Vocal producer Kuk Harrell tells MTV News he’ll team with Tricky Stewart and The-Dream for the project. Since releasing her debut album, On the 6, in 1999, J.Lo has commanded pop radio with tracks like “If You Had My Love,” “I’m Real,” “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” and “Jenny From the Block.” And she hasn’t stopped. This year, she released Love?, featuring club bangers like “On the Floor.” Now, J.Lo plans to give her fans a proper greatest-hits album. “I just got the call a week ago that the greatest-hits album for Jennifer Lopez is coming up,” vocal producer Kuk Harrell told MTV News. “Now I’m just waiting for them to put on the schedule [and] let me know what songs we’re actually cutting and stuff like that.” While he didn’t have too many details about what fans should expect on the album, Harrell did share who else Jenny is hitting the studio with. “I think [when] I find out what the direction is, I will definitely go in the lab. I will get in the lab with Tricky Stewart and The-Dream and see what we can come up with for it.” Harrell has certainly been busy this year. He worked with Rihanna on her Talk That Talk album , Justin Bieber on Under the Mistletoe (and will work with him again on his next album) and now has plans to hook up with Lopez. He’s grateful for all the opportunities he’s been given. “I’m so fortunate to be able to work with Rihanna and Justin Bieber … and Jennifer Lopez for that matter, so anytime a call comes in to work with the three of them, it’s always ‘yes,’ because it’s just assumed [it’ll be good],” he said. “They’re superstars, so how are you going to turn them down? Unless we have a scheduling conflict, but it’s always a ‘yes.’ It’s always an immediate ‘we’re gonna kill it.’ That’s when my competitive edge comes out. It has to be the best. Black-and-white video showcases Bieber’s heartfelt singing with his idols. On Wednesday (November 23), Justin Bieber dropped the video for “Fa La La” with Boyz II Men . There are no reindeer or presents under the tree; instead, Justin and the Philadelphia R&B outfit sing of a warm love that will endure through the holiday season. The black-and-white clip begins in an empty loft, where Bieber sings alone, with his arms flailing and face slightly scrunching every time he hits those heartfelt notes. Justin’s solo intro leads way to a collaborative bridge, where Boyz II Men join in. “Baby you de-serve eve-ry-thing you want/ It’s your night,” they all sing in harmony as the “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye” vocalists join the teenage star in song on the front porch of a brick house. No elaborate set needed. With an empty city as their backdrop, the four crooners throw down in an old-fashioned sing-off. As the track builds, BIIM’s Wanya Morris really gets into it, pounding his chest and kicking one leg up to accentuate his performance. Bieber, who is dressed in a white tee and slim-cut leather jacket, tugs on his collar to let you just how much his words mean to him. On November 1, Bieber teased the clip when he tweeted, “Killed it with @BoyzIImen on DWTS and then just shot a video for our song #FALALA with @colintilley – great night! living a dream. Thanku,” in reference to his appearance on “Dancing With The Stars” and the Colin Tilley-directed “Fa La La” video. Maybe some of Boyz II Men’s subject matter was a bit mature for the pint-size Bieber, but they influenced him nonetheless. “He told us his mom didn’t want him to sing ‘I’ll Make Love to You,’ so he’d sneak and go sing it somewhere,” Wanya Morris told MTV News. “It’s also good to know we’ve influenced such a good artist. It’s something that makes us feel we’ve accomplished [something and] we’re doing our job, [that] a guy so young and so into his craft [is] influenced by three guys from Philadelphia that love to sing.” Yes, “Fa La La” is the latest single from JB’s holiday LP, Under the Mistletoe, but Tilley and company didn’t overload the video with Christmas themes as to so implicitly tie it to December 25 — after all, true love should last all year ’round. Since Bieber burst on the scene with his My World EP back in 2009, the 17-year-old has grown up with the world watching. He’s gone from up-and-comer to full-fledged pop sensation, racking up chart-topping albums and a box-office hit and becoming an all-around mega-heartthrob — all in two years. Of course, with the good does come negative attention as well. Recently, Bieber was hit with a paternity lawsuit, which has since been dropped . Usher, no stranger to his own controversies, had these words for the Biebs: “Stay strong. And know that all of this comes with the territory.” Aside from the drama, Usher is especially proud of Bieber’s charitable side. His mentor said he “absolutely” knew the kid from Stratford, Ontario, had a