Of course she is. Or she loves to keep us guessing. Probably both. Rihanna just released the cover art for singles “Stay” and “Pour It Up,” and on the former, she cozies up to a man. A man who can ONLY be Chris Brown … right?! After what many believe are the signature Chris Brown neck tattoos were seen in the shot, tabloids began speculating that the two were back on once again. So are they? Despite reports that Chris is still putting it to Karrueche Tran (and Sommer Gargan , and Ayem Nour), he and Rih never seem to be apart for too long. Recent highlights include the twosome posing in bed, sharing intimate hugs, going to the Lakers game, rocking matching Rolexes and wishing you a thug life Christmas. And now there’s the cover for “Stay”, which features these lyrics: Round and around and around and around we go Not sure how to feel about it Something in the way you move Makes me feel like I can’t live without you And it takes me all the way I want you to stay Yup. They are 100 percent probably boning right now.
Pauline Phillips, better known as Abigal Van Buren, the woman who founded the famous “Dear Abby” advice column, has died at the age of 94. She had been battling Alzheimer’s disease. Pauline’s daughter, Jeanne, who took over the “Dear Abby” column , confirmed yesterday, “I have lost my mother, my mentor and my best friend.” “My mother leaves very big high heels to fill with a legacy of compassion, commitment and positive social change. I will honor her memory every day by continuing this legacy.” Her “Dear Abby” column first appeared in print in 1956. Eventually, its readership topped 100 million. Success, and words of wisdom, ran in her family. Pauline’s twin sister was fellow advice columnist Ann Landers, who died in 2002 at the age of 83. Phillips used the pen name Abigail Van Buren – “Abigail” hails from a wise woman in the Old Testament and “Van Buren” was one of her favorite presidents.

Subway customers are up in arms and busting out measuring tapes amid reports that the chain’s famous foot-long subs fall a half an inch or even a full inch short. The controversy began on Tuesday in Perth, Australia, when a discerning customer named Matt Corby ordered one and pulled out a tape measure: Corby found the sub measured only 11 inches long and took his outrage to Facebook, where he posted a photo of it with the caption “subway pls respond.” The photo, predictably, sparked an abundance of similar photos on Facebook of subs being measured and countless comments on Subway’s page. The New York Post followed up on Corby’s post with an investigation of its own and found Corby’s viral photo to be closer to the rule than the exception. Four out of seven “Five-dollar Footlongs” purchased at Subways in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, measured only 11 or 11.5 inches, the Post said. A local franchisee said the chain has cut the portions of their cold-cut meats by 25 percent recently and raised the cost of food to individual store owners. Deliberate recipes for cost-cutting, one could say. Subway said it will look into it, but the discrepancy in length may be due to the fact that the bread is baked fresh daily in each of its 38,000 restaurants. You buying that explanation, or is Subway guilty of false advertising? Or actually doing you a favor by saving you the extra calories of that last half-inch?
Kim Kardashian is not feuding with Beyonce. Sister Khloe Kardashian is not jealous of her sister’s pregnancy. And the divorce case with Kris Humphries is not moving along as quickly as Kim would like. Kim and Kourtney touched on all these topics and more this week during an interview with radio program Sway in the Morning, as the pair continue to promote this Sunday’s premiere of them taking over Miami. Give the discussion a look and a listen now if you somehow aren’t sick of this reality star already: Kim and Kourtney on Sway in the Morning

It’s a good morning for Harvey Weinstein , Fox and Sony Pictures Classics . Sifting through the more surprising-than-usual list of Academy nominations , these are the three big winners of the fierce behind-the-scenes campaigning that movie studios, their specialty divisions (and their consultants) do to get their pictures, directors, actors, etc. onto the hallowed Oscars short list. The Weinstein Company has the enviable dilemma of now having to decide how to run two Best Picture campaigns for Silver Linings Playbook and Django Unchained. It also managed to get Joaquin Phoenix a Best Actor nomination for The Master despite Phoenix’s slagging of the Oscars as the “stupidest thing in the world” and the picture’s quick fade as a contender in the awards buzz circus. David O. Russell’s nomination, after being passed over by the Director’s Guild , is another sign of TWC’s political muscle, particularly since the Silver Linings Playbook director is an outsider in Hollywood — like Weinstein and Phoenix, for that matter. (Okay, so Weinstein may be way more inside than he was in the Miramax days, but he’s still an outsider. Fox employee and this year’s Oscars host Seth MacFarlane made that clear earlier this morning, when referring to the Best Supporting Actress nominees, he cracked: “Congratulations, you five ladies no longer have to pretend to be attracted to Harvey Weinstein.”) Fox and Sony also did well in the Best Picture category: Fox 2000 has Life of Pi and Fox Searchlight has Beasts of the Southern Wild in the top category, but Sony is the more interesting story here. While the Annapurna-produced Columbia Pictures-distributed Zero Dark Thirty was nominated for Best Picture as expected, director Kathryn Bigelow’s omission in the Best Director category goes down as one of the biggest snubs of this morning. On the other hand, the nominations of Sony Pictures Classics’ Amour in the Best Picture and Best Foreign Picture categories and Michael Haneke for Best Director is quite a coup for the mini major given the competition this year and the film’s difficult subject matter. In other words, Haneke’s gain is related to Bigelow’s loss. Thoughts? Leave them in the comments section.
