It turns out that the process of painting a bikini onto Kate Upton isn’t quite as sexy as we imagined here at Skin Central (unless you have a thing for surgical masks, in which case it will BLOW YOUR MIND). Some behind-the-scenes pics of Kate getting the body painting treatment have been released, providing a fascinating perspective on all the hard work (and spraypaint) that goes into the perennial spank mag favorite. The title of the MC’s fifth solo album, Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang, represents the New York City borough he hails from, Staten Island — whose street name in rap circles is Shaolin — and, of course, the MC has been a key member of the iconic Wu-Tang Clan since its founding in the early ’90s. Ultimately, though, Rae’s album, which dropped on Tuesday (March 8), is inspired (like many things Wu-Tang) by the classic 1981 Gordon Liu film of the same name, about a rivalry between two schools of ancient martial arts. “[The film is about] basically two schools fighting with one another,” Raekwon told MTV News recently about the movie’s plot. “But they all come from the same school, and it was an outsider who actually tried to get the Shaolin style and the Wu-Tang style and have them go at one another. On this album, it’s the same thing: It’s two schools and, you know, I’m part of that school. I’m Shaolin but at the same time, I’m Wu-Tang. So really, it’s ego versus discipline, dealing in my mind and everything that I been through, and dealing with the crew.” It’s no coincidence that the concept behind Raekwon’s album focuses on two forces in opposition. Rae began working on Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang back in late 2007, after expressing disappointment with the creative direction Wu-Tang’s nominal leader, the RZA, had taken with the group’s ’07 LP, 8 Diagrams. By Alvin Blanco Lil Wayne in the “6 Foot 7 Foot” video Photo: Young Money While Lil Wayne’s highly anticipated video for his single “6 Foot 7 Foot” makes its on-air premiere on MTV Thursday night (March 3) at 7:54 p.m. ET, fans got a surprise early look at the video when it made its online debut on MTV.com in the morning. The colorful video features cameos from members of the Young Money roster, including Lil Twist and Jae Millz as well as Bronx-bred rapper Cory Gunz, who handles the song’s third verse. The inclusion of Gunz, who signed to Young Money last year, was a strategic move by Weezy to give the young MC a high-profile introduction similar to those given to past signees like Nicki Minaj and Drake . The clip takes cues from the Oscar-winning Christopher Nolan film “Inception” , incorporating similar slow-motion, dreamlike sequences. The song’s plethora of punch lines also serve as inspiration in the video. For example, Weezy is seen reaching for what looks like a flying brain (“I lost my mind. It’s somewhere out there stranded”), literally whispering into his own ear (“Talking to myself ’cause I am my own consultant”) and standing at a podium (“I speak the truth but I guess that’s a foreign language to y’all”). “6 Foot 7 Foot,” produced by Bangladesh, is the lead single off the New Orleans MC’s forthcoming album Tha Carter IV, due in stores later this year. Who knows if it will persuade the D.A., but a surveillance video at least partially backs up Lindsay Lohan’s account of her infamous, alleged jewel thievery. The accused felon was in no hurry to bolt Kamofie & Company the day she allegedly ganked the thing, blabbing with the owner for a bit before peacing out. According to sources who have watched the tape, Lohan wore the $2,500 necklace she’s accused of stealing almost the entire time she was in the store. What goes on in the mind of Lindsay Lohan? [Photo: Pacific Coast News] Video clearly shows Lindsay trying on the necklace, checking herself out in the mirror, and appearing to ask her friend and the owner for their opinion. There is no audio on the tape. Reports say Lindsay took off her own necklace to try on the store’s necklace, which she never took off in 45 minutes. According to sources, before walking out of the store, Lindsay put her own necklace back on, but not in a way that obstructed the store’s necklace. Even better for the train wreck, with the store’s necklace still in plain view, Lindsay is seen talking to the owner for a couple of minutes before leaving. Doesn’t sound like the actions of someone that tried to steal a necklace, right? Or is she just that calculating to make it look like a misunderstanding? In rejecting a plea bargain last week, Lindsay indicated confidence that she will be vindicated by the legal system. Perhaps this is a big reason why. Of course, a probation violation could land her in jail regardless. This is what happens when you’re a total mess and constantly run afoul of the law.
