Dennis Green, the NFL coach who famously led the Minnesota Vikings to a 15-1 season and two NFC Championship games, has passed away. Green was 67 years old. His passing was confirmed in a statement issued by Green’s family this morning: “Dennis passed away last night from complications of cardiac arrest,” the statement read. “His family was by his side and he fought hard.” Green served as head coach of the Vikings and Arizona Cardinals for a total of 13 seasons. Though his career ended with a disappointing tenure in Arizona, which saw the team suffer three straight losing seasons, Green remained a beloved figure amongst both players and fans. As well known for his soft-spoken demeanor as for his strategic brilliance, Green is remembered by many for his famous “they are who we thought they were” press conference, in which he shed his calm facade and revealed the passion that his players had known for years. Social media tributes to Green from fans and former colleagues began pouring in the moment that news of his passing was made public. “Very sad to hear about the loss of fmr @AZCardinals coach Dennis Green – he will always be remembered as a pioneer for sport of football,” wrote Senator John McCain. “Please don’t remember him for his “rant.” Remember him as leader with a rare offensive mind who dared to be great,” tweeted commentator Skip Bayless. That went well, although all eyes were on the next date. In Chico, California, she met Jordan Rodgers’ family … after swooning over the controversial frontrunner all season long, of course. As for the topic we’ve all been talking about – Jordan’s estranged relationship with Aaron Rodgers – JoJo carefully broached the subject. And he carefully tried to shut it down. “It won’t come up. It doesn’t need to be a topic,” he said, although the hilarious shot of two empty chairs at the dinner table said otherwise. Jordan and Aaron Rodgers’ brother Luke didn’t say much, but did divulge, “It’s something we don’t really like to talk about a whole lot.” “It pains both of us like, not to have that relationship [with Aaron] – we miss our brother. I trust that God brings things full circle,” he added. Again, we have zero idea what’s going on. One thing that is clear is that JoJo was still smitten. “[Jordan] is nobody’s brother,” she said. “He is a man that I am falling in love with.” Goodness, this is going to end so badly. Next up for JoJo was St. Augustine, Florida, for her hometown date with Robby Hayes and his never-ending supply of pink clothing. We’re just saying, it’s a little bit unusual. JoJo loves that Robby is in touch with his emotions, but when you awkwardly tell someone you love her 27 times, is that being emotional? Or unstable and desperate? Just asking. Anyway, things got weird, and dramatic, when she brought up her hesitations regarding Hayes’ infamous ex-girlfriend, Hope Higginbotham. Yes, the one now dating Chad Johnson . Robby and Hope dated for four years, we’re told, and he broke up with her just before going on the show; JoJo was rightfully concerned. Strangely, we then saw this scene featuring Robby’s mom, who took him aside to inform him that his ex’s roommate was stirring up s–t: The Bachelorette Clip: Robby Hayes’ Ex Speaks Out! Naturally, Robby freaked that Hope’s roommate was planting such stories in the press, so he needed to talk to JoJo about this immediately. Pressed about the timeline regarding his appearance on the show, and the end of his romance with Hope Higginbotham , he actually said: “I will tell you right now that’s not true by any means. My relationship with Hope, who is my ex, was over nine months before it actually ended.” Guy should go into politics with an answer like that. He explained: “It’s something that I didn’t have the capacity to end it when it should have because I thought changes were going to be made.” “And I tried to give her benefit of the doubt,” he added, but “I ended it at the end of December, we had a blowup fight and she slapped me.” Hoooookay then . This sounds 100 percent normal. Ultimately, despite the inordinate amount of time spent on Robby’s ex, and apparent emotional instability, this all ended rather smoothly. JoJo’s falling in love with him, she says. Sigh . Finally, JoJo traveled to Texas for her hometown date with Luke Pell, who seemed like the odd man out heading into the rose ceremony. Was he, though? Or was a big twist yet to come? The big elimination was set to go down in airport hangar, with a jet ready to whisk JoJo and the remaining guys on to the next date. The stakes were high, but Fletcher was resolute. “I think I need to say goodbye to Luke,” she revealed … until Luke interrupted the start of the ceremony and asked if they could step outside! What a truly unprecedented, dramatic interlude. That’s when he finally revealed that he’s in love