Demi Lovato is brimming with confidence these days. Just consider her recent actions: The artist recently stripped down naked and makeup free for Vanity Fair. She recently danced with strippers and got really close to a few dongs . Oh, and she recently released an album titled “Confident.” Let's not forget about that. Lovato appeared Thursday on Good Morning America in order to promote for the album (which debuted at number-two on the Billboard chart) and also to sing her latest track. Before doing so, however, Lovato gave an interview to Good Morning America co-host Amy Robach in which she talked of her desire to “empower” fans and of how self-confidence (or a lackthereof) is an issue that affects nearly everyone around the world. She received props for her makeup-free Mondays and the ways in which she's always so open to the public. Demi also confirmed her upcoming tour with Nick Jonas , not revealing too many details about what the long-time friends have planned, but making it clear she excited to “play for the audience.” Lovato proceeded to say she’s been very happy with the response to her new music so far, which prompted the fans watching in the studio to cheer loudly. Asked what they’re saying, Lovato replied: “You’ve grown as an artist, and we’re growing with you.” It really is true. Demi has grown both as an artist and also as a human being. She's one of our favorites, in terms of how she's handled her personal life and her struggles over the years. Check out the following footage for a look at this complete interview now.
Last week, we reported Institute for Basic Life Principles founder Bill Gothard is being sued by five former employees who claim they were sexually harassed by Gothard during their time with the IBLP. Gothard is best known to the public as a friend and mentor of the Duggar family. Now, another close Duggar associate is being implicated in the scandal: According to Radar Online, Bringing Up Bates star Gil Bates is also being sued for allegedly helping to cover up the abuse. Bates is reportedly one of six defendants to be named in the suit for assisting Gothard with his systematic abuse of dozens of female employees over the course of several decades. Like Gothard, Bates is best known as a longtime friend of Jim Bob Duggar and a famous follower of the controversial Quiverfull movement that’s espoused by the Duggar clan. Like Jim Bob, Gil Bates is both the patriarch of a family of 19 and the star of a basic cable reality show. The Bates family’s Bringing Up Bates currently airs on UP TV. In recent months, it’s been rumored that Gil’s son Lawson Bates is “courting” Jinger Duggar – Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s 21-year-old daughter. The Duggar family has yet to respond to the accusations against Bates. Though they are not directly involved in Bates’ alleged wrongdoing, it’s certainly an unwelcome situation for a family that’s been repeatedly rocked by scandal this year. Kim Zolciak has given fans an important health update. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member, who was forced to drop out of Dancing with the Stars due to a stroke, shared the following photo on Instagram today and included with it a helpful message. “My surgery was a success!! Glad it’s over!” Zolciak captioned a selfie from her hospital bed. “Quite the whirlwind this last month has been…but such a blessing too.” Via hashtags, Zolciak added that “God is incredible” and that her family has been “so supportive.” Zolciak suffered a small stroke last month, which prompted an evaluation from doctors and the discovery that Zolciak had a heart condition . “It was a blessing in disguise,” Zolciak told Good Morning America on October 9, regarding the diagnosis. “The minor TIA revealed that I have a PFO, which is like a hole in your heart. I was born with it and it never closed. That’s what caused it, basically.” Zolciak had said previously that she planned on playing a role on the Dancing with the Stars finale, but her status for that series is now unclear. The mother of six has far more pressing issues to deal with in the near future. View Slideshow: Kim Zolciak Body Selfies
