My name is Rebecca and I have been a Belieber for almost 3 years…

See the rest here:

My name is Rebecca and I have been a Belieber for almost 3 years now (I’m on the far right in the picture). I have seen Justin in concert twice September 14th, 2010 and October 18th, 2012. The first time I saw him it was far away, so as soon as the Believe Tour tickets went on sale I was determined to get good ones. But I didn’t have enough money for meet and greets. I was able to get row 18 on the floor, seats 20 and 21 for me and my best friend. About a month before the concert, my local radio station announced a contest do win meet & greets. The contest was you had to realistically Photoshop yourself with Justin. I happen to be pretty good at Photoshop, so I was confident I could win. A couple days after I entered the contest I got a call at 7:30 AM from my radio station saying I won . I was on the radio and everyone at school found out and the whole school was buzzing about how I won meet & greets. Day of the concert we get our merch and wristbands and lined up to meet Justin. I saw Kenny and waved, he said hi. We find out we have to go in groups of 6. We teamed up with 2 kids from my school and 2 random strangers. I was upset we had to go in groups of 6 cause there was less of a chance I’d be next to Justin. I was right. We got in the tiny room and I just froze and forgot about getting close to him. He was soooo beautiful, he looked photo shopped. For the picture I was pushed over to the right end but I was so nervous. I was shaking. After they took the photo the security guards were pushing us out of the room. Everyone had gotten a hug from Justin already except me and they kept pushing me away ! I was not leaving without a hug though, I lightly shoved the guard to the side and asked Justin for a hug. Of course he said yes and I told him I loved him and then I left. Then I saw Justin’s grandpa and said “Hey grandpa!” He said hey back. Then I started walking away and I just started balling me eyes out. I couldn’t believe I just met him. He was so perfect in every way that I was so overwhelmed. All in all it lasted a little over 30 seconds. I barely talked to him and I was at the edge of the picture but I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. Unfortunately because it was so short and I barely got a glance at him his image in my memory is already starting to fade, but the picture will help me to remember.  They finally let us in to find our seats. Once we saw where they were, our jaws dropped. We were in the first row in the middle of the end of the catwalk. He touches fans hands the most there. The concert started and by that time we’ve officially decided we have the best seats in the house. In only the first song he reached out and held my hand and sang to me for a few seconds. It was amazing!  He even performed ‘As Long As You Love Me’ shirtless basically right in front of me! I could see the sweat dripping down his abs, he was sooooo hot. I got a great video of that.  I’ve been to 6 different concerts before and the Believe Tour was by far the very best out of all of them. Meeting him, the effects, how close we were, him shirtless, and his amazing voice all contributed to that. I’m so grateful that this happened to me and I hope that I’ll never forget it. -Rebecca (@BieberCyrusCA) Originally posted here: My name is Rebecca and I have been a Belieber for almost 3 years…

