Fans of Whitney Houston can relive one of the highest points of her career on March 28th when “The Bodyguard” hits movie theaters for one night only! Before you start thinking that the re-release of the film is to capitalize off of Whitney Houston’s death, its not…really. 2012 happens to be the year that will commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the movie. Although the event will not be branded as a “tribute” to Whitney Houston, it will surely be an opportunity for fans to reflect on Whitney’s amazing acting and singing talents. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Jennifer Lawrence Photo: MTV News “The Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence has admitted she’s not sure when she’ll be on set for the next film in the franchise, “Catching Fire,” but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have plenty of projects to keep her busy until then. “I just wrapped a movie called ‘The Silver Linings Playbook,’ and that’ll be out at some point, I don’t know when,” Lawrence told MTV News recently. “And then I’m going to go shoot another Bradley Cooper movie. It’s not a Bradley Cooper movie — Bradley Cooper’s in the movie — it’s a Jennifer Lawrence movie with Bradley in it,” she joked. “Bradley Cooper and I are going to come out with a Jennifer Lawrence/ Bradley Cooper box set.” That box set, should it ever get made, would focus on two very different films starring Lawrence and Cooper: “Silver Linings,” due in November, revolves around a man who tries to put his life back together after spending years in a mental institution, while “Serena” is about a Depression-era couple who face personal complications when they learn the wife cannot bear children, possibly destroying the future of their lumber company. Lawrence will play Cooper’s wife in “Serena,” a part originally intended for Angelina Jolie. “I’m not at the status where I have her roles. I have her leftovers, let’s be clear,” she joked of Jolie. “She left it for me. I have her garbage. No, that’s a wonderful place to be. I’m an actor digging through Angelina Jolie’s garbage. I’ve made it.” Shooting on “Serena” has yet to start. Although Lawrence has several films on her production docket, she wouldn’t rule out getting back into the “X-Men” mindset as Mystique if given the chance. “I would love to do another one. I’m hearing the same as everyone else, there’s mumblings,” she said of her “First Class” role. “I can’t wait to get painted again.” If fans can’t wait that long to see Lawrence’s on the big screen, they can head to theaters on March 23 when the highly anticipated “Hunger Games” hits theaters. I was a little surprised to see these pictures of Jessica Biel looking sexy in the pages of W magazine. Don’t get me wrong, it was a nice surprise, the woman is a fine piece of work. On the South by Southwest film festival red carpet, Joss Whedon tells MTV News the flick had ‘a very weirdly organic genesis.’ By Kara Warner Joss Whedon at SXSW Photo: Michael Buckner/ Getty Images The annual South by Southwest film festival kicked off in splendid, if slightly soggy, fashion Friday night with the world premiere of “Cabin in the Woods.” Amidst unseasonably chilly temperatures and intermittent downpours in Austin, Texas, the film’s cast and crew braved the elements to walk the red carpet ahead of the highly anticipated horror film’s packed screening. “We are so excited to be premiering at South by Southwest: We really couldn’t have asked for a better place to premiere this film,” first-time director Drew Goddard told MTV News. “We feel like we’re a South by Southwest film, so we’re happy to be here. It worked out well for us. “I feel like South by Southwest has a swagger, a rock and roll feel to it. When you hear those words, you feel like their pushing the edge of what’s acceptable in society and I feel like — I hope — that we did the same,” Goddard added, speaking to the film’s intrigue and appeal. “Apparently, South by Southwest is a really rad festival, and I think this is a really rad film, so it’s a good fit,” star Anna Hutchison said. “Also Joss is really excited about it, so if he’s excited, you know that it’s a good thing.” Speaking of co-writer and fan-boy favorite Joss Whedon, the “Avengers” director and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” mastermind said that the long-delayed and slightly troubled backstory surrounding “Cabin” makes it even more perfect for a SXSW showing. “It was created very independently, and it came up very organically,” Whedon said. “It wasn’t churned out of a studio system. The fact that MGM, Mary Parent was taking a lot of risks. She let us shoot word-for-word exactly what we wrote. That’s the movie we made. Then obviously it had some troubles, and Lionsgate came in, and it had a very weirdly organic genesis.” Co-star Bradley Whitford summed up his SXSW excitement with his love for its host city: “I love, love, love Austin — even when it feels like Iceland,” he said with a smile from under an umbrella. “I love this town, so I was thrilled to be able to come here.” He said “Cabin” has “a very young, hip, humorous, smart, astute thing going on.” Kristen Connolly added: “It’s awesome to know that people are excited about the movie, and it’s awesome to be here.
