Ariana Grande Releases "Thank U, Next" Music Video and You HAVE to See It!

Stop what you're doing right this very instant. Seriously, whatever it is that you're doing, just leave it, because there is no way it is more important than this. Because Ariana Grande has just dropped her music video for “Thank U, Next.” And it is more important than literally everything. Or, OK, no, that's not right. Obviously some things are more important, though we can't name anything specifically right at this moment. But if you're browing around the web and you found yourself here, in this space, then this is the only thing that matters. It's just … this music video is so good? It barely even makes sense how good it is, honestly. See, she took a few different iconic teen movies like Mean Girls, Bring It On, and Legally Blonde and then put her own spin on it. Remember in Mean Girls when different high school students talked about Regina George and all the wild things she's done? In Ariana's video, we have people like YouTuber Miranda Sings saying “One time on Twitter, I heard Ariana was pregnant, so I got pregnant so we can be pregnant at the same time.” Jonathan Bennett, the actor who played Lindsay Lohan's love interest, Aaron Samuels in the movie, said “Ariana Grande told me my hair looked sexy pushed back. She's not wrong.” In a reference to the Pete Davidson engagement , another person said “Ariana broke off an engagement, so I found a guy to propose to me and I broke off an engagement.” So it's all just these nostalgic scenes from these beloved movies spliced in with Ariana and gossip and drama from her real life. How can you not love it?! Next we see Ariana lying on a bed, making a burn book, just like the characters from Mean Girls. She has pages in the book devoted to her exes — except for Mac Miller. It's not in the video, but she revealed on Twitter that his photo is in a frame by her bed for this scene. On Big Sean's page, we can see that she wrote “so cute” and “so sweet,” and what kind of looks like “could still get it,” which is hilarious. For Ricky Alvarez, she wrote “great dancer,” “good times man” and “friends forever,” which is very sweet. Interestingly enough, on Pete's page she put “I love u always,” “HUUUUUUUUGE,” and “sry I dipped.” After that, we see Ariana and friends up on a stage doing that classic “Jingle Bell Rock” dance — you remember the one. But you know in Mean Girls when Regina's mom, played by Amy Poehler, filmed the whole thing from the audience? THAT ROLE IS PLAYED BY KRIS JENNER. Did we mention how good this video is? For the second verse, Ariana moved on to Bring It On, complete with a cheerleading routine, and then she threw in a little 13 Going on 30, too. And for the bridge, this whole big, beautiful Legally Blonde scene happened, including an actual scene with Jennifer Coolidge, the actress who played Elle Woods' nail tech pal in the movie. “But wait,” you may be wondering, “if she did Legally Blonde, was there a cute little dog in a sweater? Did she bend and snap?” You know there was, and you know she did. Really, this whole video is just amazing, and it's more than we deserve. But hey, that's Ariana Grande for you , right? Watch the video in all of its glory below:

Jamie Foxx Would Rob Floyd Mayweather To Give To The Poor | Extra Butter

Read more:

If you could rob from the rich and give to the poor, who would you rob? Yeah. Us too but on this episode of Extra Butter with Xilla Valentine we go inside the movie Robin Hood starring Jamie Foxx, Taren Egerton and Jamie Dornan. While this isn’t a modern update of Robin Hood it is told like you never seen before. Think of Batman but set in the dark ages. Taren plays Robin, Lord of Loxley who gets sent to war right after finding the love of his life who introduces him to the concept of taking from the rich and giving to the poor. Years pass and he comes back home a war-hardened Crusader only to find his palace in Loxley a shell of it’s former self. While looking for his once wife he runs into a Moorish commander played by Jamie Foxx to mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown and the Sheriff of Nottingham in what is billed as a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and some sick arrow work. During our conversation, I asked Jamie Foxx if he could rob one of his family friends and give their money to the poor who would it be? “Floyd, I’d rob Floyd! I know where Floyd going to be!” As he burst into a spot on impression of the Money Team CEO and the best pound for pound boxer in the world. Jamie continues by pulling Taren into this hypothetical robbery plot, “We would both have to rob Floyd. Floyd has so much. Floyd would pull out a 40 million dollar check. It’s crazy.” Words don’t do it justice you really need to watch the video which is playing above. We also chatted about Rocketman the Elton John biopic that has it’s star Taren Egerton freaking out until he remembered a mantra and helped him out tremendously. Taren said, “In the run up to Rocketman I was slightly freaking out about it and someone just said to me ‘stay in the day.’ Stay in the day is a really good phrase I think because one, it rhymes. Two because you can’t tackle the whole beast. If you think about the whole beast you’re going to freak yourself out. Whereas if you chop off a leg and deal with that, then take a tail… You know you got to stay in the day.” Jamie loved the mantra going on to say he took a similar approach of being prepared for his movie Spawn as he did with Robin Hood which is a fun flick that hits theaters everywhere Thanksgiving.

