Amanda Bynes Placed on 5150 Psychiatric Hold

Amanda Bynes is currently under doctor supervision. The very troubled young star – who accused her father of sexual abuse this week – landed today in Los Angeles and was immediately taken by a car service to a hospital on Pasadena. Her attorney, Tamar Arminak, was waiting there for Bynes with a physician. 45 Seriously OMG WTF Amanda Bynes Photos 1. Amanda Bynes is Dope Amanda Bynes thinks she is dope. The actress has posted this photo to Twitter. She is now being held on a 5150 psychiatric hold for 72 hours and sources confirm her parents are seeking a 14-day extension, during which time they will apply again for conservatorship. Section 5150 is a section of the California Welfare and Institutions Code. It allows a qualified officer/clinician to confine a person believed to possess a mental disorder that makes him/her a danger to himself or herself, a danger to others and/or gravely disabled. Past stars to have been placed in similar situations include Britney Spears, Mischa Barton and Lindsay Lohan. A few hours after accusing her father of sexual assault, Bynes took to Twitter this afternoon and retracted the statement. “My dad never did those things,” Bynes wrote on Twitter . “The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he’s the one that ordered them to microchip me.” This isn’t the first time Bynes has referred to a microchip. She told Life & Style just last week that people are ” reading my mind .” The actress was also hospitalized on a psychiatric hold in 2013. This stint was followed by an extended stay in rehab, during which time her mother became her conservator. She was then released into her parents’ full-time care in December and appeared to be on a path to recovery. However, Bynes was recently kicked out of her school and then she became estranged again from her mom and dad. Last month, she was arrested for DUI. Amanda Bynes is clearly in need of major help. Dina Lohan Pleads Guilty to DWI, Speeding; Family Trifecta Complete!

Dina Lohan has even more in common with her troubled daughter Lindsay now, pleading guilty to DWI in a courtroom this morning on Long Island. The momager mess entered pleas of guilty to both aggravated DWI and speeding, and sources say Lohan must do 100 hours of community service. She is expected to have her driver’s license suspended as a result of the conviction and an interlock device will be installed in her vehicle ASAP. If she’s not clean, the car won’t start. Probably for the best. The Lohan matriarch must attend a mandatory drinking and driving program, a victim impact panel and also pay the necessary fines and fees. As previously reported, Dina Lohan was arrested in September and a test showed she had a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit in New York State. Bree Walker, Former Los Angeles News Anchor, Arrested for DUI

Bree Walker finds herself making news instead of breaking it. The former KCBS news anchor in Los Angeles was arrested early Wednesday morning on suspicion of drunk driving, according to the Anaheim police. She was pulled just past midnight after making an illegal left turn.  Sgt. Tim Schmidt says officers on the scene smelled alcohol on Walker’s breath and that the “disheveled” 61-year old’s eyes were “blood-shot and watery.” Walker was arrested after failing a field sobriety test and taken to the Anaheim police station where she submitted to a blood test and was released four hours later. Kate Upton is the object of many eligible bachelors’ affection, so it’s no surprise that someone decided to go all out and ask for her hand in marriage. It wasn’t Justin Verlander, though her boyfriend was present for this. Stuff, the mascot for the NBA’s Orlando Magic, was the one who did the honors! The 21-year-old bombshell and the 30-year-old handsome athlete attended the Magic’s game against Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday in Orlando. As soon as the Tigers pitcher stepped away from their courtside seats, the neon green dragon made his move. With some serious bling, no less! “Thanks @STUFF_ mascot for the proposal tonight! Great game!,” an enthusiastic Upton tweeted after the game, along with a fun-loving pic of her ring. Chris Kattan Arrested for DUI

Chris Kattan now has something in common with Justin Bieber . Aside from each being unfunny on Saturday Night Live. The actor was arrested this morning on suspicion of DUI after his car hit another vehicle around 1 a.m. on the 101 in San Fernando Valley. According to TMZ insiders, another driver called the California Highway Patrol to report a motorist was “weaving all over the roadway at slow speeds” before Kattan reportedly swerved into a closed-off area and stuck a Department of Transportation vehicle from behind. Fortunately, there was no one inside and Kattan did not suffer any injuries. Police confirm that Kattan appeared very out of it at the scene and was booked on charges of driving while impaired, with an emphasis on prescription pills, not alcohol. Police Officer Investigated For Trying to Snap Justin Bieber Jailhouse Pic

A South Florida officer is under investigation after attempting to take a photo of Justin Bieber while the star was in custody on DUI and other charges. Miami Beach police Sgt. Bobby Hernandez confirmed Friday that a female officer is being investigated for possible conduct unbecoming an officer. Punishments can range from a verbal reprimand to termination. The name of the officer trying to sneak a Justin Bieber photo has not been revealed. Bieber was arrested January 23 during what cops describe as an illegal street drag race, though whether he was actually drug racing is debatable. In addition to driving under the influence, the troubled 19-year-old pop singer was charged with resisting arrest and having an invalid driver’s license. Bieber, who was in a car with Chantel Jeffries , pleaded not guilty to all charges. Police say the officer attempted to photograph him while he was in a temporary holding cell, and a higher-ranking officer intervened to stop the attempt. Why did you stop me?” Bieber told the police officer who stood alongside the singer’s fancy car around 4 a.m., according to legal documents. At a subsequent press conference, officials said the star “made statements he had consumed some alcohol, been smoking marijuana and consumed some prescription medication.” Justin was also booked on a count of resisting arrest (non-violently) because he would not comply with an order to put his hands on his car.
