Dear Bossip , I am in a 9 month relationship with a separated man. They have been separated over 2 years. His wife is dating his best friend. My man has become more distant in the past couple of weeks saying he is busy and tired. I told him a couple weeks ago that I didn’t know if it was going to work because he is still married and I don’t feel like we can go anywhere because of the marriage. He said he loved me and I mean the world to him, and I’m his glue. He said that he did need to move on with his life and that he did need to -ish or get off the pot. I love him, but ever since I said I didn’t know if it was going to work because he’s still married it’s like he has distanced himself from me. I used to hear from him a couple times a day at least, but now I will wait a day and then call him because he isn’t initiating contact. He still says he loves me and misses me when we talk. What is going on? – Waiting On Him Dear Ms. Waiting On Him , You are not in a relationship. He is still married. Despite being separated from his wife for 2 years, he is still a married man. Therefore, you don’t have a relationship. You are sleeping with a married man. He is grieving the fact that his wife is dating his best friend. Trust me, he is not well emotionally or mentally. He is just going through the motions in his life. He discovers that his wife is dating his best friend, and you think he’s ready to be move on and be in another relationship? Sorry, but he’s not. I’m sure, no, I’m positive that he is hurting. His is sad, angry, mad, and depressed. Two people he trusted and loved are in a relationship with each other. He is living with the thought and idea on a day-to-day basis that his wife and best friend are laid up, living life, and planning a life without him. He is not okay. And, you’re absolutely right that it is not going to work between you and he because he is still married, probably still in love with his wife, and as a result you and he are not going to move forward or have anything serious. The fact that they have been separated for 2 years tells me that he is holding out and waiting for her to return. Don’t you find it odd that in 2 years he has not divorced his wife? His wife is sleeping with his best friend, and he hasn’t divorced her. Hmmm, wake up ma’am. Stop waiting on him, chasing after him, and stop forcing him to be with you. He does not want you. You are something to do in the meantime. You are someone to pass the time with. His body needs physical attention, but his mind and his emotions are with someone else – his wife. You feel he’s distancing himself from you and not reaching out or maintaining contact. Well, trust your intuition. If he is pulling away after you gave him an ultimatum it’s because he is pulling away. You were his glue because he probably had no one else he could talk with about his wife and his best friend. You were a shoulder to lean on, and someone to lay in bed with and vent. You were not someone he was serious about, but someone who happened to give him an ear when he needed someone to listen to him. I mean come on, honey, the man told you that he knows he should move on, but, hell, it’s been 2 years! He’s still harping about his wife and best friend after 2 years? He’s not ready to be with someone else. He’s still in love with his wife. He’s still waiting on her to return. You are only a distraction for a few minutes, hours, or days. But, he goes home and is reminded of his wife each time he is alone. He is reminded of his best friend when he wants to pick up the phone and go chill, watch the game, or simply to hang out. He is grieving. You need to move on. Find a man who is single, and one who is not pinning or still in love with an ex. This man is not for you. Wish him well and let him go. Move over, Taylor Swift . Madonna appears to be taking aim at your star-studded Bad Blood music video . The Material Girl teased what appears to be an epic collaboration on Instagram this morning, sharing a poster for her “Bitch I’m Madonna” music video. And it looks like the footage will feature Nicki Minaj… and Beyonce… and Katy Perry… and Rita Ora… and Miley Cyrus ! “Video coming soon!” wrote the iconic singer as a caption. “Just tryin to make it perfect for all of you. we are hard werking bitches! #bitchimmadonna.” Madonna is expected to premiere the video on Jay Z’s Tidal streaming service, of which she is a part-owner. It’s unclear right now just when it will debut, however. “Bitch I’m Madonna” is the latest track off of the musician’s 2015 album “Rebel Heart,” which marks Madonna’s 13th studio album. John Stamos has been arrested for DUI. The former Full House star was booked in Beverly Hills on Friday following an incident around 7:45 p.m. The Beverly Hills Police Department pulled over the 51-year-old’s vehicle after receiving numerous calls about an individual driving erratically. Stamos, believed to be under the influence, needed medical attention due to a possible medical condition and he was taken to a local hospital. He was cited for DUI and released to the care of the hospital. In 2007, the actor made an appearance on an Australian TV talk show, slurring his words, making lewd gestures and wandering around in a daze. He later admitted that he was indeed drunk on Australian TV . Stamos is starring in the upcoming Fox sitcom Grandfathered and producing a Full House spinoff , Fuller House , to premiere on Netflix next year. The Olsen Twins won’t be involved, but Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin are believed to be in, and Candace Cameron Bure will be the focal point. Here’s hoping Uncle Jesse isn’t boozing too hard. Marriage Boot Camp Season 3 Episode 3 was crunch time for Kendra and Hank. Could they pull a rabbit out of their hat – Baskett if you will – or is it over?! The latest installment of this totally not at all scripted reality series found a shocking audio tape absolutely blowing Kendra and Hank’s world apart. It had to do, of course, with Baskett’s alleged transgender affair last