Six years after they first walked down the aisle, Dr. Jennifer Arnold and Bill Klein of TLC’s The Little Couple renewed their wedding vows in a beach ceremony. Their 2014 wedding took place on a beach in Galveston, Texas, surrounded by 50 family and friends on April 27, all planned out by Klein as a surprise for Arnold. “It turned out great,” Klein says . “She was so surprised. It has been a crazy year, good and bad, and we came out unscathed. I really wanted to make it happen and do something special for Jen.” The couple were hit with scary news last year when Arnold was diagnosed with a rare cancer and had to undergo intensive chemotherapy treatment. All the while, they were adopting daughter Zoey, 2, from India. She joined son Will (who just celebrated his 4th birthday), at their home in Houston. “Oh my goodness, I was very, very surprised,” Arnold, whose cancer is now in remission, says about the plans Klein had made for the ceremony. “It was wonderful … more beautiful than I could believe. Being on the beach and having the kids there, it was definitely different this time around.” Klein launched his plan by getting down on one knee and proposing again, and, the next day, she was shocked that he’d put together this ceremony. “This time around it was about taking care of Jennifer,” Klein says. “Even though she found out about it last minute, she came up with better vows than I wrote.” “Bill took me completely by surprise and it was in a good way,” Arnold says. “I don’t know how he got all of our family and friends there. It blew me away.” The duo’s romantic vow renewal will, obvious, be featured in the season finale on June 17.
