacy during this time.” All that we knew for context was what we’d seen on Long Island Medium — that things were less than ideal between the couple. Well, as of yesterday, we know a bit more: On last night’s season finale of Long Island Medium, Larry explained to his friend Danny how things had become difficult in the Caputo marriage. “We’re having a difficult time.” That much, at least, we knew. “I think a lot of the frustration has to do with us not spending the time together anymore.” That can be a killer in relationships, whether they’re brand new or long-established marriages. “Along with that comes the lack of communication so it’s like losing your best friend. It’s hard.” That sounds so sad. ““As much as I try to busy myself so I’m not thinking about it, it’s still there.” The realities of your relationship don’t go away, no matter how much you try to distract yourself. “I know it’s very trying for both of us. I don’t want to make it just about me. I know it’s the same for Theresa also.” It’s good that he was feeling so much empathy for his wife, even as their relationship became strained. We don’t know whether they decided to release their statement about separation the night before the season finale to bring clarification, or in the hopes of a nice ratings boost. We don’t see why it can’t be both. But it’s so promising that the two of them are managing to get along so well. Time spent apart — because of busy careers — can really be crushing to even the sturdiest of marriages. We should note that it’s always sounded like there’s room for reconciliation and to repair this marriage. Let’s hope that they can find a way to rekindle their former happiness. The funny thing about time spent apart is that we wonder if that will stop being such a big deal in the future. Long-distance relationships are more common than ever among young people. They FaceTime or text or chat while playing multiplayer games together to catch up. it’s not the same as physical nearness, but some young couples spend the first months or even years of their relationships apart from each other. We can’t help wondering if those who begin their relationships far apart will build stronger bonds that can endure distance when they’re older. But that won’t help Theresa or Larry now. Now, during their separation, these two will have to decide whether they’re happier apart than they were together. View Slideshow: Celebrity Break-Ups: Who Called It Quits in 2017?
