Debbie Rowe took the stand at the Michael Jackson wrongful death trial today, making for an insightful and profoundly emotional experience. Debbie Rowe Testifies at Michael Jackson Trial Jackson’s ex-wife was ordered to testify by AEG Live, who the icon’s family is suing for billions, citing the concert promoters alleged liability for his demise. The Jacksons say AEG was negligent by ignoring warning signs, pushing MJ more than he could take, and hiring Dr. Conrad Murray to oversee his health. On the stand, Rowe found herself explaining Jackson’s relationship with his doctors, and with drugs, which turns out to be the centerpiece of the case. Through tears, she lamented his longtime battle with addiction , saying, “His fear of pain was incredible and I think the doctors took advantage in that way.” “Michael expected doctors to do no harm. Unfortunately, some doctors decided when Michael was in pain they would try to help him, and so he listened.” Debbie Rowe explained that when she was working for Dr. Arnold Klein, she would sometimes go to Jackson’s house twice a day to check on him. She would also go on the weekend, adding that the doctors were competing for MJ business and would call him and tell him they had better drugs. At one point, she called Dr. Allan Metzger and told him that Klein wasn’t doing what was best for Michael, and that Metzger was good for the star. Or at least he might have been. We’ll never know, she lamented, blurting out at one point, “‘Cause Conrad Murray got in there and killed him.” Rowe said Dr. Steven Hoefflin would give Jackson Propofol when he would have his burn scars injected, and only when having a procedure done. However, Rowe added that at times, she knew about when one doctor would just give him Propofol and put him under for 4-5 hours without treatment. She said she talked with Jackson about the problem but “he was worried about the pain … I’m probably one of the one people that said no to him.” Debbie Rowe , interestingly, was called as a witness by AEG, which is looking to establish a pattern of drug abuse that Michael alone is responsible for. They believe her stories will prove that they are not complicit in the King of Pop’s death; Rowe herself does not see eye to eye with them there, though. Debbie Rowe is expected to testify at the Michael Jackson wrongful death trial that her ex-husband was addicted to Propofol 12 years before he died. At least twice in the ’90s, doctors misused a drug similar to Propofol, enabling MJ to sleep through the night – or so TMZ reports she’ll tell the jury . Debbie Rowe will be called to testify by AEG Live, though she views herself as a hostile witness, as she feels AEG is largely responsible for MJ’s death. She is expected to say that in 1997, doctors administered Diprivan (an anesthetic and form of Propofol) to Michael in a Munich, Germany hotel room. Rowe will say the drug was administered specifically so Michael could sleep. The testimony is significant because AEG Live is trying to show Michael Jackson was responsible for his own decisions and misused drugs for years. Rowe will also say, contrarily, that she never viewed him as a drug addict. She will testify that was addicted to Demerol, which he used to deal with the pain and anxiety from scalp surgeries after being horribly burned years earlier. He was not, however, a reckless or out-of-control drug fiend in her eyes. In fact, he had gone to rehab to battle addiction and he was open about it. Rowe personally injected Michael in the buttocks with Demerol and Vistaril several times while she worked for Dr. Arnold Klein , MJ’s closest confidante. She had no idea that in the last months of Michael’s life, Klein (the rumored biological father of Prince and Paris Jackson ) gave him Demerol often. Rowe is expected to say on the stand that she saw a video of MJ leaving Klein’s office looking particularly out of it, just days before he died in 2009. After he passed, she called Klein and said “You killed him. What did you give him?” Rowe also told her therapist that year, “They’re [AEG] gonna kill him.” Whether this plays out on the stand – and how a jury reacts, with a BILLION-dollar lawsuit on the line – remains to be seen, but we’ll keep you posted.
Pamela Smith, Michael Jordan’s alleged baby mama, is not actually his baby mama – and a judge has ruled that she will now pay for the false accusations. Pamela Smith filed a paternity suit against MJ, claiming he fathered her 17-year-old son Taj and demanding a DNA test, full custody and child support. Jordan did have a fling with Smith while he was married to his first wife Juanita, but denied paternity and asked a judge to fine her for wasting his time. His Airness’ wish was granted . After the court found that Taj’s paternity was established way back in 2003 – and Jordan is not the father – the judge slammed Pamela over the stunt. The judge called her bogus paternity claim one big publicity stunt, pointing out she hired a publicist before even getting a lawyer and smearing MJ. The judge fined her an undisclosed amount and ordered her to pay Jordan’s legal bills ($9,704.13). Not bad … well unless he decides to sue her now.