Skylar Astin On Pitch Perfect And The Enduring Power of Ace Of Base

After humming along with this weekend’s a capella comedy Pitch Perfect , you’re going to want to know more about Skylar Astin, the 25-year-old Broadway alum who made his film debut in Hamlet 2 , appeared in Ang Lee’s Taking Woodstock , and sings his way into Anna Kendrick ‘s heart this weekend as Jesse, Beca’s adorably movie-obsessed aca-love interest and member of the Bellas’ rival team, The Treble Makers. Movieline put ten questions (more or less) to Astin for a chat about Pitch Perfect , the summer camp vibe on set, his upcoming comedy projects, and — perhaps most importantly — why the ’90s Swedish pop outfit Ace of Base deserves props. Musicals are popular in the age of Glee , and Pitch Perfect also pays homage to the spirit of John Hughes movies and the romantic comedies of the ‘80s and ‘90s, but why do you think it resonates so much? I think in so many ways it follows a formula that works in terms of big ensemble comedies, but there are elements of it that have never been done before. For one, a capella has never completely dominated a movie. There have been elements of it — I know John Michael Higgins had a moment in The Break-Up that was hilarious — but I think that there’s something unique about it that doesn’t go too far in one direction, and it’s just fun. You just enjoy it. There’s something that seems very organic about the comedy and the style. You started out very successfully on Broadway, alongside Jonathan Groff and Lea Michele in Spring Awakening . Were you looking for a project like Pitch Perfect that specifically involved music? It seemed like a healthy transition for me but it was more of a coincidence. I wasn’t only searching for these movies but it did seem to fall into place beautifully. I responded because it’s something that’s close to home but I wasn’t actively searching — but I’m not going to complain about it either. Your first film, which was also a musical, was Hamlet 2 — which featured you singing a song with the best song title. Which one? “Raped in the Face?” [Laughs] That is the most ridiculous song ever. It was quite the auspicious debut, Hamlet 2 , and now you have a few more comedies lined up after Pitch Perfect . What types of projects do you find yourself naturally drawn to? I’m at a place right now where I’m not opposed to anything. I worked on dramas before, I love sinking my teeth into something dramatic or a period piece, but there’s something so fun about doing a comedy. When you go to set and your only job is to make people laugh, there’s an unbelievable energy on set. Nobody’s tiptoeing or walking delicately around the actors. I really love doing it, and putting the puzzle together with the sole purpose of making people have fun and enjoy themselves. On the set of Pitch Perfect you had all of these great singers and performers constantly around you. Did the cast spontaneously erupt in song between takes or anything like that? We had a strict no-singing rule. No, I’m kidding. It was exactly that — I wish I could tell you something even crazier but it was like an all-star theater camp, where you had people you’d recognized from TV and film singing theater songs or pop songs on the radio. We were constantly harmonizing with each other, which got to a weird place after a couple of weeks. But when you’re in this kind of ensemble it really feels like you’re putting on a play. So there is that energy of all of us hanging out together and seeing movies together and singing, and God forbid someone pulls out a guitar — it’s just gonna get crazy. I do feel like the film is a bit unfair to one particular song. That would be Ace of Base’s “The Sign,” which becomes a running gag… Oh my god, 1994! I have the album. Were there any songs that, by the end of the shoot, you were all completely sick of hearing, that you wanted to call a moratorium on? The only song that could be in that category for the sake of pure repetition would probably be the medley that the Bellas do throughout the whole first half of the movie. They keep the same kind of routine just like they do in the movie and during rehearsals there were slight changes in each, but playback-wise it was the same thing. That was definitely the most-played song. But my mom used to work out to those songs in my basement when I was growing up; she used to blast “The Rhythm Is Going To Get You,” “Turn The Beat Around,” “The Sign” — those are songs that have been burned into my memory forever, so I don’t think I could a see them in a negative light. Good! Because “The Sign” demands and deserves a popular revival. I think Anna Camp and Brittany Snow are just the people to do it. Now, Skylar Astin is not your full birth name – what’s the story there? Skylar is my first name and Astin is my middle name, and my real last name is Lipstein. When I was 15 I think my first agent just kind of did it for me. I’m not ashamed, I’m not embarrassed, but she said it was just less specific to one thing and she kind of chopped it off. But forever to my friends I will be Skylar Lipstein. Looking to the future, you’ve got 21 and Over from the writer of The Hangover , and you also have a comedy called Cavemen . Meanwhile, your Pitch Perfect character Jesse is kind of the perfect college boy-romantic love interest. Where do you see yourself heading in, say, five years’ time? He’s definitely sweet as sugar. [Laughs] In five years I just want to be working on things that excite me. I’m open to everything. It could be a 19th century period piece or another awesome comedy with the same crew that did 21 and Over . Or it could be Pitch Perfect 4 ! Who knows? Follow Jen Yamato on Twitter . The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Strip Down Memory Lane

