Miley Cyrus is trying to make the best of a bad situation. The singer remains stuck in the hospital due to an allergic reaction to sinus infection medication and has postponed her U.S. tour until August. But at least she hasn’t lost her sense of humor. Cyrus hopes to head to Europe next month as part of her Bangerz tour and then return to America on August 1 in Long Island. But a lot will depend on what her doctors have to say, much to the star’s frustration. “Sux seeing everyone havin fun in Nashville,” she Tweeted last night after canceling her show there Friday. “My home town & the place I was looking the most forward to. Miley Cyrus Cancels More Concert Dates Due to Illness

Miley Cyrus remains hospitalized following a highly-publicized allergic reaction and today saw more bad news for the singer, as she was forced to reschedule at least two more dates on her Bangerz concert tour. Concerts in Louisvile and Miley’s native Nashville have been postponed indefinitely. She reluctantly broke the news via Twitter this morning and made clear to fans that she is not pleased to be disappointing them. “Sick of waking up to needles #goingthruit,” Miley tweeted, adding the hashtag “#floydfriday” in tribute to her dog who was killed by a coyote  earlier this month. Miley provided no additional news regarding her illness or when she expects to be released from the hospital. Fans have expressed their concern following reports that Miley suffers from a heart defect that could prove life threatening. The singer angrily denied these reports in a tweet in which she instructed tabloids to “shut the f*ck up” and “stop scaring” her friends, family and fans. Miley has been hospitalized since Tuesday and her publicist reports that such allergic reactions can take up to four weeks to clear up. Earlier in the week, Miley tweeted that she expected to be back to full strength in time for the Nashville show. Dina Lohan Pleads Guilty to DWI, Speeding; Family Trifecta Complete!

Dina Lohan has even more in common with her troubled daughter Lindsay now, pleading guilty to DWI in a courtroom this morning on Long Island. The momager mess entered pleas of guilty to both aggravated DWI and speeding, and sources say Lohan must do 100 hours of community service. She is expected to have her driver’s license suspended as a result of the conviction and an interlock device will be installed in her vehicle ASAP. If she’s not clean, the car won’t start. Probably for the best. The Lohan matriarch must attend a mandatory drinking and driving program, a victim impact panel and also pay the necessary fines and fees. As previously reported, Dina Lohan was arrested in September and a test showed she had a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit in New York State. She, Lindsay and Michael Lohan now have spots in THG’s Celebrity Mug Shots Hall of Fame, which is an exclusive club if ever there were one. Okay, so maybe it’s girl-on-girl love of the platonic variety, but based on recent photos of the two, Miley Cyrus and Sky Ferreira are seriously crushin’ on each other. Miley hand-picked Sky to open for her current Bangerz tour and when Sky opened up about life with Miley in a recent interview with Buzzfeed, the world braced itself for tales of hard partying and raging egos. As it turns out, though, Sky has nothing but kind  – and kinda boring – things to say about her twerk-happy headliner. “We just clicked right away,” Sky says about Miley. “Our personalities get along really well. Miley is a girly girl, but she also isn’t. She likes putting on makeup, she likes sexy clothes and stuff, but she’s pretty down. The term is so stupid, but she’s down to earth.” Sky added that she and Miley both tend to get along better with members of the opposite sex: “I love girls and I wish I had more friends that were girls and I think that’s kind of a thing with [Miley] too.” As for Miley’s reputation for partying? Turns out America’s highest-paid female celebrity is more of a pothead homebody.  “Everyone thinks me and Miley are the ones raging, but it’s Icona Pop, man!” Sky said, referring to Miley’s other opening act. “Those girls like to party.” Frankly, we’re not surprised to hear that. Miley Cyrus Cancels Concert Half Hour Before Start Time

Miley Cyrus backed out of a concert at the very last moment last night. A rep for the artist confirms that Cyrus came down with a case of the flu and was forced to postpone a show in Charlotte as a result, just 30 minutes prior to when it was scheduled to begin. “Due to illness, Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” tour date scheduled for tonight, April 7, Time Warner Cable Arena Charlotte has been cancelled,” read a statement in response to the incident. “Cyrus has been diagnosed with flu and doctors have ordered her to rest. She will not be able to perform as scheduled. Refunds for Charlotte tickets will be available at the point of ticket purchase. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be automatically refunded.” According to the same statement, Miley will perform tonight in Raleigh. The singer has had a very tough week. Her dog, Floyd, was killed by a coyote and Cyrus has been openly been in “unbearable pain” over the tragedy. She actually sang to a statue of the dog in Brooklyn over the weekend and has wondered via Twitter whether she’ll ever be able to love again . Often crying in concert over the past few days, Cyrus has said the tears have negatively affected her voice. The Dixie Chicks "Wrecking Ball" Cover: AMAZING!

When Miley Cyrus isn’t busy smoking weed with Wiz Khalifa , she occasionally gets down to writing and recording music. And some of it is pretty good. The Dixie Chicks: Wrecking Ball Cover Take Miley’s hit “Wrecking Ball,” for example. The singer’s breakup ballad tore up the charts when it was released in August and now a country-fied cover version by the Dixie Chicks  is going viral and wowing YouTubers.  You may remember the Dixie Chicks, George W. Bush controversy from several years back, and while the band has been flying low on most folks’ radar since then, it seems they’re still drawing crowds and taking country music to interesting new places. Miley may be closer to the hip-hop world these days, but as the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, she’s no stranger to country. Maybe she’ll join the Chicks on stage at some and help them re-imagine “We Can’t Stop” or “Party In the USA.” Okay, probably not, but at least she know she’s got some fans amongst older musicians. Just a few months ago, Miley was best known for dropping jaws during the VMAs. Now, against all odds, she’s actually beginning to gain as much attention for her work as for tongue-wagging antics.

The Sociology Of Miley Cyrus: Actually Offered at Skidmore College!

Most students try to avoid summer school. But Skidmore College may see a rise in applications this year, thanks to a course offered by Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology Carolyn Chernoff. It’s titled “The Sociology Of Miley Cyrus.” As you can see in the syllabus above, the class will not teach Twerking or spitting on audience members . Instead, it will focus on the “rise of the Disney Princess,” while taking a look at other stars (such as Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera) and also teaching: Gender stratification and the hyper-commodification of childhood. Different kinds of transitions to adulthood. Allies and appropriation. Uses of culture across race, class, and gender. Bisexuality, queerness and the female body. Rutgers University, meanwhile, is bringing back a course titled “Politicizing Beyonce.” Where do you stand on college curriculum being based on the lives of celebrities? The Social Science of Being Awesome Students will review all Jennifer Lawrence falls and quotes to understand how this celebrity pulls it off. 9. Damaged Psychology 201 Inside the mind of Lindsay Lohan, with Charlie Sheen booked as a guest lecturer.

Nothing like Miley Cyrus and a groupie hanging out…both crying for attention louder than the other, maximizing the photo opportunity as hard as they can so everyone knows how relevant they both are…one by latching onto Miley at the peak of her fame and Miley latching onto a groupie to do something lesbian and different so people like me package it as something hot…even though it’s more in line with when two fat girls who know they are fat tongue kiss in a club to steal attention from the pretty girls who don’t need stunts to get respect and adoration…just a couple of insecure broken girls trying to make the most of the time they have…and I am not alone in saying it would be better with more pussy eating and/or fisting.
