Young Jeezy Calls Trap Or Die 2 A ‘Timeless Mixtape’

‘I felt the streets needed some real music,’ he tells Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid, with additional reporting by Rahman Dukes Young Jeezy Photo: USDA This Week’s Main Pick Artists : Young Jeezy and Don Cannon Holding It Down For : CTE Mixtape : Trap or Die 2: By Any Means Necessary Real Spit : The Snowman’s track record is irrefutable. He likes his chances against anyone when it comes to the mixtape game. A couple of weeks ago, Young Jeezy returned to his Trap or Die origins with a sequel to the classic tape that came out nearly half a decade ago. “I felt the streets needed some real music,” Jeezy said down in Atlanta. Trap or Die 2 is the set-up to his upcoming LP, Thug Motivation 103. “At the end of the day, I never do an album without putting out a tape [first]. I felt that I would have been cheating if I ain’t do so. I went in the lab, got with my homie Cannon. [We] whipped it up. I’m on the block. The sound of this tape is a little different, I can’t lie. I wanted to do real music. I wanted to do a timeless mixtape. “When the first Trap or Die came out,” he added, “all I knew was the producers around the way. Now, these days, I’m a little bigger. Just a little bit. So I reached out. I hollered at Cannon, Toomp, Shawty Redd. … I don’t wanna forget nobody. I hollered at everybody, and they gave me music. It’s soulful. It’s some get-you-through-your-day music. It’s definitely some get-you-through-your-night music. Hopefully, if you listen to it right, by the end of the summer, your money should be right. Literally!” The aforementioned Cannon said he came aboard the project because Jeezy and DJ Drama, who hosted the original and was tapped to do this current tape, had scheduling conflicts. “I was called into Trap or Die 2 a couple of months ago,” Cannon explained. “It was something DJ Drama was supposed to do. I guess [Jeezy] felt the tape had to be done fast, because he was on a campaign.” Cannon visited Young in the studio one night to hear TM103, and the Snowman enlisted him for the mixtape. “He was like, ‘I got this mixtape,’ ” Cannon said. ” ‘I’m thinking about just putting it out. Doing it my way.’ He had the concept By Any Means Necessary. I told him, ‘Yo, this joint is gonna be crazy.’ A week or two passed by, he hit me on the phone. He was like, ‘Yo, would you do this tape if I want you to do this tape for me?’ That’s how Trap or Die 2 came about. I grabbed up all the records, took them immediately in the studio and got busy. We plan on taking over the summer with this thing.” Jeezy’s current single from TM103 is “Lose My Mind” with Plies . Joints to Check For

Lindsay Lohan Wakes Up, Satisfies Cravings Fast

Friends say Lindsay Lohan may not be able to comply with a court order to stay away from drugs and alcohol. As in, Linds may not be physically capable. When the train wreck shows up in court tomorrow, Judge Marsha Revel will almost certainly lay the smack down, telling her to cut out drugs and alcohol. Period. Legally. Judge Marsha Revel talked Thursday about the conditions of her bail – refraining from consuming alcohol, wearing a SCRAM bracelet to monitor alcohol consumption, and submitting to random drug testing at least once a week. A friend says that’s a joke: “She can’t make it through a day … She’s a mess.” Another source says Lohan “wakes up with cravings and satisfies them fast.” Somehow we’re not surprised. But will she be required to go clean Monday? NO CANNES DO : Lindsay Lohan going clean? Forget about it . Probation violations aside – she’s already in deep for missing her mandatory alcohol education classes – the judge could revoke bail for drinking or drugs. If that Lindsay Lohan cocaine pic is any indication, we give it a day. Don’t ask us what the point of alcohol education classes even is when she goes out partying until the wee hours of the morning almost nightly, but hey. Stay tuned there. In other Lindsay news, the person who wired Lohan’s bail money at lightning speed last Thursday also helped Britney Spears in 2008. Lou Taylor is considered a behind-the-scenes wheeler and dealer who pushes some pretty controversial born-again views … and is now on Team Lindsay. Taylor is not only considered genius in the money department, she’s a huge personality with a moral force that easily rivals her Husband, who’s a minister. She is not shy at all about pushing her born again religious views, something that scared the hell out of Britney Spears . Can she do the same for Lindsay?

