You Can’t Be Serious… Lindsay Blo-han Is Already Off House Arrest???

This broad must be the White celebrity female version of Keyser Söze : “protected by the Devil on high” when it comes to her criminal activity. Her house arrest for constantly violating probabtion and being a thieving drunk/powderhead is officially over. And if you’re trying to remember how much time it’s been since she was sentenced: 35 days. That’s shorter than the amount of summer school a kid gets for failing high school math! A source confirms to E! News that Lohan has had her ankle bracelet removed and is now free to leave her Venice, Calif. residence. Separately, Lindsay’s rep tells E!: “I spoke with her yesterday and she told me she is eager to return to fulfilling her community service obligation which she has been unable to perform during house arrest.” For Lohan, who hasn’t been seen on the big screen since her blink-and-you-missed-it cameo in 2010′s action film Machete, that “obligation” includes mopping floors at the L.A. County Morgue. Lohan was originally sentenced to 120 days in prison for violating her probation after she was charged with felony grand theft for allegedly swiping a $2,500 necklace. Those charges were later reduced to a misdemeanor for which she pleaded no contest. However due to the fact that Lohan’s a non-violent offender, she was eligible to complete her term by spending 35 days in home confinement to reduce jail overcrowding, her movements tracked by an ankle monitor. There was speculation last week that she might end up back in the clink however after she flunked a random alcohol test on June 13. But after being ordered back to court last week, the judge said the incident did not constitute a probation violation. WHAT. The hell??? At least she’s not all the way off the hook. While her time in home detention has come to an end, the actress still has to complete 480 hours of community service that includes 360 hours working at the Downtown Women’s Center in L.A. and another 120 hours performing janitorial duties at the L.A. County Morgue. The community service must be completed within a year and Lohan is due back in court for a progress report on July 21. We don’t even understand why they still waste time and taxpayer money to bring this broad to court when she never ever ever gets punished for real. Souce

Dear Bossip: He Hordes His Phone!

Hello Bossip fam, lol. I have a problem with a man that I’m dating and I know I’m probably making it a bigger issue than it is. I was married through out my 20′s and been divorced for four years now. Anywho I’ve been dating this guy for about 6 or 7 months now and he’s 3 years younger than me which isn’t a huge difference but it’s enough to make me wonder. Of course he knows why me and me ex-husband divorced and it was because I found evidence of his cheating in his cell phone and it was all I needed to confirm that I wasn’t crazy and that a divorce was in order. The guy I’m seeing now obviously took that and ran with it and now he hordes his phone and granted I told him that if it’s near me I will snoop through it. I believe I meant it as a joke but the more he hides it, it makes me want to go through it! We’re just dating without a real exclusive commitment so it’ snot like I would be justified in being mad at what I find but it really makes me wonder. He won’t even bring the phone in the same room when he stays over or he’ll leave it in the car when we go out. At first I thought it was endearing but now I’m getting suspicious. Should I find a way to get to it or should I leave well enough alone? Good day, sis, thank you for writing in and sharing your story! So, you’re paranoid by the absence of a cellular device when you’re with the man you’re currently dating? Why? If there is no real exclusivity clause in your relationship thus far, then why are you sweating his phone? If he’s not worried about his phone ringing when he’s with you, why are you concerned? He could very well be making a conscious effort to remain courteous, so don’t make a stink about it! And the fact that you’ve already disclosed to him why your marriage ended and that you will not hesitate to go through one’s phone, can you blame him? He’s still entitled to his privacy, Ma! It’s too early in the game for you to be going through the man’s phone! If he’s given you no reason to be concerned with his movements, then don’t sweat it! If he leaves his phone in the car or in another room, who cares? If his attention is devoted to you when you all are together, soak it up! If the communication between the two of you is on point, who cares about a cell phone? He might just want to get to know you without the drama of the “who, what, where when, why and how” line of questioning. A man who’s up to speed on technology knows, through experience or otherwise, that a cell phone can cause a major headache and disturb an otherwise good flow between two people, so they do their best to avoid it. On the other hand, trust your instincts! A woman’s intuition seldom fails her and if you have a gut feeling he’s playing games, you might be right! So do all you need to do to protect yourself emotionally, mentally and physically. If it takes you falling back and taking some space, do it. If you need to initiate an open and honest conversation between the two of you and gauge your movements based upon the results of said conversation, do it … without apology! Here’s the deal, Ma! We all have baggage but what you can’t do is make the mistake of taking all anger and mistrust from your marriage into a new relationship. It’s just unfair and, in the grand scheme of the things, unattractive. So, you should definitely decide whether it’s his actions that have you suspicious or if it’s your past coming back to haunt you. If you need to take time, take it, sis! But by all means, don’t push a potentially promising man away from your life because you can’t let go of the past! Be smart and make smart moves too, sis! Good luck to you! What are your thoughtsm Bossip Fam? Please share them below! Remember to e-mail all topic suggestions, questions and feedback to loveandrelationships@bossip.com !