with her! OMG! No doubt “this changes things,” said Fletcher to the camera, in tears. TO BE CONTINUED … likely with Luke’s inevitable elimination anyway, within the opening minutes of next week’s episode, but hey. The contrived Bachelorette cliffhangers are epic. More Photos And Details From Ciara And Russell Wilson’s Wedding Ciara dropped a few more gems from her Wednesday wedding on the ‘gram today, just in time as more details have been revealed about her and groom Russell Wilson’s big day. According to US Weekly reports Russell and all his groomsmen wore Armani and even Ciara’s son Future Zahir, who served as ring bearer rocked a “little man suit” made by the designer. As we already reported, Ciara wore a custom Roberto Cavalli gown by Peter Dundas, along with shoes she designed with the help of Giuseppe Zanotti, while her eight bridesmaids were outfitted by Michael Costello. “Every girl’s individual style is implemented in the design of their dress, as well as their personality,” Costello told Us Weekly in a statement. “Ciara made sure of that.” Turns out the couple may have been able to consummate their union as early as Tuesday because their marriage was legal in the U.S. as of July 5th when a judge signed the marriage certificate they’d already applied for in King County, Washington according to TMZ reports. Rayne Burse is my new favorite person. The aspiring model was taking her dog, Mojito for a walk near her fiance's home, when a woman in a striped shirt with a towel wrapped around her waist started approaching. ” I saw her coming out of her back door,” Burse told Huffington Post . “I was talking with my mom on my phone but her on hold to tell the woman, ‘I’m sorry if I’m trespassing,’ and then move away.” Burse had just moved into the neighborhood, and had never seen Dorrbecker before. “I think she was pretty racist and she was just mad that I was in her area,” she said of Maria Dorrbecker, 63. “But at the same time, I worried that she might have been just some old woman with dementia or schizophrenia or something.” The woman started pointing her finger in Burse's face, to the point where Burse had to end the call with her mom and record what was happening. Burse managed to keep her composure while asking Dorrbecker why she was so offended by Burse walking her dog, when she wasn't even on private property. “Because you’re part of south Miami,” Dorrbecker said, threatening to “report” Burse. When Dorrbecker reached for Burse's phone, Burse reacted. “I was taught to respect your elders, but I was trying to deescalate the situation before I turned on the camera, but she shut that down,” she said A scuffle ensued, and Burse gave her dog the command, “Move Mojito” (which is now a trending hashtag) before both women went their separate ways and called 911. When the police arrived, Burse showed the video, it was decided that she was simply defending herself. ““One [cop] asked if I wanted to press charges. At first, I said no, because I wanted to be rid of it. They were like, ‘Are you sure?’” Dorrbecker was ultimately charged with simple battery. “I defended myself,” Burse told Miami New Times . “Don’t try to put your hands on somebody and expect them to react cordially, especially if you were aggressive before that and they were trying constantly to resolve the situation… You’re asking for it at that point.”

Transgenders Will Now Be Allowed To Serve Openly In The U.S. Armed Forces Looks like the U.S. Armed Forces is falling in line with the state of societal norms in 2016 according to a statement released today by the Department Of Defense … Secretary of Defense Ash Carter today announced that transgender individuals will now be able to openly serve in the U.S. armed forces. The DoD policy announced today also establishes a construct by which service members may transition gender while serving, sets standards for medical care and outlines responsibilities for military services and commanders to develop and implement guidance, training and specific policies in the near and long-term. “This is the right thing to do for our people and for the force,” Carter said. “We’re talking about talented Americans who are serving with distinction or who want the opportunity to serve. We can’t allow barriers unrelated to a person’s qualifications prevent us from recruiting and retaining those who can best accomplish the mission.” The policy will be phased in during a one-year period. Effective immediately, service members may no longer be involuntarily separated, discharged or denied reenlistment solely on the basis of gender identity. Service members currently on duty will be able to serve openly. It’s one thing to allow transgenders to serve openly, its another thing entirely to get the soldiers to accept them and not haze, abuse, or discriminate against them.