The Rewind: Mahershala Ali Motors Through Jim Crow’s America & Sade’s Got A New Track

Source: Global Grind / Global Grind You already know what time it is! It’s time for another episode of Global Grind’s The Rewind  hosted by none other than DJ Franchise and Landon Lavarius. Like we do each and every week, The Rewind is going to break down some of the things you may have missed out on a week ago, recap, share our take and then wrap it all up with a 1 to 10 rating to let you know whether it was worth living under a rock over. On today’s episode, Landon Lavarius and DJ Franchise will discuss Mahershala Ali’s new movie Green Book which dropped today, November 16th. The film also stars Viggo Mortensen and is about Ali, who plays a world-class pianist who’s about to embark on a concert tour in the Deep South in 1962 and hires a tough-talking bouncer from an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx as his driver and bodyguard.  It’s like Driving Miss Daisy but in reverse. Landon and Franchise both got to watch the movie, however, they have conflicting views as to whether the film is hot or not. Landon Lavarius brings up a great point about Viggo Mortensen’s recent N-word controversy. During a question and answer session for the movie, Viggo dropped the N bomb while explaining racism in the 1960s. Ali actually discussed the incident during an appearance on The View. He said, “In this case and with Viggo who I absolutely love and adore, there’s a difference between racism, insensitivity and a lack of awareness. Any time a debate can be had in black culture about the appropriateness of the word, that should be left in black culture to have that debate, [in the] black community. But any time a non-black person says it in a space, there’s a mini-explosion that goes off within you because you suddenly haven’t processed the intention behind it, the relationship behind it.” Find out what Landon and DJ Franchise rate the film by clicking play. Have you been itching for some new music from Sade? Well, on November 10th, the songbird released a new track ‘The Big Unknown’ which appears on the soundtrack for the Steve McQueen-directed film Widows  starring Viola Davis. Did our girl Sade deliver a smash? Landon and DJ Franchise weigh in! Also, we couldn’t let an entire episode of The Rewind go by without wishing a heartfelt farewell to the creative genius that is Stan Lee. Check out the latest episode of The Rewind above!

The Rewind: You’re Gonna Love Teyana Taylor And Tyler Perry Releases “Nobody’s Fool”

Continue reading here:

