Looks like Onika Maraj is on her diva-steez right now: Nicki Minaj tossed fellow celebs like her signature pink locks Thursday night at her Casio-sponsored concert at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square. “She didn’t want anyone in her space,” a VIP witness told us. “She had all of the hallways cleared before she entered them, all of the rooms and all of the elevators.” Organizers held boldface guests including Estelle, Kelly Bensimon, Jessica White, Brittany Underwood and Fabolous from the entrance in the VIP area until she left. By Alvin Blanco The Diplomats’ Jim Jones, Cam’ron and Juelz Santana Photo: Johnny Nunez/ WireImage Fans of the Diplomats (Cam’ron, Jim Jones , Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey) are going to have to wait until the summer to hear new music from the Harlem rap conglomerate. Jones has revealed that the Dipset will be releasing a new EP in July. “The difference is the respect level that’s there amongst all of us feels good, it feels hellified,” Jones — whose latest album, Capo, was released Tuesday — told Vibe.com . “We plan on putting out an EP on July 4th called Independence Day, so look forward to that.” Although various Dipset members have mentioned that the group is in the midst of securing a recording contract with Interscope Records, no deal has been confirmed yet. Jones’ previous album, Pray IV Reign, was released via Sony/Columbia Records in 2009. In an interview with Miss Info of Hot 97, the Harlem rapper speculated that Columbia released him from his contract — despite, Jones said, his owing the label $8 million — because of Jay-Z. A then-impending deal with Jay’s Roc Nation label ( Jay bought out his Def Jam contract in 2009) apparently hastened Jones’ exit. “They did a big deal over there … it was called Roc Nation,” Jones told Miss Info. “So they gave me one piece of paper that said I don’t owe them nothing, keep it stepping.” Though Jones never said Jay-Z’s name specifically, the implication is that rather than have Capo and Hova, whose relationship can be described as icy at best, have dealings with the same label, Columbia allowed Jones to walk away despite not recouping the money invested in his music. We caught up with the Young Money princess before she performed at Casio’s TRYX OUT: NYC 2011 Launch Party at the Best Buy Theater on Thursday night. “I am in talks of joining Britney Spears, yeah,” Minaj said in the British accent of her Martha alter-ego . “I’m in talks about a lot of things, ya know. I don’t know — oops, I did it again.” Rumors of the possibility of Minaj becoming the opening act on the singer’s tour promoting Femme Fatale began circulating shortly after Enrique Iglesias dropped out of the lineup . Nicki is currently on the Lil Wayne-headlined I Am Still Music Tour , but that concludes May 1 in East Rutherford, New Jersey, while the Spears tour is scheduled to kick off June 17 in Sacramento, California. The hectic travel schedule — Nicki is set to fly out right after the Best Buy Theater performance to rejoin the I Am Still Music Tour on Friday (April 8) in Greensboro, North Carolina — is the Queens MC’s only qualm about hitting the road. “I’m getting sick every other day,” she said. “That’s the one downside. I keep my dressing room warm, and then of course when we go out to the stage area, it’s freezing cold, and then when we do the afterparty, it’s cold. And then flying and stuff like that. That’s the only downside about touring. It’s just to keep your physical health in order. I was just recuperating from being sick last night and then we flew out here; the plane was freezing, and I think I got sick again.