Drake Reps H-Town ‘Till The Day I Die’ On Away From Home Tour

The Toronto MC brings out Houston rap luminaries Bun B, Lil Keke, Trae Tha Truth and others. By Cynithia Allen Drake (file) Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Drake did the Texas two-step this week, bringing his Away From Home Tour to Dallas on Wednesday, and the next day, to Houston, where he closed out his initial run of U.S. dates. The 23-year-old Toronto MC’s show was highly anticipated in H-Town, a city Drake gave props to on “November 18th,” off the Chopped N Screwed version of his So Far Gone mixtape. He opened Thursday night’s show at Houston’s Verizon Wireless Theater with his club banger “Over,” whipping the crowd into a frenzy. Drizzy told his fans that “only three things matter at this time: Number one, I’m Drizzy Drake. Two, I’m part of the hottest team in the game right now — Young Money/ Cash Money. Finally, I rep H-Town till the day I die.” The Grammy-nominated artist showed his respect for the City of Syrup with a performance of the aforementioned “November 18th,” which true Houstonians know was inspired by the Screwed Up Clique’s late-90s posse cut “June 18.” One of the Clique’s original members, Lil Keke, was on hand to deliver his verse from the ensemble track. And the Houston rap scene was amply represented at the concert: In addition to Keke, Drake brought out Houston luminaries Z-Ro, Trae Tha Truth and the Underground King himself, the timeless Bun B. Cash Money’s Birdman, who has made appearances on several dates of the tour, came through for “Money to Blow,” and then performed the Big Tymers hit “Still Fly.” The theater seemed to shake to the rafters as the excited crowd began reciting lyrics — “Gator boots with the pimped-out Gucci shoes.” The stage was then turned over to Young Money members Gudda Gudda and Lil Twist, who came out to assist on “Bed Rock.” The show continued with the lovemaking theme on “A Night Off,” which saw Drake bring out a microphone whose stand was covered in female undergarments. The ladies went berserk, throwing bras and panties at the dynamic MC, a practice that has become a ritual at every Away From Home show. In an interview Drake gave to CNN , he said he was attempting to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most bras thrown at a performer during a single show. When Drake chose a 27-year-old Houston fan to join him onstage, he warned her that anything could happen, including licking, sucking or kissing. No one seemed to be left disappointed at this show. And while he may not have been given the key to the City of Syrup, Drake proved he already has the town on lock. Are you planning to see Drake in Concert now that he’s added more dates to his tour? Breaking Kendra Wilkinson Video Details: Orgies, Lesbians and Sex Toys!

Some time in 2003, Justin Frye broke out his tripod and filmed he and then-girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson having sex. He then solid the video to Vivid Entertainment for $100,000. This much we know. This much we’ve seen ( yikes! ). But new details have emerged, and they shed light on even more graphic details from the sex tape. Or, should we say, sex tapes ?!? According to Radar Online, Kendra made at least one other video back in the day. It featured her and a woman named Taryn, as sources say “multiple partners are featured having intimate relations with the reality television star” on camera. If you’re reading this right now, Hank Baskett, we’re very sorry. But are you really surprised? For now, Vivid plans to release Kendra Exposed on May 28. Like any mainstream film, its success would lead to a sequel that stars Kendra and a “scantily-clad woman who is wearing skimpy lingerie.” Don’t shed any tears for Wilkinson if/when either of these tapes go public: she has struck a deal in which she earns 50% of all sales. We’re talking seven figures, easy! In fact, the only thing easier than earning this money: Kendra herself.