Audrina Patridge’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Partner ‘Pumps’ Her Up

Former ‘Hills’ star says Tony Dovolani is ‘such a great teacher.’ By Kara Warner Audrina Patridge Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage Now that we know the season 11 “Dancing with the Stars” cast and the celeb/pro-dancer pairings , we’re left wondering about partner chemistry and what dances the pairs will roll out when the show premieres September 20. When MTV News caught up with Audrina Patridge between a flurry of photo shoots, wardrobe fittings and rehearsals recently, she said she’s having a great time so far, particularly working with her dance pro, Tony Dovolani. “He is amazing,” she said. “He’s such a great teacher. He’s very professional, and we have a lot of fun together. It’s really fun. I look forward to going to rehearsal every day.” Patridge added that dancing with a partner might spoil her for all other forms of dance. “I almost like dancing with a partner better, because they’re leading you and you have someone next to you, so it pumps you up to dance and move to their movements,” she explained. “I love it.” The former “Hills” star said she hasn’t yet mastered a particular step — since they’ve only had a few days of rehearsals — but she’s having fun learning so many new things. “[During our first rehearsal] I learned so many different things,” she said. “It was really just getting to know my way of learning; I’m a visual learner.” One movement she said she’s going to have to practice is spotting, a technique dancers use to focus their turns and keep from getting dizzy. “I practiced doing all the pique turns, [but] I need to practice spotting, because I get a little dizzy,” Patridge admitted. “Those are probably the most challenging for me right now: spotting and spinning without getting dizzy.” Will you be rooting for Audrina on “Dancing With the Stars”? Let us know in the comments!

Feds can now slip a tracking device on your car, in your own driveway, without a warrant

According to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, which covers nine Western states including Arizona and California, it’s perfectly fine for the government to send agents onto your property to secretly plant a GPS tracking device on your vehicle and follow your movements — all without a search warrant. That’s because, according to a panel of three judges, you have no reasonable expectation of privacy in your driveway, and no reasonable expectation that the government is not tracking you. Huh? The January ruling, upheld this month and reported by TIME magazine, pertains to a 2007 investigation of an Oregon resident who was suspected of growing marijuana. http://blogs.evtrib.com/nerdvana/2010/08/26/feds-can-now-slip-a-tracking-device-… added by: JackHerer

Smart Computer That Learns from Videos Can Make Traffic More Efficient

Image credit D. Küttel / ETH Zurich; via PhysOrg ETH researchers Daniel Küttel and Michael Breitenstein teamed up with professors Luc Van Gool and Vittorio Ferrari from the Institute of Image Processing to create a new software program that can learn from watching moving objects, analyzing things like street scenes and figuring out patterns and habits of things like moving vehicles. The new technology allows the computer to recognize things like the movements of normal traffic flow and any changes in that “normal” situation. It may have a big use in analyzing traffic a… Read the full story on TreeHugger

Goldfish Swim in Five-Part Harmony with Quintetto (Video)

Image via Gizmodo It never hurts to have a little of the weird mixed in to your Friday reading, and this certainly fits the bill. For those of us tired of the classic goldfish tank, there’s a new option to hook the tanks up to our stereo systems and listen as the fish make five-part harmony just by swimming around the tank. And installation called Quintetto by Quiet Ensemble uses video cameras to turn the movements of the five fish into a fabric of ambient music…. Read the full story on TreeHugger

