Exciting news: Some Mila Kunis pictures that weren’t hacked! The gorgeous actress is joining the Christian Dior family in a new series of ads for the Miss Dior handbag, shot in New York by photographer Mikael Jansson. The Kunis ad campaign will debut internationally in Asian and European editions of Elle, Vogue and Madame Figaro on January 15, with U.S. versions to follow. Here are a couple of images from the campaign: “I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Dior,” Kunis said in a statement . “The brand is iconic in so many ways. It defines fashion, elegance and sophistication.” In signing with the French fashion house, Kunis joins Lady Dior handbags’ current face, Marion Cotillard, plus Black Swan costar Natalie Portman and others. Charlize Theron also models for Dior beauty and J’adore Dior fragrance, and Jude Law, Sophie Marceau and Sharon Stone have ties to the brand, as well. Sounds like talented, stylish company by any measure.
The Descendants, Bridesmaids, Midnight in Paris and other fan favorites lead the way in the just-released Writers Guild of America Awards, honoring the best of 2011. The biggest surprise may be the inclusion of the independent drama Win Win, while the big snubs appear to be War Horse , The Ides of March and The Artist. Young stars such as Selena Gomez , Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato and Justin Bieber rang in 2012 with terrific live performances last night. Countless others partied. Amber Portwood crashed on the floor of a jail cell. According to law enforcement sources, Indiana’s Madison County Jail did not do anything to mark NYE. Visiting hours were 7:00-7:30 p.m. Amber had none. At least she wasn’t alone. Due to overcrowding, Amber has been transferred out of the cell she shared with one other inmate and into a room with several others! Portwood’s prison pals’ convictions range from probation violations – which is what’s keeping Amber in jail for a month – to dealing a controlled substance. Nice. The accommodations were less than luxurious. As part of moving into that large room, instead of a bed, she slept on a vinyl mattress on the concrete floor. This is what happens when you’re arrested AND fail to comply with terms of your probation, kids … onerous tasks such as passing drug tests and obeying laws. The First Annual Tournament of THG has come to an end. We began with 16 top stars in mid-December, with the simple mission of determining our readers’ favorite celebrity on THG. Your votes narrowed it down to Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, who waged an epic championship round battle. The margin was RAZOR-THIN: Just 50.1 percent for the champion and 49.9 for the runner-up. Could Lovatics carry their girl to victory, or would the Smilers prevail? Who emerged victorious, after 36,787 votes ? But the singer has still found time to release a special lyrics-based video for her next single, “Give Your Heart a Break.” Consider it a pre-video for the official music video, which comes out next week. That didn’t take long. Britney Spears and Jason Trawick got engaged this month, for real, after over a year of rumors that they would do so. Everybody is really happy for them (maybe not Jason Alexander , but everyone else it feels like). That said, some celebrity gossip publications have already moved onto the next round of rumors: When will they have a baby together!? The two have not set a date yet that we know of, and don’t appear to be in a rush with things, which is probably smart. The same likely applies to having children. Britney already has two sons, Sean Preston (6) and Jayden James (5), with her former spouse K-Fed. That may be enough to handle for herself and Jason Trawick . One thing we hope is that with her tour finally over with, she takes the time to relax and enjoy her engagement. Family first – whether it’s a growing one or not. What do you think?
