There still will be no public memorial service for Whitney Houston , but a publicist for the late singer told CNN that Saturday’s funeral in Newark, New Jersey will be made available for television and web streaming. The services will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, where Houston sang as a child. Services begin at noon. Gospel singer and pastor Marvin L. Winans, a longtime friend of the Houston family, will give the eulogy, while Houston’s godmother, Aretha Franklin, will be among the performers. Winans officiated at Houston’s 1992 marriage to Bobby Brown. Others confirmed on the guest list are Chaka Khan, Bebe & CeCe Winans, songwriter Diane Warren, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, pop singer Darlene Love, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Antonio “L.A.” Reid, Ray J and Brandy. Houston’s cousin, singer Dionne Warwick, was in New Jersey helping the family with funeral arrangements. Although the family is not commenting on Houston’s final resting place, her death certificate filed Wednesday in Los Angeles lists it as Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey. With an original release date not set until sometime in the Fall, rumors are circulating that Sony Pictures may release “Sparkle” (in which Whitney Houston stars) as early as Memorial Day due to increased fan interest. SOUCE: L.A. Times On Monday morning, Radar Online quoted an anonymous source at Sony saying the release date for the movie, in which Houston plays the mother of aspiring pop singers, is being moved up from Aug. 17 because of fan interest. The film “could be released as early as Memorial Day,” Radar quoted the source as saying. Shortly afterward, a Sony spokesman said that the report was “not true” and that the film would be released on schedule on the third weekend of August. So for now, it appears to be sitting pat. A remake of a 1976 Irene Cara movie, “Sparkle” is still technically in postproduction, though a rough cut has been completed.

A few more details have been released regarding Whitney Houston’s funeral on Saturday, and one is especially troubling for Bobby Brown. First, though, we can confirm that gospel singer Marvin Winans – who officiated the 1992 wedding of Houston and Brown – will eulogize the legend at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, while New Jersey Governor Chris Christie says government building flags will fly at half-staff that day. But will Brown even be in attendance at the memorial? Insiders tell TMZ that certain members of Whitney’s family do not want her ex-husband there, presumably due to his negative influence on Houston when they were married and the belief that he introduced her to a world of narcotics. Bobby, of course, wants to pay his respects to Whitney and also wants to be there for daughter Bobbi Kristina , who is struggling mightily – she’s been hospitalized twice for anxiety – with her mother’s passing. Here we go again. After a hiatus of at least a few hours, the tabloid rumor mill is alive again with rumors of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s wedding!! Fake spoiler alert: It’s SO on this summer ! After seven years and six kids (going on eight, according to OK!, which has thrown in a fake pregnancy for good measure), Brad and Angelina Jolie will finally tie the knot. “Sources” say the world’s most glamorous couple will become husband (her third) and wife (his second) in a small, stylish ceremony at their 16th-century French chateau. According to an alleged Brangelina inside source: “Brad and Angie have kept this quiet, and they’re talking about how and when to announce it. They really get a kick out of teasing people with this whole thing.” Funny, that’s pretty much true of OK! as well. Together since 2005, the couple has famously vowed to resist matrimony until same-sex marriage is legal in the whole U.S. But have they softened that stance? Bogus tabloid covers aside, they have indicated that it may happen … eventually. “We’d actually like to get married ,” Pitt revealed in a recent interview. “We made a declaration that we weren’t going to ’til everyone can. But I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out. It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot.” Bottom line: It will happen. Just not at any chateau this summer.
