If the movies 13 going on 30 , BIG and Freaky Friday were combined together the end result would be LITTLE . Marsai Martin stars in and executive produces Universal Pictures’ LITTLE , a comedy directed by Tina Gordon who also directed Peeples and ATL, that is produced by Will Packer the man who brought you smash hits like Girls Trip, Ride Along, and Think Like a Man franchise. The film tells a story of a woman named Jordan played by Regina Hall, who is a cut throat-stickler of a boss to her tech-savvy assistant, April played by Issa Rae. Jordan terrorizes her employees daily until a magical wish turns grown-up Jordan into a kid again, played by Marsai Martin. Imagine waking up as your 13-year-old self again, what would you do?. We sat down with Issa Rae and said if Little Issa could give big Issa advice she would tell her “I would tell her to have more fun, we wanted this, what are you stressing for? Why are you doing this much work? Where’s the play at and I’d listen to her too”. LITTLE is humorous and heartwarming as we watch the mean CEO learn her life lessons. The character Jordan must face her past of middle school, accepting her true self and making real friends. Regina Hall shared some of her life reflections saying, “Life doesn’t give you what you want, you should never think “I should have”, that just makes you miserable; It’s more than just being gracious, there‘s a lot of existences that go on in the world and I think we just get spoiled, or what we are entitled to. There is always something to be grateful for”. Halls performance was witty and fun to watch, her strong attitude carried the character of Jordan throughout the entire film. Issa Rae and Marsai Martin have an undeniable on-camera connection that made the comedic moments click right on time. Martin not only pitched this film but also drew inspiration from one of her favorite films BIG starring Tom Hanks. If you look deeper into the movie you will see where the uplifting messages arise. We spoke with Regina Hall and Issa Rae about uplifting each other in a work setting, black competition, creating opportunities, staying true to you regardless of outside circumstances, Black girl magic and more. That Escalated Quickly: Angry Mother Allegedly Attacks 81-Year-Old Who Called Her Out For Cutting In Line

Source: Hero Images / Getty Mom Reportedly Attacks Elderly Woman After Cutting In Line Police are currently searching for a mother who allegedly grabbed an 81-year-old woman by the hair and dragged her to the ground after a verbal altercation outside of a movie theater on the Upper West Side in New York City . The elderly woman told NBC New York that she was waiting outside of the 84th Street AMC theater to buy a ticket for the movie Dumbo, which is when a mom and her two children seemed to cut the line of patrons. Even though the woman didn’t know whether or not the rude maneuver was intentional, she made a point of speaking up about it. “I went like this,” the woman said as she motioned with one finger to demonstrate how she touched one of the children. “Just the gentlest touch. I just went like that to her daughter.” The woman continues on to say that that’s all it took for the mother to become belligerent. “Well, she just opened up her mouth,” the woman said. “She became so violent. I was just, like, shocked.” After seeing how angry she was, the older woman said she tried to apologize to the mom, but that only seemed to provoke her even further; Eventually, the younger woman resorted to physical violence. T he woman said she felt someone come behind her and grab her by the hair. “I just felt this dragging of my hair, and I felt myself go down and crash,” the woman told NBC New York. She allegedly fell backwards, hitting her head. She was taken to the hospital soon thereafter, where she was treated for dizziness, pain, and swelling, according to a police report obtained by Yahoo Lifestyle . “They X-rayed the thing and they said, thank goodness, there was no bleeding,” the woman said. Doctors told her she was very lucky she didn’t sustain a concussion. The mom and her children fled the theater and have still not been found, but police were able to capture her on surveillance video. “The individual is described as a female, Hispanic, long dark hair, mid 30′,” according to the police report.

