The basis for Mariah Carey’s split from fiance James Packer has changed quite dramatically since it was first reported. News of this engagement coming to an end first leaked out late on Wednesday night. Initially, reports cited Packer’s disdain for Carey’s excessive spending habits and love of the spotlight for the reason why he ended his relationship with the artist. But whether it was Carey’s PR team spreading rumors and allegations… or further investigative digging by various outlets… talk has now turned to an incident that took place in Greece. According to TMZ, the couple was on a vacation last month when something happened. That’s just about all the website has claimed thus far. But this situation involved Carey’s assistant and was traumatic enough that Carey left Packer soon afterward and returned to Los Angeles. A source says the two have not even had any contact since this mysterious confrontation went down. In a follow-up to its initial report, TMZ writes that Packer turned “violent” during this incident, with insiders describing Packer in a variety of disturbing ways. He’s “not in his right mind,” the celebrity gossip site says. Carey simply “had to leave him” because he hasn’t been “present for her” in months and, overall, Packer is “mentally unstable.” Yikes. We cannot verify these claims, but a source tells E! News pretty much the exact same thing. “James is not in a mentally healthy place right now and he has not been present for her,” this insider claims, adding: “Unfortunately, his absence and behavior was not a good situation for her, so she had to leave him.” It’s worth noting that a rep for Packer dismisses these charges as being “simply untrue.” Packer himself has rarely spoken to the press. He’s a private individual who made his cast fortune in the casino business and allegedly wanted no part in Mariah’s upcoming reality show. We know that he gave Carey an engagement ring valued at around $10 million, but we don’t know a lot more about their romance. Both sides kept pretty quiet about things. His behavior was not a desirable situation for Mariah so she unfortunately had to leave him,” yet another source tells People Magazine. That’s three typically reliable outlets, all reporting the same general thing about Packer. Because he’s unaccustomed to dealing with the press and because Carey is a seasoned veteran in this area, it may very well be an organized smear campaign on her part. Or there may be truth to the assertions over Packer’s mental state. According to a source close to the billionaire businessman, it’s “typical Mariah to just twist things that don’t sound good to her. They split because she has issues. “James is definitely an oddball, but a brilliant great guy. To put her issues on James is ridiculous.” Fans will need to choose the side they believe, but one thing seems certain: As Taylor Swift might say, these two are never getting back together. There is much unrest at Kensington Palace as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge come to terms with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce. How it directly affects the lives of William and Catherine is anyone’s guess, but OK! Magazine is certain that they are j ust as cut up about the split as the rest of us. Perhaps even more so. It turns out that William and Catherine were “absolutely devastated” when they found out the news on September 20th. The couples go way back, having enjoyed tea together one time in June 2015. This makes them practically best friends. And like best friends, Bill and Cath “plan to send private messages of support to both Brad and Angelina when things settle down in the media,” according to a palace insider. When it comes to choosing sides, what will the Duke and Duchess do? Apparently William is on Team Angelina because of her humanitarian efforts, and told Catherine that he “thinks they should cut off ties with Brad.” Catherine, it’s alleged, took this to mean that William has the hots for Angelina, and is not amused. “Kate’s not so sure and is suspicious that William’s very obvious crush on Angelina is coming into play.” Her Royal Highness, though aware of the child abuse allegations, has a soft spot for Brad and therefore “can’t bring herself to believe Brad would ever hurt his kids intentionally.” Now who has the obvious crush, hmmmm? “She and Brad really connected over his love for his kids and she can’t fathom what’s being said to what she really knows,” said source added. OK! really wants to make this fab foursome happen. Back in May, the tabloid claimed that Catherine was working overtime to set up playdates for their kids, and girl time for her and Angelina. A source told OK ! that Catherine and Angelina would be on the “phone for hours and sent lots and lots of emails” discussing going to the ballet or even just down to the local pub. Now, such plans are nothing more than shattered dreams. Instead, Catherine will have to make do with whatever girl Prince Harry brings round. Ugh.