E3 2010: Highlights From The Show Floor

Nintendo 3DS, Microsoft Kinect and PlayStation Move took center stage at this year’s event. By Russ Frushtick The Nintendo 3DS Photo: Nintendo Another E3 is in the books , and it seems the theme of this year’s show was more about breaking new technology barriers than innovating with new games. The three console manufacturers — Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo — each offered a new piece of hardware designed to enhance the gaming experience, with some more impressive than others. Microsoft’s Kinect, a motion-capture camera meant to sit below the TV, tracks a player’s body movements without the need for a controller. It’s a remarkable piece of technology, due in November, but does it make for better gaming? My time with Kinect was focused on a handful of games. The first, “Kinect Adventures,” was incredibly fun, with me flailing my real (and digital) arms as I raced down white-water rapids in an inflatable raft. Microsoft also enlisted the help of Turn 10, the developers of the racing title “Forza Motorsport,” to make a Kinect version of their game, which allowed me to steer an invisible wheel and direct a high-powered roadster down a serpentine track. There were some sensitivity issues, but for the most part, I was impressed by the fidelity of both experiences, with no part of me missing a controller in my hands. Sony’s E3 offering was PlayStation Move, also coming this fall. First revealed at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco earlier this year, Move is another motion-sensing gaming experience, but this one has you holding a wand to track your movements, similar to the Wii. Of the big hardware offerings, PlayStation Move seemed the most underwhelming. Playing through one of Sony’s mini-game collections, “Sports Champions,” I couldn’t help but feel like I was just experiencing a retread of Nintendo’s “Wii Sports Resort.” Certainly, the graphics looked better, but in terms of accuracy of motion capture and the fun factor, Move didn’t feel like it was breaking any new ground. There are dozens of titles coming to Move in the next year, so the success of the product is based on the quality of the software, but the current state of the device is a bit worrying. Nintendo’s focus for this year’s E3 was on its brand-new handheld, the Nintendo 3DS , planned for release sometime after fall 2010. The concept is that players will be able view 3-D images on this handheld screen without the need for 3-D glasses. That pitch seemed a little outrageous and out of the realm of reality but somehow Nintendo managed to pull it off. Videos and games on the device had visible depth to them, as if the screen went back several more inches. It doesn’t — I checked. This is the real deal. While playing through a technology demo of “Metal Gear Solid” for 3DS, I was able to watch the game’s hero crawl through thick jungle, surrounded by alligators, bees and other nasties. Despite this all taking place in my hands, I couldn’t help but jump when a snake snapped out at me from the screen. It’s unfortunate that there’s no way to capture the 3DS experience on video, and words hardly do it justice. It’s a truly remarkable piece of technology, unlike anything I’ve seen before, and it’s safe to say that it was the highlight of this year’s show. ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 10’s First Perfect Score Goes To Evan Lysacek

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba calls Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya’s tango ‘so sexy, so refined.’ By Kelley L. Carter Anna Trebunskaya and Evan Lysacek on “Dancing with the Stars” Monday Photo: ABC After feeling like he let partner Anna Trebunskaya down in their samba last week, Olympian Evan Lysacek made it up to her and then some on Tuesday night’s “Dancing With the Stars.” The couple earned the first perfect score of season 10 with their Argentine tango. “Evan Lysacek has the eye of the tiger!” Carrie Ann Inaba exclaimed before the judges awarded them with 30 points. “It was so sexy, so refined. Just the perfect combination of power and control.” Up first was ESPN reporter Erin Andrews and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who did a quickstep that the judges raved over. Last week, Chmerkovskiy was criticized for taking his clothes off, so they had a bit of fun with it and had him ripping off his pants and her skirt to reveal another dancing costume. “Erin, without doubt, your best dance. I loved your performance. Well done,” Len Goodman said. Score: 27 out of 30. The second pair to dance was Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl Burke, who did the Viennese waltz. “The pressure is on when you gotta be perfect,” the football player groaned during a rehearsal. The judges were impressed, saying that this was the night Chad became a contender. “Chad, I can’t believe you can be so graceful and so gentle; truly a gentle giant,” Bruno Tonioli said. Score: 25. Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough said they wanted to do a pure waltz, with no hodgepodge. Judge Carrie Ann Inaba called the pop singer by far the best dancer they have ever had on the show. “You’re so good that you dance almost as Derek’s equal. You still were side-by-side, next to each other. The connection was lacking, but the movements were gorgeous,” Inaba said. Score: 27. Pamela Anderson said she wanted to refine her technique, and her partner Damian Whitewood was determined to make it happen. Goodman called her waltz understated, and said that Anderson needs to “firm up” her upper body. “It’s a very tough dance,” Goodman added. Tonioli said she always gets the character right, but she “had to check the top line, which is very hard to hold constantly in these … dances.” Score: 24. Niecy Nash and Louis van Amstel did a quickstep, but before they performed, had a rather funny exchange in their rehearsal footage. “We’re like a couple who got divorced and still have to tolerate each other for the sake of the kids,” Nash joked. That oddball chemistry appeared to work for the judges. “Niecy, you never looked more gorgeous,” Tonioli said. “Your footwork was better than ever; your best dance to date.” Score: 25. In addition to the individual routines, the celebrities had to set aside their rivalries to do a group cha-cha, in a Madonna vs. Lady Gaga challenge. Team Gaga (Anderson and Whitewood, Scherzinger and Hough, and Burke and Ochocinco) beat Team Madonna (Nash and Van Amstel, Lysacek and Trebunskaya, and Andrews and Chmerkovskiy), earning 27 points to Madonna’s 24. Which couple do you think was the best on last night’s “Dancing With the Stars”? Share your reviews in the comments. Related Photos The 2010 Cast Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’
