It’s typically hard to find fault with a photo of Irina Shayk topless . The same can be said for supporting the safe rescue of countless kidnapped children. But put those two things together and, well… there’s a bit of understandable controversy. The model has joined the #BringBackOurGirls campaign, an online movement meant to raise awareness over the hundreds of Nigerian schoolgirls who were abducted by a terrorist group last month. It’s a movement celebrities such as Michelle Obama are also a part of – but Shayk is the only person so far to pose topless on its behalf. Many Instagram users have slammed Shayk’s decision to go half naked in this context, referring to her as “tasteless” and “ignorant” given the subject matter. “This is extremely ignorant and dumb,” reads one comment. “Holding this hash tag in front of your boobs as if it was some kind of Miss America badge. Seriously? THIS.IS.NOT.ABOUT.YOU.” Others, however, have praised Shayk for bringing any kind of attention to this tragic situation. Where do you stand? BET is bringing back the funny with this year’s ceremony! Chris Rock To Host 2014 BET Awards Queen B and Hov, Drake, and all the rest of your faves will be treated to classic comedy from none other than veteran comedian Chris Rock at this year’s BET Awards ceremony. The big announcement came Wednesday evening during an episode of 106 & Park . Via MTV.com : Not everybody hates Chris. BET announced on Wednesday (May 14) that comedian Chris Rock will serve as host to its 2014 BET Awards. “We’ve been trying to make this happen for a VERY long while, and we’re ecstatic that Chris Rock will be the host of the BET Awards for the first time,” said Stephen Hill, president of Music Programming and Specials at BET in a statement. “Mr. Rock is a comedic genius with a rapier wit who is a keen observer of pop culture.” Rock, a huge fan of hip-hop (he contributed LOLs to Kanye West’s “Blame Game”), is excited he’ll finally get a chance to host on of his favorite award shows. “I watch the BET Awards every year,” Rock said later in a statement. “It’s one of my favorite award shows combining people from movies, sports, TV and music. Where else can you get Rick Ross and Michelle Obama in the same room?! The BET Awards is like a party where nothing is off limits. My peers have done the show and now it’s my turn.” The awards show will broadcast live Sunday, June 29 at 8 p.m. on BET. Nice! The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star exchanged vows on Friday with John Bluher in a beachside ceremony at the Bel-Air Bay Club in Pacific Palisades, according to People. “Today, John, Kennedy and I became a family,” Armstrong told the magazine, referring to her new husband and her young daughter. “I married my best friend and Kennedy’s family circle became complete.” The public speaker/author got close to Bluher after he helped Armstrong settle her estate following the suicide of her late husband, Russell Armstrong in 2011. The two were separated at the time amidst rumors of domestic abuse.
