Following lunch with her mom this week, Miley was asked by a reporter whether or not Lindsay Lohan should be angry as her for a Saturday Night Live skit . Harmless enough. But then a photographer bumped into Tish Cyrus and Miley WENT OFF on him: “What the… ? OK, are you serious? You just hit my mom with your camera… Don’t you ever do that again. You just almost hurt my mom. Don’t you ever even think about it. For real. That was crazy.” Miley Cyrus Takes on Paparazzi This isn’t the first time Cyrus has handled a reckless celebrity gossip journalist in an angry, yet calm and straightforward manner. She actually stepped out of her car and spoke down to one in October, as seen HERE . Take note, all paparazzo: this star’s family is off limits.
Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson shocked the masses when they split. Taking things a step further, the once-amicable divorce process is turning ugly. Pete does NOT want his soon-to-be-ex to have primary custody of son Bronx. He’s now taking her to court as a result. Wentz just filed legal papers in response to Ashlee’s divorce petition … asking the judge for JOINT custody. Ashlee had checked the box that indicated she wanted primary physical custody of Bronx Mowgli, 2, who was born shortly after the couple got married . Wentz also wants each party to pay their own legal fees, even though Ashlee had asked the court to make Pete foot the bill for both parties. Ashlee didn’t specify the official break-up date, but Pete says the two called it quits February 9, right after Pete’s wife-less Super Bowl Trip. Pete’s constant touring is believed to be the reason for the breakup.

But insiders tell Hollywood Life there’s another new role Miley has been perfecting: flirt. The singer has reportedly been sending text messages to Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill ever since the Europe Music Awards in November. “Miley wants to keep Jared interested,” a source says . “She often sends him coy text messages. So far, he is a big fan of what she has been sending.” This mole claims Followill, who hails from Cyrus’ hometown of Nashville, is 24 years old and was connected to Julianne Hough in 2009, thinks Miley is “very pretty.” Might we need to prepare ourselves for… Cyrowill ? OMG. “When they came back to the bleachers, Britney’s friend was there with a newborn baby and Britney couldn’t wait to hold him,” a source says . “She was cooing at the baby and Jason was patting the baby’s head. After the game ended, reports say Spears and Federline continued to avoid each other. Says a source: “He and Britney didn’t come near each other until the end of the game, and even then, they stayed separate and didn’t talk.” Hey, it could be a lot worse. Lindsay Lohan has become something of a joke of late. This is so obvious that you’d think the troubled star would know how to take one, but this is Lindsay Lohan we’re talking about. Logic does not apply. Whether she’s suing E*Trade or going off on Glee, LiLo and her camp indignantly bristle at any comedic moment at the walking punchline’s expense. Miley Cyrus Monologue After the above monologue, Lohan fired off an email to Saturday Night Live honcho Lorne Michaels, expressing her disappointment that he allowed it. Lindsay considered Lorne “a mentor and a father figure” and felt betrayed that he’d actually let Miley Cyrus take shots at her. Get a grip, you tool . Miles’ monologue jingle in question was harmless and self-deprecating: “I never stole a necklace or got a DUI .. never cheated on wife like that golfer guy,” she sang in her ode to Lohan, Tiger Woods and herself, “So what if you can see a little boob from the side … I’m sorry if I’m not perfect.” So chill out, Lindsay. There are plenty of side boob jokes to go around.
Anytime Saturday Night Live brings on a “young, hip” entertainer, they have a history of dumbing down their material for the mass audience — which is exactly what happened last night with host Miley Cyrus. It’s obvious that there’s a concerted effort to appeal to the 16-year-old out there who has never watched SNL before, but was watching last night because Cyrus was hosting — a Cyrus, I should add, who came off a bit smug at times (her monologue is a good example) and seemed to never really win over the studio audience.
