Prince William and Kate Middleton are “hugely saddened” over the “grotesque, unjustifiable invasion of privacy” by a magazine publishing topless photos of Kate. French publication Closer printed the Kate Middleton pictures , taken during their holiday at the French chateau of the Queen’s nephew, Lord Linley. The photos are blurry and taken with a long lens, but there are four pages of photos of the couple, with Kate Middleton topless in several of them. A spokesman for Clarence House, the Prince of Wales’ office, confirmed the existence of the photos and the fact that the couple is reeling because of them: “The incident is reminiscent of the worst excess of the paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales, and all the more upsetting to the Duke and Duchess for being so.” “Their Royal Highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them.” “Officials acting on behalf of their Royal Highnesses are consulting with lawyers to consider what options may be available to the Duke and Duchess.” British newspapers were offered the photos last week but turned them down. Similarly, all but the Sun refused to run the Prince Harry naked photos. The shocking photo leak comes during the couple’s Asia trip and amid persistent pregnancy rumors that follow Kate, who is said to be very upset. Royal officials believe a “red line” has been crossed this time, and “there has been a significant hardening of William and Kate’s response.”
Britain’s most eligible bachelorette is making headlines in the Big Apple. Pippa Middleton arrived in New York last weekend, and has the rumor mill buzzing with news of a possible fling with hotelier/businessman Andre Balazs. Page Six reports that the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister spent Sunday in Shelter Island at Balazs’ hotel and there was “definite chemistry between the pair.” A spying source for the New York Post gossip site says “Pippa was wearing red jeans and a white top. She was dressed sexy, but not too sexy. PHEW. The term “flirt central” was also used to describe their rapport, so there’s that. Andre Balazs, 55, famously dated star Uma Thurman and recently was in a relationship with comedienne Chelsea Handler that ended last spring. Pippa Middleton, 28, has been surprisingly and noticeably single ever since breaking up for good with her on-again, off-again BF Alex Loudon last year. Age difference, schmage difference. The following image is the brunette beauty’s face morphed on to the body of some random model, marking the second time this month that a publication has fabricated a photo of Middleto n for marketing purposes. In a lame attempt of the issue’s effort, Marie Claire Editor Aspasia Karrass tells the UK’s Telegraph: “We were so inspired by her fairytale wedding and her life as a modern-day princess, which is why we elected Kate Middleton as our cover star for the August issue. The cover is actually a hyper-real illustration of Kate, meant to be a fan art tribute to fashion’s new royal icon.” TRANSLATION: We were desperate to sell copies and she wouldn’t actually pose for us. In an equally pathetic attempt to capitalize on Middleton and her popularity, meanwhile, the cover also claims that Kate “wears SA’s best local designers*” – only for the fine print to read: “*Of course she doesn’t. But she should.” No word yet from Great Britain regarding the magazine, but sources say the palace is royally steamed over shots of Kate and Prince William on their honeymoon .

Unlike the photoshopped image of Middleton with yellow teeth , an Australian magazine called Woman’s Day has published an image of Kate and Prince William on their honeymoon on North Island, a tiny archipelago in the Seychelles. It’s unclear how a paparazzi member sneaked on to the tropical paradise, as it’s rumored to be home to more tortoises than people. But one insider said the shutter bug likely earned an enormous payday for the pic. “Any shot of them on their honeymoon was going to go for at least half a million but because Kate is in a bikini I would estimate that this is a million dollar shot,” celebrity business journalist Jo Piazza told Yahoo! Shine. It’s true. For all the Kate Middleton fashion trends out there, best of luck trying to find another photo of the would-be-queen in a bathing suit. Sources say the royal couple is “distraught” over the leaking of the picture, as they went to great lengths to keep the honeymoon destination a secret from the press. Reports say that coast guard patrolmen and security teams were even stationed around the bungalow in which Kate and William stayed. Clearly, someone either messed up or was in on the tabloid scoop, however. Over a dozen additional images of Middleton and her prince swimming and strolling are featured inside the issue.

In the clip, a Kate lookalike stands outside with a fax Prince William and Queen Elizabeth II, complaining, “I didn’t marry royalty to schlep around in a taxi.” They do look a bit like Will and Kate, too.