Biggie Would Have Spent 38th Birthday ‘With The Family,’ Lil’ Cease Says

Junior M.A.F.I.A. member recalls some of B.I.G.’s past birthdays. By Shaheem Reid, with additional reporting by Rahman Dukes and Sway Calloway Notorious B.I.G. Photo: Getty Images The Big man with the even bigger heart. Friday (May 21) would have been Notorious B.I.G.’s 38th birthday. Lil’ Cease sat back and thought about fond memories of his late friend, especially birthday memories. There was a time when Cease lost a birthday present that Faith Evans had bought her husband. “I lost a ring she bought Big,” Cease said with a big grin. “It was about $15,000.” Cease would sometimes wear Biggie’s jewelry onstage while they were performing. During a section in the show where they performed “Gimme the Loot,” Cease would throw wads of cash into the crowd. During one show in Texas, Cease was wearing Big’s gift and threw the ring in the crowd along with the money. The youngest member of the Junior M.A.F.I.A. didn’t realize until they were backstage after the show. “He’s like, ‘A’ight, where that ring at, playboy?’ ” Cease thought back. “I’m looking on my finger, in my pockets. … He was like, ‘That ring is gone.’ ” Cease said Big wasn’t angry, he just told him he had to deal with Faith. Cease also laughed when he looked at a picture of Biggie blowing out birthday candles with Puff Daddy at a party, circa 1995. “That’s Puff Daddy. I can’t remember his name, but the guy in the middle, that’s Stevie J’s brother,” the Brooklyn native said, looking at the photo that was shot by Ronnie Wright. “We was in the park during a Total video shoot. We was just sitting there, 3 o’clock in the afternoon, drinking Cristal on the grass in Long Island, having fun. Fly. That was just the start of the day.” Laughter ensued when Cease thought about when Biggie turned 21. “At that time, we was still getting on with the record deal. It wasn’t that much of a celebration. Just more some family and friends sitting around having a good time. Real basic stuff. A little party. Riding around listening to music. We knew what was about to happen. Puff was working with him. Diddy threw a nice gathering for us. It was just the basics. Big had that Land Cruiser. We would drive around, get that smoke for the first part of the day. Then we was in the lab, in Daddy’s House [Diddy’s studio]. Daddy’s House had just got up and running.” When asked how Big would be celebrating today, Cease said more of the same. “Today, he’d probably just be with the family,” Cease said. “We had our experience on the road: performing, doing shows, big parties. He definitely would have had a big party. A celebrity affair. But he also would have done something private with the M.A.F.I.A., close friends, wife. He kept it together with everybody he dealt with, and I’m sure they would have all came out and shown their love for Big and kept everything else under the carpet, whatever it was. Big had that type of heart, that everyone would wanna come out and show their love and spend that day with him.” How do you think Biggie would have celebrated his 38th birthday? Let us know in the comments.

Elizabeth Hurley’s Cleavage Never Disappoints

The new breed of Hollywood starlets could learn a lot from Elizabeth Hurley , she almost always hits the red carpet with some incredible cleavage. Consistency is the key. Here she is at some ball the other night giving us the perfect example of what I’m talking about. You could park a bicycle in that cleavage. Amazing. I’m not using bicycle for a euphemism for anything either, I truly believe that if you parked a bike tire in between those beauties it would stay up. Maybe not a mountain bike, but at least a ten speed.

On VOD: Cloudy Satire and Helen Mirren’s Nude Debut

It’s a hard thing not to love: the fast, funny, adept digitally animated kids’ movie that actually, even secretly, comes packing double barrels of satiric subtext. Sure, you think of WALL -E , which for my money painted the most lacerating portrait anyone has seen this century of American consumerism run amok. Did those millions of happy Pixar consumers not get the point? More to the point, did the millions of chortling filmgoers absorbing Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs have any trouble last year shoveling the popcorn and Raisinets? As of today, it’s on demand…

