Samuel L. Jackson Can Now Be The Voice For Your Alexa

The company has announced the veteran actor ‘s voice is a new option for customers of its Alexa device.   Variety reports : Samuel L. Jackson inked a deal with Amazon to provide first celebrity voice option for Alexa, its cloud-based digital assistant. According to the ecommerce giant, it will add more celebrity guest voices for the platform starting in 2020. The Jackson “voice pack” for Alexa will be available later this year for the special intro price of 99 cents — and users can select either clean and explicit modes. Jackson’s baritone is coming to Alexa thanks to a new Neural Text-to-Speech technology developed by Amazon, announced at the company’s Amazon Devices event in Seattle Wednesday. That’s designed to make Alexa’s default female voice more human-sounding, with more emotive and expressive speech. It also lets Alexa replicate speech inflections of real people, too — meaning Jackson’s voice on Alexa will be synthesized, rather than delivered as pre-recorded words or phrases. To get started, after installing the Jackson voice pack, Alexa users just say, “Alexa, introduce me to Samuel L. Jackson,” then choose whether they want him to use explicit language or not. Some example commands Amazon offered: “Alexa, ask Samuel L. Jackson where he is from”; “Alexa, ask Sam to wake me up at 7 a.m.”; and “Alexa, ask Sam Jackson to sing happy birthday.” (The company said the celebrity voice packs will not be able to help with shopping, lists, reminders or skills.) DeSean Jackson, Snoop Dogg & More Reflect On Nipsey Hussle’s Legacy In New NFL Feature

In association with the NFL’s ‘ Inspire Change ‘ initiative, the league dropped a new feature starring LA natives DeSean Jackson and Snoop Dogg. They both detail the cultural impact of the late Nipsey Hussle on his community. The new feature titled The L.A. Marathon features the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver and the Long Beach rapper discussing Hussle’s legacy. Jackson, a Crenshaw native, recalls his first time meeting the “Victory Lap” rapper sometime between 1997, 1998 and their friendship. Jackson later links up with Uncle Snoop Dogg, and the “Gin & Juice” rapper shares the story of listening to Hussle’s music for the first time. During the reflective moment, a clip of the late rapper in his younger years is played. Jackson also links up with Neighborhood Nip’s bodyguard J Roc at basketball blessed with a mural of Nip. Jackson asks J Roc about the impact of his late friend in Los Angeles. “It’s because he never left. He lived and died where he came from, and he believed in everything. He believed in this community.” Jackson also stopped by all of the businesses Hussle owned talking with friends and associates. One person, in particular, the NFL chopped it up with the feature was David Gross who owner of the affordable co-working spacer Vector 90. Gross elaborated on how Nipsey helped usher in new businesses into the neighborhood. “For years, we didn’t have the resources to invest in our own communities. But as we have a generation or a couple generations that have found ways to make money, go back and put it to work and be the catalyst in your neighborhood, Nip lived that. He definitely saw it.” Jackson closes out the feature with some touching words about Hussle stating: “When I’m on the field and when I’m playing, I’m repping and I’m standing for what he talked about. Beyoncé Dubs Blue Ivy “A Cultural Icon” In Trademark Battle

In court documents posted by The Blast , Beyoncé has upped her claim to the name against Wendy Morales in the trademark battle, stating that her daughter Blue Ivy is a “cultural icon.” “Blue Ivy Carter is a cultural icon who has been described as a ‘mini style star’ and has been celebrated for her ‘fashion moments’ over the years,” the documents states. “Her life and activities are followed extensively by the media and the public.” The documents also point out that while Morales operates under the name Blue Ivy, Queen Bey is attempting to register her daughter’s full name, Blue Ivy Carter , for various business ventures linked to the young icon and that the notion that anyone would confuse the two is asinine. “[Claims] that consumers are likely to be confused between a boutique wedding event planning business and Blue Ivy Carter,” the documents continue. “The daughter of two of the most famous performers in the world is frivolous and should be refused in its entirety.” Beyoncé points out her trademark application is for “Blue Ivy Carter” NOT “Blue Ivy.” The trademark case has been an ongoing battle since Hip-Hop’s royal couple filed to trademark their daughter’s name in 2017, Morales claims that Beyonce and Jay-Z are not intending to actually use the name for business, but instead merely protecting their daughter’s name; while she has been in business utilizing the name before Blue was born. Beyoncé’s claim that Blue is a “cultural icon” comes after Blue earned her first Billboard 100 placement for “Brown Skin Girl,” which she sang with her mother on Beyoncé’s  The Lion King: The Gift album. Blue also attended The Lion King premiere with her mom and appeared in the music video for Beyoncé’s original song in the film, “Spirit.” The case is expected to go to trial.

