A new job – and a new baby! Newly-minted Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer welcomed a baby boy on Sunday night, she and her husband Zachary Bogue announced on Monday. The 37-year-old#39;s financier hubby shared the good news in a Tweet: “Baby boy Bogue born last night. Mom (@marissamayer) and baby are doing great – we couldn#39;t be more excited!” And the new parents are relying on technology for more than simply sharing their family news.

We had a feeling Alex Wong’s prognosis was grim after that ACL injury he suffered in rehearsals, and when he didn’t dance with the rest of the contestants at the top of the results show, our suspicions were confirmed: He’s far too injured to continue competing on So You Think You Can Dance . Jesus, God, why? He was going to win this damn thing following a final match-up with Billy Bell, who would’ve pulled out all the stops and danced as 14 different cats (from tabby to tiger) in 60 seconds. Since that final duel is now impossible, let’s revisit Alex Wong’s best routine of the season and weep to our loved ones about his exquisite lines, touching commitment, and that time the wardrobe department made him wear a FUBU costume.

Despite some slight apprehension after watching the most recent trailer — the one with Steve Buscemi as Tony Soprano in period dress — there are few upcoming series that have me more excited than HBO’ s Boardwalk Empire . That happens when the pilot is directed by Martin Scorsese, written and created by Sopranos stalwart Terence Winter, and stars Buscemi, Michael Shannon, Michael Pitt and Michael K. Williams (though where is Michael Weston when you need him?). Well, the news just came into Movieline HQ: The series will premiere on Sunday, September 19 at 9pm, meaning Mad Men will have some testosterone-y company on your DVR.

The first political convention I ever attended was when my mom was pregnant with me in 1984 and the Republican Party nominated Ronald Reagan for a second term as President. I have been on political stages and in campaigns since before I could walk or talk. If there is one thing I have learned, it is that it is difficult to establish your identity and independence as the son or daughter of a politician. When I was 14 years old, a reporter questioned my father about me having a hypothetical abortion, had I been pregnant at 14. This reporter’s question single-handedly changed my life. This story comes up in almost every profile written about me and in almost every interview. It’s a rough go being the son or daughter of a politician. I have not known Bristol Palin very long, but there is a certain kinship I feel to her as I do other political daughters such as Chelsea Clinton, Jenna and Barbara Bush and Mary Cheney. You can’t fully understand it unless you have lived it. So I just wanted to let it be known that I support Bristol and the entire Palin family.

If Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke is really dating Kate Hudson, it would be one of the weirdest stories of all time. For that reason we endorse it 100 percent. The actress was spotted at Coachella with the British rocker Thom Yorke last week, ” getting comfy with Thom Yorke at Palm Springs’ Ace Hotel.” We’ll buy it! Thom Yorke may be not be physically noteworthy, but he is an intellectually impressive individual whose songwriting has long been a favorite of music critics. The man detests the spotlight and popular culture, and could be described as a reserved, rather morose human being, at least based on Radiohead’s catalog. Basically, he is the polar opposite in every way of Alex Rodriguez , and seemingly of Hudson herself, which is why we could not be more excited if this is true. As long as he confirms if the Kate Hudson boob job rumors are true. Somehow we don’t see it. Unfortunately .
