Miley Cyrus Twerking, VMA Edition: Videos, Photos & GIFs Galore!

Miley Cyrus Twerking, already one of the web’s favorite pastimes, shocked and awed the world with last night’s raunchy display at the Barclays Center. Aggressively gyrating on Robin Thicke like a horny wild child possessed, the singer was the talk of a talked-about event … for better or worse. Miley pulled double duty at the event, performing a stuffed bear-themed version of “We Can’t Stop,” then joining Thicke for a rendition of his hit “Blurred Lines.” Only those lines weren’t blurred … they were crossed . Again and again and again. Miles danced like a hyper-sexual human condom, one whose purpose in life is to slap butts, hump anything in sight and elicit arousal and/or laughter. This was one for the ages, even by her standards. You can’t unsee this stuff. So follow the jump for the ultimate compilation of videos, GIFs and photos of Miley Cyrus Twerking at the Video Music Awards, like a woman possessed: Miley Cyrus Twerking at VMAs Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke – “Blurred Lines” The Urban Dictionary calls Twerking “a series of movements made by females of the humanoid variety as an expression of contempt for their fathers.” Sorry, Billy Ray Cyrus. Billy Ray Cyrus Supports Miley Miley Cyrus Team: Concerned Over VMA Performance We imagine Miles’ parents had a bit of a tough time stomaching this display last night, and struggled to know what to make of it like many others. Teresa Giudice: Focused on Setting "Good Example" For Daughters

Teresa Giudice may be going through some major financial and legal problems with husband Joe, but don’t expect her to stop working anytime soon. That wouldn’t be setting a good example for her kids, after all. Teresa Giudice Interview: “Setting Example” For Kids “I’m not going to stop working. Now I’m in it and I’m going to work until who knows when,” the reality star told Entertainment Tonight this week. “The good thing about working [is] it’s a good example to show to my daughters. Mommy’s a businesswoman, and hopefully they’ll follow in my footsteps.” Teresa Giudice , 41, and embattled husband Joe, 43, are parents to four young daughters: Gia, 13, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 7, and Audriana, 3. The Real Housewives of New Jersey firebrand says her cookbook signing was scheduled long in advance, and she didn’t feel a need to reschedule Wednesday. When she pleaded not guilty to federal fraud charges , that is. “It was so weird,” she said. “When I heard my court date was August 14, I was like gosh, I know I have something on August 14 … and it was my book signing.” “Of course I wasn’t going to cancel, there’s no need to cancel .” Hours earlier, Joe and Teresa pleaded not guilty to a 39-count indictment that includes everything from mail and wire fraud to bank and bankruptcy fraud. “They vehemently deny guilt,” Joe’s lawyer, Miles Feinstein, said. “There’s an assumption of innocence and they vehemently assert their innocence.” “We have told them to continue life as they’ve lived it,” the Newark Star-Ledger quotes him as saying. “They have a family, they have to support themselves.” “They shouldn’t imprison themselves at this time.” If found guilty of the charges, the couple could face more than 50 years in prison, and Joe could take the fall in some kind of plea deal, insiders say. Non-U.S. citizen Joe could also be deported, of course, but most likely nothing will happen until the duo returns to court for a pre-trial hearing October 3.

R.I.P. Legendary Jazz Keyboardist George Duke Passes Away

The music world has lost another great one. According to NPR reports : George Duke, the legendary jazz keyboardist, died on Monday, his publicist tells NPR. Duke’s career spanned five decades and he always straddled the line between disparate genres, collaborating with artists such as Miles Davis, Barry Manilow, Frank Zappa, George Clinton and some of Brazil’s top musicians. Here’s how NPR’s Felix Contreras describes him: “He was also a very successful record producer who worked with folks like Gladys Knight, The Pointer Sisters, Anita Baker, Rachelle Ferrell. “As an instrumentalist he started by working with Sonny Rollins and Dexter Gordon. But he made his mark in the jazz fusion vein, most notably with fellow fusion musicians Stanley Clarke and Billy Cobham. He had a series of respected fusion albums going back to the late 1970′s. “From the mid ’60s, he also worked as a member of Frank Zappa’s recording and touring band. Most recently he had been a big draw at jazz fests around the world that catered to the mix of R&B and jazz artists.” When Duke spoke to Weekend Edition in 2008, he told Scott Simon that he could not recall how many albums he’d put out. “I’m kinda like [John] McCain in that way: He doesn’t know how many houses he’s got; I don’t know how many albums I’ve got,” Duke joked. Duke was 67. His record label said he died after a battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia. A little more than a year ago, Duke’s wife died of cancer. Duke was devastated and could not make music for months. But, earlier this month, Duke released “DreamWeaver,” which the AP’s Charles J. Gans says tied up Duke’s eclectic career in a lush tribute to his wife. “Duke expresses his love for his late wife on the tender, piano-driven ballad ‘Missing You,’ a romantic vocal duet with Rachelle Ferrell,” Gans wrote. “The album ends by turning the cowboy ballad ‘Happy Trails’ — Dale Evans’ closing theme to ‘The Roy Rogers Show’ — into a soulful, heartfelt farewell to his wife, made even more poignant by the sudden death of guitarist Jef Lee Johnson shortly after he recorded the fadeout guitar solo.” In a promotional interview released by his record label, Concord, Duke sounded excited about his new record. “I don’t want people to get the idea that this is a morbid record, because it’s more about celebration,” Duke said. Sad news, especially for us music lovers… We hope he and his wife are making sweet music together in heaven though.