Jim Jones & Chrissy Lose NJ Mansion To Foreclosure, Property Sold For $100

According to Bossip , Dipset capo Jim Jones and long-time partner Chrissy Lampkin lost their NJ mansion after The U.S. National Bank Association sued the reality star couple back in 2017 for allegedly failing to pay their mortgage since 2010. According to the complaint, Jones bought the house in 2006 and took out a $680,000 mortgage with a 6.875 percent interest rate. He agreed to make monthly payments of $4,467, but instead, Jones stopped paying it almost ten years ago, defaulting the loan and accelerating the total balance. Apparently, Jim Jones and Chrissy were unable to come up with the cash because the courts issued its final judgment against the couple last week and the property was sold for $100 at an auction. Despite legal woes, Jones has been focused on making music. As previously reported early this year while celebrating his B-Sides Reunion with partner in rhyme Cam’ron and Jay Z , Jones was also celebrating beating a gun case in Georgia just in time for the release of his first major solo project in 10 years and The Heatmakerz collaboration, El Chapo . Staying on track, Jim Jones released a new visual for the lead single, “Make No Issues of It.” Despite being outed as a part of the Nine-Trey Blood Gang by Rap agitator turned federal witness Tekashii 69 , the new video directed by Jimmy and Shula The Don features Jones letting the red flags fly. “I’m in your halls with Taj Mahals and some red caps,” Jones raps donning a crimson jacket. “When we ball, even the feds took pictures of it. And I ain’t here to make no issues of it.” Since the allegations of his involvement in the infamous Blood gang was revealed in court, Jones has yet to confirm or deny the allegations. Andrew Glennon Gushes Over Baby James Amid Amber Portwood Scandal

We wished that we could be shocked, but Amber Portwood has not been fired by MTV. But her troubles aren’t over, yet. As she reels from the scandal after fans heard Andrew Glennon’s harrowing audio of her abuse , Andrew’s priorities lie elsewhere. He’s doting on his precious son, James, and gushing over his little boy on social media. Fans are eating it up. Andrew Glennon took to Instagram to sharea  pair of fun, adoring photos of him and baby James. “The Bubbs. :)” James begins his sweet caption, including a smiley face emoticon. He praises his baby boy as the “most curious and loving man I know.” A curious baby is a very good sign about his intelligence and development! “Able to reverse engineer anything,” Andrew announces. “And leave it a mess in a single bound.” Andrew wasn’t the only one handing out compliments and praise. One follower congratulated him for remaining steadfast in the face of horror, abuse, and uncertainty. “I admire you for your ability to stand up against how you’ve been treated,” the comment begins. “You’re teaching your son very important lessons,” the fan praises. “And,” the follower concludes. “I know he will grow up to see you as his hero. Good job daddy!” In this day and age, “daddy” is probably not what you want to call a man on the internet unless you really, really mean it. “Such a great papa!” cheers another follower. That same fan continues: “Great to see a beautiful baby with a even better single dad!” “Your (sic) doing a great job raising James,” praises another. The comment suggests: “just dont let him forget about his sister Leah.” The follower advises: “keep in contact with her and her parents Gary and Kristina, she seems to love him dearly” That last followr’s advise was so good and well-intentioned that Andrew responded. “Spoke with Gary,” Andrew announced. “And planning a baby James visit with him, Kristina, Emmy, and Leah soon,” he revealed. Andrew adds: “Just need to pick a day.” Oh, that is both wonderful and exciting. Amber does not have custody of Leah, of course. As fans are hopeful that James will similarly be protected by the time that this ugly business is over, it’s good to remember that they’re siblings. Different dads does not make James and Leah non-siblings. They’re just half-siblings — which is emotionally the same as siblings, folks. And the fact that the person they have in common happens to be a truly terrible mother also does not matter. James and Leah should be in each other’s lives, and it’s wonderful that both Gary and Andrew are taking the steps to ensure that. Despite the evidence that suggests that Amber was verbally and physically abusive towards Andrew, some fans have stood by her. These fans tend to make arguments along the lines of how Andrew must have manipulated her to get her to behave that way. That sounds awfully close to cries of “she shouldn’t have made me mad” that countless of abusers have used as an excuse. Folks, no amount of “manipulation,” even if it were real, could excuse domestic violence. We hope that Amber’s children continue to remain safe from the toxic environment that follows her wherever she goes. J Prince Calls Tekashi 6ix9ine A “Rat” & A “Liar”