Landon Levarius and DJ Franchise are back to back with it on today’s episode of Global Grind’s The Rewind . You already know how we do each and every week. The Rewind will break down some of the things you could have (and probably shouldn’t have) missed in the last week. We tell you what’s hot, what’s not and then give it a rating of 1-10. Never feel left at out the water cooler again now that you have The Rewind in your life. This week, Landon Levarius and DJ Franchise are talking about Teyana Taylor’s new track “Gonna Love Me (Remix)” which features Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan. Anyone who thinks this is an unlikely match up may want to familiarize themselves with the fact that Teyana also collaborated with Wu-Tang Clan last week to release a new Wu Tang inspired lipstick line with Milk Cosmetics. It’s a literal match made in Shaolin heaven but is “Gonna Love Me (Remix)” a smash or is it trash? “Gonna Love Me” originally appeared on Teyana Taylor’s Keep The Same Energy album which came out over the summer and was produced by Kanye West. Landon and Franchise have opposing views on the track. They both like it but one likes it a LOT more than another. You’ll have to tune in to The Rewind to figure out who wasn’t all that enthused by the new remix. This week we also discuss Tyler Perry’s new film, “Nobody’s Fool” which hit theaters on November 2nd. The movie is about a woman who is released from prison and reunites with her sister. It stars Tika Sumpter, Tiffany Haddish, Missi Pyle and Courtney Henggeler. Landon Levarius and DJ Franchise weighed in on the film and gave it a rating. The movie, which was Tyler Perry’s first R rated comedy, did $14 million worldwide with a $19 million budget. That’s not a lot but was it worth more? Franchise wasn’t a fan of the movie at all. He absolutely hated everything about it. Find out what Landon Levarius thought of the film and how both of our in-house critics rated the film over all. Check out this week’s episode of The Rewind up above!

Exclusive: RHOA’s ‘New Edition’ Shamari DeVoe Says Her Hubby Said THIS About Her Joining The Cast

Bravo Bossip exclusive… Shamari DeVoe Talks Joining “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta” There’s a “New Edition”(pun intended) to the RHOA cast that people can’t wait to meet. This Sunday Shamari DeVoe will make her debut on “The Real Housewives Of Atlanta” as an official peach holder. The songstress, mother, and wife to the legendary Ronnie DeVoe already made a splash in season 11 previews—but who is she, exactly? Bossip recently caught up with the newbie who told us all about joining Andy Cohen’s raucous reality TV crew while being a mom and a “marriage ambassador” with her hubby. She also noted that Ronnie was initially none too pleased to hear she might be picking up a peach—but did she change his mind? Prince Williams/ATLPics.Net Meet Shamari DeVoe below. What attracted you to joining RHOA? I wanted people to hear my story. The world knew me as a member of multiplatinum group Blaque and from the movie “Bring It On” as an actress but I really wanted people to know me as Shamari DeVoe. Did you have any hangups about joining the cast? I just wanted to make sure it truly represented my family and who we are as parents, artists and “marriage ambassadors.” What does it mean to be a “marriage ambassador”? Me and my husband have been together 17 years, we’ve been married for 12 years. We’ve been through so many challenges and we were able to overcome those challenges. We are marriage ambassadors and it’s our mission to help other couples work through their challenges so they can have lifelong healthy relationships. We get couples together and encourage and inspire one another and we help people that are going through challenges and we encourage them to work it out. It’s all about saving families and bettering our community. Families make up our community so as long as the families stay together, our community is a better place. As a marriage ambassador, what advice would you give to the other RHOA couples? No matter what you’re going through, you have to stick it out, you have to communicate, you have to listen to each other. There is a blessing even in the impossible because anything is possible when you trust and you have faith and that’s very important in relationships. What was your husband’s initial reaction when you told him that you wanted to join the RHOA cast? He’s very protective so at first, he was like, ‘Oh hell nah!!!!’ Then the more that we talked about it, we realized that this is a great platform for us to share our testimony. How do you balance being a wife and mother with RHOA? I am a superwoman! I have a great support system, it consists of my husband, my family, and my friends. Even though I ‘m a superwoman every superwoman needs help. We understand that you’ve known Kandi for a number of years, what other housewives are you close with? I think all the housewives are great and we’re getting to know each other more. I’m still closest with Kandi, I just have such a great history with her. She’s worked with my group and we come from the same musical background from the 90s and [from] her doing the “808 Remix” for Blaque. I feel really close to her. I’m getting to know everybody, everybody is really, really, cool. Is there a housewife, in particular, you’ve enjoyed getting to know? I really like NeNe, she keeps me laughing—she’s so funny! And [I like] Eva because we have the same connection, we’re both new mothers, we have that in common. Are you working on any new music? Yes, I have some new music that I’m working on with Blaque. We have a surprise coming up so stay tuned. Also, my husband and I have a singing group called ‘Me and Mari’, we’ve been working on new music for a few years now. We’re finally ready to release our single called “Love Comes Through.” What do you want RHOA fans to learn about Shamari DeVoe? I want the viewers to know that I’m a superwoman; I’m a wife, a mother, I’m a friend, I’m a daughter and I want women to know that they can do it all.   Bravo TV Social Media: @ShamariDevoe