Britney Spears’ Church Outfit: Thigh-High Boots, Tight Mini-Dress!

Britney Spears certainly knows how to dress for the occasion. The 31-year-old pop star wore a very tight, very short gray and black dress to church Sunday, pairing the piece with a pair of over-the-knee black boots. Not sure about the rest of the congregation, but her boyfriend David Lucado , who accompanied the pop legend to the weekend service, had to like it … Britney Spears’ Sexy Church Outfit Some people will no doubt criticize Spears’ choice of outfit. Miley Cyrus , for her part, is not one of those people. Brit’s fellow Disney alum recently said the mother of two is “that one person in my life who gets it.” Miles has been faith-shamed herself in the past, so we believe it. What do you think of Brit’s ensemble? Tell us!

Miley Cyrus Calls Out Haters, Cory Monteith Mourners

Like many in Hollywood, Miley Cyrus is mourning Cory Monteith . But unlike those who have simply flocked to social media in response to the Glee star’s death, Miley has taken actual action… and she wonders why others haven’t done the same. Miley Cyrus Entertainment Tonight Interview “I know that Cory had a foundation that he was interested in doing, and they put that out and said, ‘you know, if you want to be part of that make sure you donate to that,'” Miley says in a new interview with ET Canada. “And people so quickly go trend things on Twitter, but they don’t actually go push the button that’s actually helping.” You tell em, Miles! Among other topics touched on in the Q&A: Her critics : “Haters keep me mad motivated. People that are, I guess, jealous, that kind of just hate on me, make me want to do even better.” Her… gender? “I feel like a straight dude. You don’t even know what I’m rocking under this skirt. I feel like a straight man. I’m not even a dude, I’m a man. That’s why my voice is like this [deep and raspy].” (Miley also recently addressed rumors that she’s a lesbian telling those folks that they aren’t exactly insulting her with such an allegation.) Her post-Hannah Montana career : “Once I left my show I didn’t want anyone around that was going to tell me the way that I was going to do things. I wanted to go make mistakes, go be who I was going to be.” Her career aspirations : “I want to win a Grammy!”

I’m Your Pushaaaa: Special Needs Man Travels 520 Miles By Wheelchair To Talk To President Obama About Legalizing Kush

Ridin’ out for rollin’ up? Now that’s dedication! Man Travels 520 Miles By Wheelchair To Lobby For Legalization Of Kush How far would you go to convince the leader of the free world that piff-puffin’ is a life necessity  and should be legal everywhere? Probably not as far as this man. via Huffington Post Confined to a motorized chair, Curtis Kile, who has Cerebral Palsy, thinks “mean green”should be legal for all. The 52-year-old pointed his wheels from Taylor, Mich. toward 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue on June 14, a 520-mile trek. He says he’s hoping to make his pitch in person to President Barack Obama at the White House on July 4. His 17-year-old son, Curtis Kile, Jr., is accompanying him for the 20-day trek in a Ford Econoline van. Kile Sr. is following the path led by his own father, Charles Curtis Kile, Jr., whom Kile said founded the United Marijuana Smokers of Michigan and once walked from Michigan to the White House in support of “mean-green” legalization. While Kile said his health and pace have been affected by the hot temperatures, he has vowed to press on. “I intend to get a national movement going so it (marijuana) can just be legalized,” he told The Compassion Chronicles. “We have to make it readily available to those who cannot afford it.“ Michigan voters approved medical “mean-green” use for some chronic medical conditions in 2008. But acceptance has been stymied on multiple fronts. Kile told the Detroit Free Press that lobbyists and rival industries, not common sense, have stymied access to marijuana for people who could benefit from it. This man damn near risked his life all for the love of that mean green. SMH. Continue reading
