It was a night of surprises (Jeff Daniels?!?) and repeats ( Modern Family ), and tributes. It was a night of Jimmy Fallon tap dancing and Tina Fey and Amy Poehler proving that they should host every awards show until the end of time. It was the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. After just three days of release, Grand Theft Auto V has raked in an incredible $1 billion in global sales, easily setting a new record and blowing past Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which needed 15 days to hit that same number in November 2012. Grand Theft Auto V Reviews, Details How impressive is this figure? Grand Theft Auto V has now surpassed the second-highest grossing MOVIE of the year ( Despicable Me 2 ) and could easily fly by Iron Man 3 ‘s $1.2 billion gross. It looks like the GTA Twitter reaction wasn’t the only thingout of control this week.

Lamar Odom Moved Out, Left Khloe Kardashian to Do Drugs; Reportedly Doesn’t Want Help

A new report says it was Lamar Odom’s decision to move out of the home he shared with Khloe Kardashian, and that he does not want help for drug abuse. The NBA star has turned a blind eye to his addiction issues and ignored her ongoing plea for him to get help, to the point where the dude up and left. For Polina Polonsky ‘s apartment? We can only guess. Lamar Odom, Khloe Kardashian and Polina Polonsky After reports surfaced that Lamar packed his bags earlier this summer and left, most people assumed Khloe kicked him out . Not the case, a source says. “Khloe always knew that Lamar dabbled with drugs, but she didn’t get concerned until summer when he moved out of their house,” says the insider. His reason for leaving? Simple. “So he could do whatever he wanted to,” a friend says. “He got sick of her nagging him to get help, so he moved out.” Whatever you think of her family, it appears that Khloe Kardashian wants to save Lamar and their marriage, and that he wants none of it at this rate. This is admirable on her part, and you have to feel for what she’s going through. Most drug addicts want to be left alone – or in his case, with people like Polina who don’t care – so they can abuse drugs without having to hide it. Anyone who is enabling Lamar with his drug use is obviously not a real “friend,” but Polonsky says he had his drug use under control while he was with her. Yes, she really said this. He crashed at her place and smoked crack there, but not anywhere near to the point where he’s at now, she said in an interview. Lamar Odom Watch: Where is He Now? Eventually, Khloe confronted Polina, and he took a turn for the worse. After Kardashian came at her like a caged animal , the NBA star left, and now feels most comfortable with his so-called friends on Skid Row, insiders say. That would be a dangerous, drug-infested area in L.A. “Lamar feels like he’s all alone,” the insider explains. “And the people he’s with, they make him feel good, and they don’t say no to him or anything.” “Sadly, he’s got a lot of friends in this town and a lot of them are downtown, which ain’t at all the best area for Lamar to be in unless he’s at Staples.” It’s a far cry from the arena where he used to help lead the Lakers to titles, while very close by geographically. Will he ever get back on the court? More importantly, will he pull himself out of this spiral before it’s too late and we’re publishing something far worse than cheating and drug rumors?

Tom Hanks Jury Duty Ends Amid Plea Bargain, Allegations of Tampering, Misconduct

Tom Hanks was summoned for jury duty this week and actually served, but his presence ended up causing controversy and ending a domestic violence trial. Tom Hanks Jury Duty The Oscar winner spent Tuesday on jury duty, hearing the case of a man accused of striking his girlfriend. But soon things took an unexpected turn. Officials at the L.A. City Attorney’s Office offered the defendant a plea bargain after that learning a female member of the team approached the movie star . The suspect was allowed to walk free on Wednesday after pleading no contest to the minor offense of disturbing the peace and paying a $150 fine. Defense lawyer Andrew Flier said “The assigned prosecutor on the case gave notice to the court and myself” of the alleged misconduct, as required. Flier admitted “that he either saw or was told that one of his colleagues had had contact with Mr. Hanks in the same unit, the City Attorney’s Office.” The prosecutor in question later confirmed the inappropriate contact. “In a brief evidentiary hearing this morning, she said that around noon time, either yesterday or the day before, she made contact with Mr. Hanks in the stairwell.” “She came up to him and said that she thanked him and that how impressed everyone is that such a celebrity would still be here serving jury duty.” “So she… was maybe a little star struck and nice,” the defense attorney admitted, but it was still potential jury tampering. “It should never have happened.”

Gravity Trailer: Will George Clooney, Sandra Bullock Survive?

U.S. astronauts attempt to return to Earth after debris crashes into their space shuttle, leaving them drifting alone in orbit in this third Gravity trailer. Here we see the gravity (so to speak) of what the protagonists played by George Clooney and Sandra Bullock are up against, and it does not look good. See the directorial vision of Alfonso Cuaron, and what James Cameron is already calling “the best space movie ever done,” in the Gravity trailer below: Gravity Movie Trailer Enough to pique your curiosity and then some? We thought so. Whether it’s Oscar material or not remains to be seen, but it’s certainly going to be closely watched, given the performances of the two big names. Gravity lands (so to speak) October 4 in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D.
