While Josh and Anna Duggar dominated the last two installments, 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 18 put the focus squarely on Amy Duggar. The Duggar cousin, a musician, performed on a cruise ship this week, and also celebrated her birthday on 19 Kids and Counting Season 14 Episode 18 . Yes, when you watch 19 Kids and Counting online this week, you will see part reality show, part behind the scenes family dramedy, part Amy infomercial. At least that’s how it came across at times. In the episode, entitled “Amy’s Nashville Dreams,” Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s niece continued to pursue her love of music in hopes of making it big. It’s been slow going in that regard. Having previously moved to Nashville in hopes of achieving fame and fortune in the entertainment world, she’s now back home in her native Arkansas. She hasn’t given up, but it’s been humbling. Her next gig in pursuit of the dream? Singing aboard the Branson Belle show boat in Branson, Missouri. Her mom Deanna Jordan and Grandma Duggar were on hand as she performed in front of 700 people and did well, despite an opening technical glitch. “I think I’m clearly growing as an artist,” Amy said. “If I can handle a song not coming on with that many people staring at me, whatever could happen, bring it on!” “I’m proud of myself. I never thought I was so strong.” After that, it was time to spend her 28th birthday with Michelle, Jim Bob, and their 19 kids (and counting). They all bonded over a campfire and cake. Soon enough, it was back to work, and we saw Amy Duggar perform for several executives in Nashville, where she acquitted herself very professionally. “I gave my heart and soul into that performance. I wanted to sell myself as an artist and not just some random cousin from a big family,” Amy said. “I am so humbled right now. I could kiss the floor!” No floors were kissed at her music video shoot, though, when she showed up not remembering lyrics to her own song, “Beautiful Weather.” Producers? Not happy. The video was a hit with the family, and only reinforced her decision to make music her life’s goal. Amy says marriage and babies will have to wait for now. “I do want to get married. I do want to have kids. I want to adopt someday. Those things are just not available at the moment. God’s timing is perfect.” “It’s just not always up to me.” He apparently wanted Jill Duggar pregnant and possibly Jessa Duggar pregnant immediately, but for now, music looks like it will be Amy’s path in life.

Eva Mendes on First-Time Motherhood: It’s Exhausting!

For the first time since becoming a first-time mother, Eva Mendes is speaking out in depth about the experience. The actress, who gave birth to a daughter named Esmeralda in mid-September, recently sat down with online publication The Violet Files and didn’t bring up the topic of her famous baby daddy, Ryan Gosling. But Mendes did speak on the overall struggles of caring for a tiny person’s life at all times.  “I’m completely exhausted,” the star said, joking: “I thought my wild nights were over but these are some of the wildest nights I’ve ever had.” Mendes said she is yet to hire a nanny because she believes “part of being a mother” is going through the “struggle of not being able to sleep and not knowing what I’m doing and really going through it with her and battling out those nights.” Fans, meanwhile, have been wondering for awhile about the origin of Esmeralda . How did Mendes and Gosling arrive at that name? “We both love the Esmeralda character from the Victor Hugo novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame and just think it’s a beautiful name,” explained. “Her middle is Amada, which was my grandmother’s name. It means ‘beloved’ in Spanish.” That’s beautiful. Aside from now acting as a parent, Mendes said she has starting to think like one. “I consider how my own actions now will seem to her later on,” she said. “For instance, with the Violet Grey photo shoot, I thought, ‘Is this something that she’s going to be proud of?’ The idea that I would ever embarrass her is really heartbreaking for me.” Why do we doubt that Kim Kardashian ever thought in such a way? For instance, I haven’t thrown up since the ‘90s and she’s thrown up twice since we started this interview. Motherhood is cake compared to what it’s like to be a baby.”

Miley Cyrus broke up with Liam Hemsworth  almost a year ago, and since then, she’s chosen to focus on what’s really important in life: twerking, tongue wagging, and smoking copious amounts of weed. While Miley seems happy with her choice of lifestyle, her achy-breaky dad, Billy Ray, is understandably less than thrilled with his daughter’s priorities. Sources say Pa Cyrus is looking to play matchmaker for his daughter, and he knows just the kind of guy he’d like to see her end up with. “Billy Ray is looking for someone successful who won’t take advantage of Miley,” an insider tells Ok! magazine. “He’d love to get her together with country singers like Kip Moore or Chris Young who are warm and level-headed.” This isn’t the first time Billy Ray has creepily taken charge of his daughter’s love life. Ryan Gosling cooked, cleaned and grocery shopped for Eva Mendes in the early months of her pregnancy, and now it seems there were reasons for his servitude that went beyond the fact that he’s a stand-up guy. The couple kept the news that Mendes is pregnant out of the tabloids for an astonishing seven months, and according to reports, having Ryan run all the errands was an important part of keeping Eva’s baby bump under wraps. “Their lives completely changed as soon as Eva got pregnant,” a source tells People magazine. “They used to travel all over the place together and go on hikes with their dogs.” As soon as Mendes began showing, however, she reportedly holed up in Gosling’s LA apartment and “barely left the house.” Ryan waited on Eva hand and foot during this difficult time and aside from a few suspicious instances (such as when Eva was a no-show at the Cannes Film Festival where her and Gosling’s film, Lost River , premiered) the couple seamlessly pulled off one of the great celeb cover-ups in recent memory.  As for whether Ryan will marry Eva after the baby is born, given how secretive these two have been in the past, if it happens, we probably won’t hear about it until well after the fact. Rumors are running rampant this week that Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are back together, or getting back together, following his split with Eva Mendes. But, like The Notebook , is it more romantic fantasy than reality? Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams Back On? It makes sense that the masses want Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams back together ? If they didn’t, this isn’t a planet we’d want to be living on. It’s also understandable how the rumors popped up. The heart throb actor is said to be on the rocks Eva Mendes, if not broken up with her completely. Given that, and the fact that Rachel McAdams still exists? A glimmer of possibility was born. A dream was renewed. Hope, once again, sprang eternal. The only problem with the scenario? There’s little evidence to support the idea that it’s actually happening, no matter how much you might will it to. First, his alleged split with Eva Mendes has not even been confirmed. Second, despite reports that Ryan and Rachel are spending a lot of time together recently, the contrary appears to be the case, as she’s in Hawaii filming. Number of Gosling sightings reported there in recent weeks? Zero. The so-called “couple” has not been seen in any public capacity in forever, so the idea of a romance, great celebrity gossip as it may be, is a stretch. Sam Mendes NOT Confirmed to Direct Next Bond Film

Sam Mendes, you’re  killing us! After he insisted he didn’t want to direct any more Bond films, Mendes had reportedly signed on to helm  Bond 24 , and was even working on a deal for  Bond 25 . But, that no longer seems to be the case. During a red carpet event for the opening of his West End theatrical production of  Charlie and the Chocolate Factory , Mendes insisted he’s been too focused on the new play to deal with  Bond . When asked about his involvement with the next Bond film, Mendes said “I don’t know yet. I’m in discussion over the ‘B’ word and I won’t make any decision until this [play] is open.” Regardless of whether Mendes is directing it, we do know that Daniel Craig will return to play 007. We also know about the sexy new Bond girl: Penelope Cruz . That’s good enough for now.