He helped me do research by going to a strip club in NYC with me and we watched the show and afterwards I chatted to some of the girls. Of course he knew that world (the stripper world) very well from when he was a young athlete, going to the clubs and stuff. He helped me a lot with the preparation for this movie and was very supportive.” The Bronx beauty also dished on her awkward first date with A.Rod, but kept mum about their fairytale engagement. “Our first date wasn’t a first date but rather a meet up, but he was so awkward and cute and perfect from the first moment. I can’t disclose how the engagement happened because I have to talk to Alex before about how much he wants to disclose as well. The following day, the teaser trailer was released to the masses and of course, major commentary ensued. Joaquin Phoenix will take on the role of the Joker after a slew of notable roles in flicks like The Sisters Brothers, Her , and The Master , which earned him an Academy Award nomination. In the trailer for Joker , Phoenix seems destined to show off his acting chops with an eerie tale of a man pushed to the edge by society. In this psychological thriller, De Niro plays a taxi driver with insomnia who plots the assassination of a presidential candidate and the rescue of an underaged sex slave from her pimp. In the flick, De Niro’s character, Travis Bickle, keeps a diary similar to the one Phoenix keeps in the Joker trailer. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the most secretive organizations in all of the entertainment world, so we just take what we can get from the few cast slip-ups that come with each press cycle. Now, unfortunately for us, Chris Evans didn’t exactly slip up and give any actual info about End Game’s plot or anything like that–but he did give us some insight into the tone of the movie. Here’s what he said about the film to THR after watching a snippet: “It’s a good one. It’s a real good one,” said Chris, admitting that he’s already seen the first hour of the movie. “This one’s really good. I choked up like three times.” To the naked eye, that quote might not seem like anything too serious–but reading between the lines can be very telling. Though the Avengers films have had some  heart-wrenching moments in the past that don’t involve a character dying, it’s a pretty safe bet that any moment causing Captain America himself to choke up would be pretty heavy. So what could he be talking about that’s worthy of choking up over? Him and Tony Stark finally reuniting? His character’s last scene ever? To be fair, most of our mind’s our tainted because of this Chris Evans tweet from back in October, where he pretty much implied that the end is VERY near for him. I mean, we already knew that his contract was up after End Game, but let’s face it, this just has us all expecting the worst. Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. Paul McCartney is the latest musical icon to talk openly about Michael Jackson. Specifically, of course, Paul McCartney is the latest musical icon to talk openly about the strong likelyhood that Michael Jackson was almost a serial child molestor. Such accusations against Jackson are not new. But they’ve been brought to the forefront of late and emphasized in the most personal and heinous of ways by the documentary Leaving Neverland . It aired on HBO last month and centered on James Safechuck and Wade Robson, two men who claim the superstar abused them while they were young boys during the 1980s and 1990s. The film includes interviews with its subjects, along with harrowing details of their alleged ordeal and relationship with Jackson. It appears to have convinced many previous doubters that Jackson truly was guilty of these awful crimes and misdeeds. McCartney, the legendary former member of The Beatles, hasn’t defended Jackson in his first comments since the movie aired. But he has expressed legitimate shock over what the documentary depicts and concludes. “I think it’s sad,” McCartney told Radio Futuro in Chile, where he has been performing. “Obviously Michael was a great singer, a great artist and a great dancer. For years we’ve loved that. Nobody knew about the other side that’s shown in that movie,” the artist added. That’s not really true, of course. Jackson was taken to court (and acquitted) in 2005 on similar charges of molestation, whilc (reliable) talk about these kinds of actions following the singer around until his death in June of 2009. “When I knew him he was a really nice guy. I didn’t know about the dark side,” McCartney continues in this interview, adding: “It makes it very difficult to look back on the memories which were good memories, to think, oh boy, there was other stuff going on.” Jackson covered McCartney’s song “Girlfriend” on his “Off the Wall” album in 1979. The pair also recorded “The Girl Is Mine” together, along with “Say Say Say.” They were pretty close many decades ago, which is why it’s so hard for McCartney to accept the probable truth about Jackson. “For me, I’m okay to just stay with the personal memories I had of him. The other side is the other side. I don’t know about that,” McCartney said, concluding: “I can understand why people are very disappointed in him and angry that he had the dark side.” The other music Hall of Famers who have spoken out about Jackson have stuck their foot far deeper into their mouths than McCartney does here. In a truly stunning and nauseating statement, Barbara Streisand recently said of The King of Pop : “His sexual needs were his sexual needs, coming from whatever childhood he has or whatever DNA he has. You can say ‘molested’, but those children, as you heard say [the grown-up Robson and Safechuck], they were thrilled to be there.” YIKES, right? She even added: “They both married and they both have children, so it didn’t kill them.” Ummm… so we guess the well-orchestrated molestation was okay then, Babs? The singer/actress eventually apologized for these wildly tone deaf remarks, saying on Instagram: I am profoundly sorry for any pain or misunderstanding I caused by not choosing my words more carefully about Michael Jackson and his victims, because the words as printed do not reflect my true feelings. I didn’t mean to dismiss the trauma these boys experienced in any way. Like all survivors of sexual assault, they will have to carry this for the rest of their lives. I feel deep remorse and I hope that James and Wade know that I truly respect and admire them for speaking their truth. Diana Ross, however, is apparently standing by her words. The Supremes singer referred to Jackson a “magnificent incredible force” and asked his accusers to ” stop in the name of love ” in an impassioned, disgusting Tweet last week. “This is what’s on my heart this morning. I believe and trust that Michael Jackson was and is A magnificent incredible force to me and to many other.” Ross concluded the messages by quoting one of The Supremes most famous hits, writing: “STOP IN THE NAME OF LOVE.” She was famously quite tight with Jackson, which is why we’d like to amend this conclusion and address Ross as follows: STOP BEING TERRIBLE AND INSENSITIVE AND TOTALLY BLIND TO WHAT JACKSONW WAS IN THE NAME OF FRIENDSHIP.