Drake Brings Out Special Guests At Dallas Away From Home Tour Stop

Baby and Lil Twist join their Young Money/ Cash Money comrade; Drizzy drops a Dallas freestyle. By Sarah Bryant Drake performs in Dallas on Wednesday Photo: Sarah Bryant DALLAS — Drake ‘s Away From Home Tour landed at the Palladium on Wednesday night, and the Young Money MC sounded just like the records you bang in your car — no Auto-Tune necessary. The Toronto native kicked off the show with songs from his breakout mixtape, So Far Gone, and then gave fans a taste of what’s to come on his June 15 debut, Thank Me Later, with “Fireworks,” which will feature Alicia Keys on the album. Drake temporarily diverted the love and attention from himself to his big brother, Lil Wayne. “It’s Young Money all day. Free Weezy,” Drake said between songs. “When I say Young Money, you say Free Weezy.” Birdman then made a special appearance during “4 My Town (Play Ball),” and the crowd got even crazier when the DJ dropped the beat for “Money to Blow.” “We certified getting it CM, YM, Cash Money business,” Baby rapped. Lil Twist also joined Drake onstage during “Bedrock.” The biggest spectacle was made by a fan, not a guest MC. Christina McAlister from Fort Worth, Texas, was picked from the audience to participate in the show. She landed not just a dance with Drake, but a kiss on the lips. The ladies “ooohed” with excitement as Christina tried to keep her cool. Shortly after, Drake pulled out his mic stand covered with bras, and his collection began to rack up, as women threw their bras to the stage. “I’ll make sure to add these to my treasure chest,” he chuckled. Though his newest single, “Find Your Love,” was conspicuously absent, he had to perform his breakthrough track, “Best I Ever Had.” Drake’s fans knew this show couldn’t be missed, because getting tickets wasn’t easy. In Dallas, tickets sold out within the first 24 hours. Devin Smith, a 23-year old senior from the University of North Texas, had to wait until tickets were re-released in mid-April to score his. “Just seeing Drake was on a different level!” Smith exclaimed. He and his friend arrived at the Palladium at 11:30 a.m. for the 8 p.m. performance so they could get the best seats in the house. They camped out in front, studied for summer classes and chatted with their newfound, like-minded friends. “It was worth the wait sitting there. … He put on a great concert,” Smith said. “He had great energy, and it was everything I thought it would be. It sounds cheesy, but it’s true.” Drake must have really loved his time in the D. On Thursday morning (May 20), he released “9 AM in Dallas Freestyle.” “Weezy, I’m just out here reppin’ us,” he raps. “Till I get to shake the hand of the man that’s blessing us/ I know these n—as miss the mean lyrics/ Kush got the room smelling like Teen Spirit/ … Money gets all of my love and affection/ Cars all black like the cover of Essence / I’m allergic to coming in second/ But I never sneeze/ YMO-ney, n—a.” Have you checked out Drake’s Away From Home Tour? Sofia Vergara in Lingerie Clip from 2007 of the Day

This is a clip from some bullshit called Dirty Sexy Money which I assume Sofia Vergara did back in 2007 when she was was struggling to get work, but landed 4 episodes of this show, before her spic tits made it into high paid primetime programming, and I am posting it because she’s all famous now thanks to Modern Family and the world is all in love with her and I know that in order to get from being a poor Columbian daughter of a druglord to being the tits every married man forced to watch shitty television cuz his wife owns him and the TV remote, wants to fuck means that a lot of the real good cocksuckin’ went down and I always appreciate a good whore making it to the top when she can’t even speak the fucking language. Sometimes it’s nice to start they day to remember where you came from and where you got started before really appreciating where you are today, except in my case, since it’s all been downhill since the start. Enjoy this stellar acting and sheer talent that made her the star she is today…it’s tame, it’s from ABC, coincidentally the same network that brings you Modern Family, which may not be a coincidence at all, thanks to her gag reflex or lack there of….whore should be cleaning hotel rooms, you know making beds not hit TV shows…but at least she has tits.