It’s the season finale of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and it’s a “Strip Down Memory Lane” but whose memory is telling the truth?  We recap all of the lies, spies, and hidden texting in our THG +/- review. Angelo, the former strip club manager now supposed spa owner is back and not only is this guy sleazy, he’s a horrible actor.  Minus 10 . I love Kathy’s reaction to the guy.  She thinks he’s just some sleazeball hitting on Melissa.  Well, she’s half right. Then she rolls her eyes when she quips, “We’re all married here.  Move along.”  Plus 8 . Somehow once Kim D takes the mic at her fashion show she manages to look even trashier.  I wouldn’t have thought that possible.  Minus 12. Last week I was almost willing to give Teresa the benefit of the doubt.  Maybe this was all Kim D’s doing and Teresa was just being used.  Then Teresa opened her mouth and looked guiltier with every word she spoke. If Teresa didn’t want any trouble she would have kept her mouth shut.  Instead she followed Melissa into the ladies room and confronted her, asking her about Angelo.  Minus 13 .  I smell a pink sequined rat. Melissa swears she only bartended for the guy and that it was before she ever met Joe.  Again Teresa shows her true colors when Melissa says she was teaching second grade when she met her husband.  Teresa’s response, I don’t know what you were doing at night .  Minus 15.   Wow!  Who says that? Angelo makes the rounds at Posche telling anyone who will listen that Melissa danced at his club and that Teresa was in on the set up.  Then once word gets out that Melissa has called her husband, the Mr. Clean look a like disappears and Teresa bolts through the room trying to do damage control. Back at the booth, everyone’s trying to figure out what the heck is going on as they text one another under the table.  Plus 10 to Kathy who decides she’d rather just sit there and eat her salad. Jacqueline gets a text from a friend that says this set up has been weeks in the making.  She shows it to Lauren who shows it to Caroline who shows it to Melissa.  Minus 7 .  This is beginning to feel like a high tech version of telephone. As Kathy says, anyone who is a real friend to Melissa wouldn’t care whether she danced for this guy ten years ago or not.  Teresa seems the only one obsessed with the idea. Which leads to the question… why now ?  Everything was going so well.  Is trying to prove that Melissa has a sordid past worth betraying her brother?  Minus 15 .  It seems so. Perhaps she just didn’t think this through because the thought of her brother getting involved seems to shock her.  Then again, Teresa’s not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. Again, Kathy pegs it when she says that whether or not Teresa was involved in the set up, she certainly didn’t do anything to stop it.  The saddest part may be when Teresa turns on Jacqueline.  When she tries to throw all of the blame for this debacle on her, you can see how crushed Jacqueline is. Then, on camera, she digs up her friends supposed stripper past. Teresa knows no shame.  Minus 13 . On the up side, I think Jacqueline is finally done with Teresa. Plus 20. Then all of sudden Kim D. has all of these friends of hers who mysteriously come forward to swear they knew Melissa was a stripper all along.  Of course Kim D is despicable trash so consider the source. At the end of the show we find out the following… Caroline has not spoken to Teresa since the last reunion show.  No surprise there. Lauren got Lap-Band surgery and Cafface is thriving. Albie and LIndsey are no longer and item.  Minus 10 . That’s a shame. They both looked happy. Kathy’s homemade cannoli kit comes out this year. Plus 5 .  I might actually buy one. Victoria’s staying home.  Dorm rooms weren’t for her. Kathy’s still talking to Teresa..through texts.  Why bother? Melissa and Joe are selling the house to get farther away from Teresa.  I wonder how far they’re willing to go. Teresa wrote another book, “Fabulicious! Fast & Fit.”  It’s a NYT best seller.  Minus 7 .  Who buys these things? Joe is still awaiting trial. Teresa hasn’t seen her brother since the Posche Fashion Show. Teresa apologized to her fellow cast mates. Of course she did it in a magazine…and she excluded Kathy once again.  So funny Plus 11 . Jacqueline hasn’t spoken to Teresa since this episode. Plus 15 .  Good for her. Now we have to tune in next week to see who will actually show up for the reunion. Episode total = -33!           Season total = -438!

Jessica Ghawi, Dark Knight Rises Shooting Victim, Escaped Mall Shooting Last Month

Our thoughts and prayer go out to all victims of the senseless shooting inside a Colorado movie theater early this morning. But we take this time to recognize Jessica Ghawi, a 24-year old aspiring sportscaster who lost her life in the attack, because her tragic story is almost impossible to believe. Ghawi, who wrote a blog under the name Jessica Redfield, posted a recent entry in which she detailed just how fortunate she had been to narrowly escape a fatal mall shooting in Toronto last month that left one person dead and seven injured. “What started off as a trip to the mall to get sushi and shop, ended up as a day that has forever changed my life,” Ghawi wrote, explaining how a last-second decision to eat a different meal for dinner caused her to escape – by minutes – the gunman who opened fire in the food court she had planned to be in. “I was shown how fragile life was on Saturday,” Ghawi added. “I saw the terror on bystanders’ faces. I saw the victims of a senseless crime. I saw lives change. I was reminded that we don’t know when or where our time on Earth will end. When or where we will breathe our last breath. For one man, it was in the middle of a busy food court on a Saturday evening.” Tragically, incredibly, Ghawi ended up as one of the dozen people today who experienced the same tragic fate as that man in Toronto. We honor the memory her Jessica and the others who passed away with these words from her blog entry: “I say all the time that every moment we have to live our life is a blessing. So often I have found myself taking it for granted. Every hug from a family member. Every laugh we share with friends. Even the times of solitude are all blessings. Every second of every day is a gift.”

