Over the weekend Love & Hip Hop star Alexis Skyy blasted Blac Chyna , claiming the ex-stripper was cool one second and started bugging out the next…all at a party both ladies attended. According to Skyy, Chyna threw a drink, at which point the altercation turned into a physical fight. On Monday, Rob Kardashian posted Skyy as his #WCW —despite her very recent beef with his baby moms—and hours later Skyy was cooking Rob a full course meal at what appeared to be Kris Jenner ‘s home. He claims he wasn’t being petty , though. Sammi Giancola: Getting Engaged To Christian Biscardi?

We may hear wedding bells sooner than we think from Jersey Shore’s  Sammi Giancola and her boyfriend Christian Biscardi !  The two have been dating for a year and a half, and a close friend of the star shares that Sammi is going to be getting engaged in the very near future!    For all of you Sammi and Ronnie fans (if there are any), it’s now time to grab the tissues.  Ronnie Magro, who recently split with his ex , Jen Harley, following an alleged bloody fight in early January, is not taking the idea of an ‘engagement’ too well.  Do we expect him? I mean Sammi and Ronnie were together (on-off) for EIGHT years and the poor guy just went through hell with his ex.  The insider says, “Ronnie knows it’s coming” and he isn’t ready.  “He still feels like Sammi was the love of his life and the one that got away. It’s very hard for Ronnie to see Sammi so happy with Christian and some friends think that is why he stayed with Jen for so long.”  Ronnie’s close friends worry that when it does come he will have a very hard time dealing with the news and “that there’s a huge part of Ron that still loves Sammi and it hurts to know his chances with her are over,” the source added.  While Sammi and Biscardi plan for the next steps in their relationship, a source confirmed that the couple already moved in together over the summer.  They are both “fully committed and ready” to spend the rest of their lives together. “She’s really excited to begin the next chapter of her life with Christian,” says Hollywood Life source.  So much so that she even turned down the MTV spin off, Jersey Shore Family Vacation , back in April!  Jersey Shore Family Vacation: New Trailer Released! She later explained her absence was to “avoid potentially toxic situations.”  Anyone who has seen the show can probably agree that she was referring to her ex, Ronnie. (and multiple nights of bar fights)  Her statement continued: “I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my business and my relationship. I am not the same as I was when I was 22. At 31, I am extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially awkward situations.”   And avoiding the situation is exactly what she did… She even skipped out on  Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s wedding on Nov. 1. However, we learn from Sorrentino that she did send a “very heartfelt, sweet gift.” So, it’s not like she skipped the event altogether and just didn’t care. Instead, Sorrentino says it was likely because “the cameras were there, she opted not to come.”  It sounds like Sammi is enjoying and focusing on her new life out of the spotlight and come on, she has way better things to do anyway!  Like plan a wedding, perhaps?

Even weirder than that is the fact Kim Kardashian has been in the spotlight for even longer, partying with the likes of Paris Hilton . And still, nothing beats the revelation that Kim and her now-husband Kanye West knew one another long before they actually ended up getting together and tying the knot; Saying that their romance was a long time coming is an understatement. Even though we’ve seen Kimberly and her family since the early days of their show, it’s still shocking to look at some throwbacks every once in a while and see how the 1% used to live in the days before reaching their ultimate level of fame. That’s where Kim comes in. We can always count on the queen of selfies to post some good pictures, but sometimes, a good throwback gives us more than a new picture ever could, especially if it comes with a good story. Pot Politics: House Introduces Congressional Marijuana Bill H.R. 420

A bill that was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives could drastically change rules surrounding marijuana ‘s controlled substances standing and have it be regulated similarly to alcohol. Forbes reports : The new bill filed in the House on Wednesday by Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) is titled the Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act. If passed, it would remove cannabis from the federal Controlled Substances Act. “While the bill number may be a bit tongue in cheek, the issue is very serious. Our federal marijuana laws are outdated, out of touch and have negatively impacted countless lives,” Blumenauer said in a press release. “Congress cannot continue to be out of touch with a movement that a growing majority of Americans support. It’s time to end this senseless prohibition.” The outlet points out the clever use of 420 in the congressional bill, which is a significant number in cannabis culture as most enthusiasts are well aware of. Barbershop Books Empowers Black Boys To Read

A former educator is on a mission to promote literacy among Black youth. Through his program Barbershop Books, entrepreneur Alvin Irby is bringing literature to barbershops across the country to inspire young African American boys to read, the Tuscaloosa News reported. “Once you figure out how students identify,” @AlvinIrby says, “then you can begin to craft [reading] experiences that are customized to who they are and what's most important to them.” Read more: https://t.co/EH3G0IisNt #ThrowbackThursday — Barbershop Books (@BarbershopBooks) January 3, 2019 The inspiration for the program came nearly 10 years ago when Irby saw one of his students at the barbershop, the news outlet writes. The student—who struggled with reading—was idle while waiting for his haircut and Irby thought that would have been the perfect time for him to work on his literacy skills. A few years later Irby—who taught in Harlem and the Bronx—moved forward with the launch of his organization. Irby believes that representation is everything and it’s important for Black youth to see themselves reflected in the literature that they consume. Through the program—which was created for youngsters between the ages of 4 and 8—the young readers provide suggestions for the types of books that they want to see in barbershops. Irby then ships those books to barbershops throughout the country. The program also allows companies, nonprofits, and individuals to sponsor book stations at barbershops within their communities. “I think many children think learning isn’t for them because they’re forced to choose between who they are and school. But you can be who you are and still be brilliant. You can like rap and be a great reader,” Irby told the news outlet. “Barbershops are like a cultural center for black males. For a lot of boys the barbers are a stable male role model and black boys go there regularly.” Since its inception five years ago, Barbershop Books has expanded into nearly 40 cities and is included in 120 barbershops. There has been a major effort to change the narrative surrounding Black youth and literacy. A group of fifth-graders at the Truesdell Education Campus in Washington, D.C. launched a book club after a Black student shared that he struggled with reading because he didn’t see himself reflected in the characters of the books that he was given.