If you watch New Girl online you know that the show’s writers cooked up some far-fetched nonsense in order to replace Zooey Deschanel with Megan Fox while Zooey was on maternity leave. Sadly, it looks like the effort left them too exhausted to come up with any funny jokes or compelling storylines, but don’t worry – it seems there is something exciting happening on the show’s set: According to Star magazine, the newly-single Megan Fox has hit it off with former New Girl cast member Damon Wayans, Jr., who recently shot guest a spot on Brooklyn 99 on the same lot. “They had an immediate connection,” a source tells the tabloid. “He started bringing her breakfast in the morning, and they would hang out in her trailer. I think they really bonded over being single parents. It’s only a matter of time before they started hooking up…that is, if they haven’t already.” Fox, of course, got divorced from Brian Austin Green last year and has been proudly single ever since. Interestingly, Fox and Green met on the set of a sitcom back in 2004. Fox also reportedly hooked up with Shia LaBeouf on the set of Transformers in 2007, so she’s clearly not above mixing business with pleasure. Being a Duchess is for the birds, it appears. The latest made-up tale about Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge highlights her “exhausted” and “fatigued” look on February 17th, when she and the Duke attended a ceremony ending Royal Air Force search-and-rescue operations near their old home in Anglesey, Wales. “Duchess Kate had a very busy day and then had to travel to Wales immediately with no break whatsoever,” Celebrity Dirty Laundry wrote. The Duchess of Cambridge didn’t even put much effort into her outfit for the day,” the site (inaccurately) pointed out . “Princess Kate wore the red LK Bennett coat she has worn twice before.” Catherine has actually worn LK Bennett’s “Ami” coat three times in the past – the first to a November 2011 UNICEF engagement in 2011. Again a year later at a rugby game at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, and then to a Poppy Appeal event in November 2013. William and Catherine lived in a rented farmhouse in Anglesey while William worked as a search-and-rescue pilot at RAF Valley. When his time with the armed forces came to an end in September 2013, he and his family moved back to London. During the reception after ceremony yesterday, Catherine told a fellow couple how much living there meant to her. “It was such a special time for us,” Catherine said, according to the Daily Mail . “It was the start of our life together really.” That was the quote that set the tabloids ablaze with speculation that Catherine wanted William to “abandon” their royal obligations and raise their family in Wales. In other stupid royal news, OK! is trying to convince everyone that Catherine is deffo pregnant because two cycles before yesterday, Catherine wore the same LK Bennett when she was pregnant with George. Soz, Harry. It’s being speculated that Pippa Middleton has given her relationship with ex-boyfriend James Matthews another go. The two were briefly linked in 2012, after she split with former cricket player, Alex Loudon and before she began a three-year relationship with Nico Jackson. Matthews, CEO of Eden Rock Capital Management Group, attended William and Harry’s alma mater, Eton, and is the older brother of Made In Chelsea ‘s Spencer Matthews. Their parents own Eden Rock Hotel in St. Bart’s, where Pippa and her younger brother, James have vacationed twice in the past year. The Duchess of Cambridge’s siblings just returned from their most recent trip in time to join the royals for a January 10th church service at Sandringham. Back in October 2012, Matthews and Pippa were seen out a few times – once at the posh Queen’s Club tennis center, and then at Hakkasan, where an onlooker at the time told the Sun they were ” openly flirting ” in a booth. ‘They were deep in conversation ad only had eyes for each other,” the source told the paper. “Pippa was all smiles and kept giggling. They stayed for nearly three houses and didn’t seem to want the meal to end.” Fast-forward three years, and it may seem that they’re back on. According to The Duchess Diary , Pippa and James have been hanging out way too often to just be friends. Never mind the two tropical vacations. Pippa and James have competed in two races together in 2015, one of which was in support of the Michael Matthews Foundation, named after James’ older brother, Matthew who died in 1999 was descending from Mt. Everest. On December 23rd, 2015, James also met Pippa and her mother, Carole outside the annual Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Foundation Carole Concert, before driving off with both women. In late September 2015, Pippa and James walked his dog before disappearing into a home. Pippa emerged the next morning holding a bouquet of flowers, according to the Daily Mail . James followed her shortly after. Spencer has spoken briefly in the past about his older brother’s low-key romance. “What you read in the Daily Mail isn’t too far from the truth,” he revealed in a 2012 interview about Pippa and James. “I know they’ve always been very close friends – well, they’ve had a close friendship for awhile and it seems that there might be something more there, but I don’t know,” he added.