big heart from the start. “To write a check is only half of it, but when you truly take on a responsibility to be a philanthropist, you accept an effort, and I really think that Pencils of Promise is something that has a very bright future,” Usher told MTV News at an event for the charity , noting that Bieber is a only a small part of it. Usher — who appears on Bieber’s new Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe — gives credit to the folks surrounding the teen superstar, including manager Scooter Braun. “Just judging from the determination and the will power of the entire team around Justin, I see a very, very promising [future] for him as a philanthropist,” Usher said. My name is Michka and 7th of November was the best day of my whole ENTIRE life. In October, I heard about this competition. You had to invite 9 people to celebrate Justin’s new album Under the Mistletoe and have a party . Of course this sounded amazing because they send you free party packs with Justin masks, Justin balloons, posters etc. You had to take photos and upload onto their Facebook page and the person with the most “likes” on the photo gets to meet Justin in London in November. However this was unreal I was so excited. We uploaded the picture and I got hacked 3 times and the person deleted the photo! It was awful, but we managed to get my friend to upload it and we believed in ourselves and told each other not to give up. There was like over 800 people who had entered this so we thought we had no chance but I just kept saying to myself Never Say Never. Everyone was helping us so much, sharing it, telling their friends, and honestly I can’t thank them enough. We had from Sunday to Friday to get the most ‘likes’ on the photo. Finally we went up to 1st place, my heart was pounding, I was so scared. I wanted this so bad and I wanted it for all my friends too. Friday night came, we was losing & we went to 2nd place. T hen it was the end of the competition WE WON!! WE DID IT! I couldn’t stop crying. In 3 days I was meeting my hero JUSTIN BIEBER. Then the next day I got a phone call saying I could only bring 4 friends instead of 9 because I forgot to tag Justin in the photo. The 2nd runners up had to have the other 4 tickets so it was fair. The worst decision I have ever had to make was telling 5 friends they couldn’t meet their hero anymore. We had to pick from a hat. They were upset but told me to have amazing time and not to worry it. On 7th November the best day is about to begin, we got into London which we traveled from Liverpool. W e got by the stage in the VIP section, front row at the side of the stage. Justin looked hot, his performance was outstanding and he was literally so close. I was amazed seeing him perform never mind meeting him. He switched the Christmas lights on, it looked beautiful. The show was over and it was my time and my friends time to meet him. We had to go in with 5 people which was me and my 4 friends. We got called to go in, my legs were like jelly, my whole body felt like it was going to fall to the floor, we went around the corner, there he was standing there smiling beautifully, his eyes looking into mine I walked over and he was looking at everyone of us. He was like, “Hey guys” Oh my god, my stomach dropped to the floor. I was thinking to myself.. am I alive right now? Is this some sort of dream? I bent down and he started laughing. It was adorable. He was like, “Move aside, move aside, you cant stand in front of me”. He had his hand on my back, I said to him looking him in the eye, while he smiled at me, “Oh sorry” He smiled I went to the end and he pulls all of us in, felt like as if we were a family. It was the best feeling in the world and then he said, “Okay everyone smile” and then we all smiled at the camera. I remember looking at the side of him and seeing him smile. The butterflies in my tummy were going mad. After that, I went in front of him, looked in his eyes and he said without me saying anything, “I love you”. I like died inside, my legs were shaking my hands went all hot and my face went all flushed. I smiled and looked at him and said “Thank you, I love you too”. Then he said to everyone, “Thank you guys so much, I love you” I didn’t want it to end. He is honestly beautiful, he has unreal brown eyes looking into yours and his lips are gorgeous, his hair is just in place, his skin is flawless, and most of all his personality and voice is stunning. He has such a warm heart. I can’t thank him enough for spending his time with me, and you can see the way he talks to you, like he can’t thank you enough for supporting him. You can see he’s a normal 17 year old boy and that he cares so much for your support, he’s such a sweet person, and I suggest you to believe in Never Say Never, because “YOU” will meet him one day.