Michael Jackson Still The King Of Pop Three Years After Death

MJ’s continued influence on pop culture has proved that the King of Pop will forever remain in the hearts of music fans. By Nadeska Alexis Michael Jackson Photo: Music fans the world over can mark June 25, 2009 as one of those eerie days that force them to recall exactly what they were doing in the moments before they heard tragic news. Michael Jackson died that day, at the age of 50, and the world was not ready to see him go. No entertainer could ever fill the void that MJ left behind, but his memory has not faded in the three years that he’s been gone. In the past 12 months alone, we’ve seen Jackson-inspired productions, heard narratives from celebrities who continually cite him as a key influence, and this summer his face will be plastered on Pepsi cans to commemorate the 25th anniversary of his classic album Bad. Keep reading to see a few examples from the past year that prove that Jackson has remained forever in the heart of pop culture. Conrad Murray manslaughter trial The public and very messy manslaughter trial for Jackson’s doctor Conrad Murray began in late September, and it was an excruciating and drawn-out ordeal for fans who were hoping to find closure after the star’s death. After a painstaking six-week trial, which included testimony from 49 witnesses, a jury delivered a guilty verdict on involuntary manslaughter charges for Murray on November 7, and the world let out a collective sigh of relief. Watch the Throne shout-out The guilty verdict in Murray’s involuntary manslaughter trial was handed down just hours before Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne tour hit Madison Square Garden in New York, and it was clear that the hip-hop Titans were paying attention, just like everyone else. While spitting his lines on the WTT’s “Welcome to the Jungle,” Jay threw extra emphasis on the line, “Rest in peace to the leader of the Jackson 5,” which drew applause from the crowd. Cirque Du Soleil launches Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour After a few preliminary shows in Canada, in October Cirque Du Soleil launched Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour in the U.S., dedicating a two-hour production entirely to the fallen legend. The mind-blowing mashup of dance and acrobatics, set to MJ’s music, was an immediate hit, and the 65 artists who trained intensely for their performances did not take their responsibilities lightly. When MTV News caught up with one of the dancers backstage, following a performance set to “Danger,” he admitted that the entire production was deeply emotional, and that if MJ could see the show, “he would feel such a sense of pride of what he has given us to work with.” Jackson tops fans’ hologram wish list Tupac’s hologram appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April set off a firestorm of speculation about which deceased entertainer we could expect to see onstage next. Not surprisingly, MJ was on the tip of many a fan’s tongue. LMFAO ‘s Redfoo put MJ’s name at the top of his hologram wish list, while a quick poll of fans in the Times Square area found that the masses wholeheartedly agreed.”It’s a really clich

Sheryl Crow Diagnosed with Brain Tumor

Sheryl Crow may just wanna have fun, but medical diagnoses continue to get in the way. A rep for the former Grammy winner and breast cancer survivor confirmed today that Crow is suffering from meningioma, a treatable, benign brain tumor. The artist accidentally spilled the sick beans herself last night while talking to Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Doug Elfman. “I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI. And I found out I have a brain tumor,” Crow told the journalist . “And I was, like, ‘See? I knew there was something wrong.’ I haven’t really talked about it… But it’s benign, so I don’t have to worry about it. But it gives me a fit.” A recent case in point: when the singer forget the lyrics to “Soak Up the Sun” during a concert in Florida. “She is doing great and is healthy and happy,” Crow’s rep says to E! News. “Half of us are walking around with [meningioma] but you don’t really know unless you happen to have an MRI. [Crow] has no symptoms and everything is fine. It was a random mention during the interview. It was not meant to alarm anyone.”