year. When you watch Marriage Boot Camp online , you will be in for a rough f–king ride, but not nearly as much as Hank was when Kendra went off. Seriously. When a new report hit the web about his transgressions? Ugly. Everyone was just doing their thing when Kendra gets a call about a tabloid story saying there’s audio of Hank talking to Ava London last year. We thought they made peace and had moved past the scandal, but you can’t just brush stuff like this aside. Not when WE tv needs ratings. No. Ava, of course, is the transgender model Hank allegedly engaged in some hand relief with, then tried to pay off to shut her yap (in vain, clearly). Kendra Wilkinson to Hank Baskett: EFF YOU!!! K-Dubs has three people on the phone telling her it looks really bad. Hank says that he is fighting this legally, whatever the hell that means. His wife screams f-bombs and angrily calls him a sick, twisted a-hole. The rest of the gang listens to the tape and it doesn’t look good for Hank. His co-stars feel it’s a blatant indicator that something happened. Is it his voice on the tape? Is he trying to buy Ava off and tacitly admitting he fooled around with a woman with a penis as widely assumed? Unclear, but after a great deal of back and forth, Kendra says Hank needs to pay for this, but wants to hear what he has to say for himself. Will she leave him? Is there any way this can make them stronger? Jim says they need to let the world know what happened to diffuse this once and for all; Hank comes downstairs looking very hurt and scared. Wait … did Kaitlyn Bristowe just reveal the mother of all Bachelorette spoilers – and the fairy tale ending to her “journey” on ABC – via Snapchat? The brunette posted a montage of pics (her “story”) Friday, depicting herself in bed with one of the many men trying to take her there on Season 11. Based on this image, is there any reason not to assume Shawn Booth will be the eventual Bachelorette champion when the season comes to a close? Fans who watch The Bachelorette know Booth, a 28-year-old personal trainer, has been one of Bristowe’s consistent favorites from the start. He was the man most upset recently when Bristowe allowed Andi Dorfman-reject Nick Viall’s return to the show on this week’s installment. Neither Bristowe nor ABC have commented on this most unexpected post and photos were quickly removed from Bristowe’s Snapchat. But not before they were viewed by endless viewers, most of whom reacted in one of the following ways. Man that sucks. Why even watch The Bachelorette online now!? Oh well. Move over, Emma Stone . You have some serious lip-syncing competition. Lena Dunham shrugged aside all Sarah Palin criticism last night and appeared opposite Jimmy Fallon for an intense Lip Sync Battle, taking on what many would consider an appropriate song for the Girls star: “Fat Bottomed Girls” by Queen. Dunham also came out in an athletic Nike outfit because “I wanted to take this seriously and I needed room to flex.” Fallon, meanwhile, did his fun thing to a little DMC and some Charlene. I’m not really sure what Emma Roberts is up to these days, besides avoiding the sun this summer, but everybody’s favorite pasty hottie went see-through out in LA the other night, and that’s always newsworthy as far as I’m concerned. Unfortunately though, she didn’t conveniently “forget” to wear a bra underneath, which would’ve made this an even bigger story. Clearly, Emma needs a new management team. And I’d be more than happy to volunteer. I’ve got a bunch of great ideas — granted, most of them involve sex tapes and bikini yoga, but hey, you go with what works, right? Call me! “Orange Is The New Black” Posts To Netflix Early Are you ready to head back to Litchfield? Netflix dropped the third season of the hit original series “Orange Is The New Black” six hours early — and needless to say fans (who aren’t otherwise engaged with the NBA finals ) are already getting their binges started. Via Variety : The inmates at Litchfield are getting an early release — well, at least season 3 of “Orange is the New Black” is. The third season of the dramedy, originally meant to hit Netflix at midnight on Friday, has been released a few hours earlier, debuting a little after 6 p.m. PST on Thursday. The streaming service confirmed the release on Twitter. The surprise was announced in the midst of OrangeCon, the invitation-only fan event held in New York that includes cast members Aduba, Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon, Laverne Cox, Natasha Lyonne, Lea Delaria and more. During a cast panel at the event, Aduba asked Netflix topper Reed Hastings, who was tuning in via video call, to let fans see get an early peek at season 3. Hastings smiled and then took her request to the next level, announcing the six-hour early debut. Jenji Kohan is series creator and showrunner of “Orange Is the New Black,” based on the memoir of the same name by Piper Kerman. The show has already been renewed for season four, and starts shooting on Monday. Well, we know how some of y’all will be spending this weekend…
Ornette Coleman Dead At 85 Another legendary musician was lost today. Jazz composer and saxophonist Ornette Coleman has passed away at age 85. Via NYTimes : Ornette Coleman, the alto saxophonist and composer who was one of the most powerful and contentious innovators in the history of jazz, died on Thursday in Manhattan. He was 85. The cause was cardiac arrest, a family representative said. Mr. Coleman widened the options in jazz and helped change its course. Partly through his example in the late 1950s and early ’60s, jazz became less beholden to the rules of harmony and rhythm while gaining more distance from the American songbook repertoire. His own music, then and later, embodied a new type of folk song: providing deceptively simple melodies for small groups with an intuitive, collective musical language and a strategy for playing without preconceived chord sequences. In 2007, he won the Pulitzer Prize for his album “Sound Grammar.” So sad. May he rest in peace.