The Rewind: It’s Scary In The Water! The Meg Is Coming To DVD And Takeoff Drops A Solo LP

See original here:

Source: The Rewind / Global Grind Global Grind’s bullies, DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius are back once again for another episode of The Rewind . Every week we get our experts to discuss the cultural happenings of the last week and then rate them from a 1-10. In case you have been living under a rock, The Rewind will always be here to get you right. Last week, Takeoff released his first ever solo project outside of the Migos. The album is titled “The Last Rocket” and dropped on November 2nd. Did he indeed take off? It’s been often said that Takeoff, although rather silent and less outgoing than his counterparts, is the better rapper of the three Migos.  Despite getting left off “Bad & Bougie”, Takeoff manages to hold his own. However, does being the better Migos rapper necessarily make him a great lyricist? DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius are super hip hop heads and they’ve got a lot to say. Landon actually enjoys the fact that Takeoff doesn’t mumble rap for the entire album, citing that “The Martian”, the album’s first track, is his favorite. While Landon, being the Southerner that he is,  is rocking with Takeoff’s latest effort, DJ Franchise is not feeling it one bit. The words “sucked” and “garbage” were thrown around a few times, actually. Landon and Franchise debate the Takeoff album and then fire off with their 1 to 10 rating. Find out what they had to say when you press play. Also, The Meg is coming to DVD very very soon. The film, which stars Jason Statham,  is about a rescue diver who has been recruited to save an underwater crew from a 75 foot long prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon that was previously thought to be extinct but ends up attacking a deep sea submersible. The film hit theaters in early August and is now set to be released on DVD on November 13th. Do you think Landon Levarius and DJ Franchise are excited to watch the film at home? The two have a difference in opinion once again. One person thinks the movie completely sucked and the other thinks it was great! Find out what they rate The Meg  and whether or not you should check it out for yourself when you watch this week’s episode of Global Grind’s The Rewind .

The Rewind: New MihTy and BlacKkKlansman Comes To DVD

Original post:

Source: Global Grind / Global Grind DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius are back with yet another weekly breakdown of The Rewind . In case you’ve been hiding under a rock or months, The Rewind is a weekly show that breaks down all of the things you may have missed in the last week. No matter the topic, our guys DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius are going to discuss it and then rate it from a 1-10. On this episode of The Rewind, we’re talking  BlacKkKlansman . The film premiered in theaters on August 10th and is set to be released on DVD on November 6th. That’s right, election day! The Spike Lee joint, which was co-produced by Jordan Peele,  stars John David Washington as Ron Stallworth, a black detective in Colorado Springs that goes undercover to not only infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan but also bring down the entire operation before they carry out a plot to harm hundreds of black people. The film did numbers at the box office. It has pulled over $85 million so far but did it really live up to all of the hype? Landon and Franchise give their opinion. For Landon, although the film is obviously about racism, he felt that the racism was very forced in the movie. If you’re sensitive to certain language, be advised that there will be a lot of racial slurs being thrown around in this film — this is the KKK, you know? Also, was accuracy an issue? Find out what Landon and DJ Franchise had to say about that. Then we discuss Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign’s collaboration project, MihTy .  The two crooners came together for their release produced by Hitmaka. The project was released on October 26th and has been met with mixed reviews. Jeremih and Ty Dolla Sign have previously released singles in promotion of the album. Over the summer they dropped “The Light.” Then they dropped  “Goin Thru Some Thangz” earlier in October. A few weeks later, they dropped  “New Level”. What did DJ Franchise and Landon Levarius weigh in.