Source: Mindy Best / Getty Even before  Tekashi 6ix9ine was out here dropping dimes like he was in a State Farm commercial a la Kevin Love and became Hip-Hop’s most infamous snitch, he was rubbing people all over the rap industry the very wrong way and none could’ve been more problematic for the rainbow haired rapper than triple OG Rap-A-Lot boss, J Prince . At the height of his success, Tekashi found himself in a war of words with the Rap-A-Lot shot caller due to some friction that went down between 6ix9ine and Prince’s son, J Prince Jr. and during his testimony last week, Tekashi revealed that he and his former gang, the Nine Trey Bloods actually robbed some Rap-A-Lot associates when they landed in New York a month after the initial incident. But according to TMZ , J Prince disputed 6ix9ine’s testimony and basically said that the Brooklyn troll turned snitch committed perjury by lying under oath. The rap boss says he’s been warning everyone for awhile … that if Tekashi “keeps campaigning with dumb sh*t that he was gonna get elected! Election Day has come and now I’m hearing lies he’s telling under oath about robbing me or representatives of #Rapalot.” J. Prince adds … “If him or any of those clowns were to try to rob me or anyone from the #Rapalot family bad news would’ve beat them home.” For those who aren’t familiar with how the drama between the two factions got started, word was that Tekashi 6ix9ine and J Prince Jr. met at a clothing store in Houston and chopped it up for a minute. Later on that night Tekashi and his crew were denied entry into a Rap-A-Lot party and things between the two factions really went south after that. In case you missed it … during day 2 of 6ix9ine’s snitch-fest, he detailed how his relationship with his former gang, the Nine Trey Bloods, began to sour. He claims he was denied entry to a Houston gig in March 2018 by Rap-A-Lot peeps because he didn’t “check in,” and it cost him money. As revenge for the diss, the Nine Treys planned to rob J. Prince’s people a month later in New York … and Tekashi says they pulled off an armed robbery on Rap-A-Lot reps in the lobby of a building. J. Prince says Tekashi’s version of events isn’t how it went down, and the gig he got turned away from was his son’s party … because they simply didn’t want him there. He says … “Let this be a lesson to those who know better to do better because there was never a question mark in my mind that this kid #takashi69  was rat material that’s why my sons didn’t allow him to come into their party. It was never about a rat checking in with us.” Whether or not the two individuals were actually Rap-A-Lot reps is unknown but what we do know is that Tekashi ain’t never put that work in on the streets, but he knows who did and is letting feds know who they are. Jharrel Jerome Takes Home Lead Actor Win At 2019 Emmys For ‘When They See Us’ [VIDEO]

Taking home the win for his role as  Korey Wise in  When They See Us , Jerome delivered an emotional speech, thanking his mother, director  Ava Duvernay and of course, the Exonerated Five. “I feel like I should just be in the Bronx right now, chillin,’ waiting for my mom’s cooking but I’m here,” he said. “But I’m here in front of people I’m so motivated by.” The 24-year-old actor was considered a “lock” by many who saw the limited series on Netflix. He faced some serious competition as he stood in a category with  Mahershala Ali  ( True Detective ), Benicio Del Toro ( Escape at Dannemora ), Hugh Grant ( A Very English Scandal ), Jared Harris ( Chernobyl ) and Sam Rockwell ( Fosse/Verdon ). “Most important[ly] this is for the men known as The Exonerated Five,” he said as the men stood on their feet. “Thank you so much. Andrew Glennon: Of COURSE I Didn’t Manipulate Amber Portwood!

For the past decade, we've watched Amber Portwood on MTV. Honestly, she really hasn't changed that much. She said ridiculously awful things to the people in her life then, and we've heard her do the same now — if anything, she's gotten worse. But somehow, someway, there are several Teen Mom fans who feel the need to defend Amber in the wake of her domestic violence arrest. And Andrew Glennon is not having it. 1. The Arrest Before July 5th, a lot of people thought that Amber’s relationship with Andrew was going OK. But then she got arrested for chasing him with a machete, and then people didn’t think that anymore. 2. So Crazy You’ve probably heard this story a billion times right now, but just in case you haven’t here we go — according to Andrew, Amber got upset because road work prevented them from getting to a fireworks display the evening before, and she went on a rampage for hours and hours. 3. Wow She beat him with a shoe — she admitted to that part, and police have photos of the bruises and scratches on his neck — and threatened to kill herself. She even allegedly took a handful of pills, but threw them back up when Andrew threatened to call 911. 4. Amber, No But things got even worse later, when she got so angry that she grabbed a machete she kept by her bed (we later learned that the machete is just one of the many, many weapons she keeps in her bedroom) and chased Andrew, who was holding baby James, into another room. Andrew held the door closed with his foot while he texted 911 to let them know that he felt his life and his son’s life were in danger. 5. Thank Goodness Amber was arrested and ultimately charged with three felonies — two counts of domestic violence and one count of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. 6. Yay, Andrew Andrew also filed for custody of James. As of now, he’s got it, with Amber only having supervised visitation occasionally. View Slideshow

Troy Ave Spotted In The Courtroom Where Tekashi 6ix9ine Is Dropping Dime On His Mans & ‘Em

Source: Thaddaeus McAdams / Getty While no one is showing up to give any moral support to Tekashi 6ix9ine as he tattle-tells on his former Trey Way associates, one of the two men on trial for racketeering and allegedly kidnapping and robbing the rainbow haired rapper got some support from another Brooklyn rapper, Troy Ave . According to Page Six , Nupac showed up in court to support his friend Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack and sat in the back row of the courtroom while Tekashi was detailing everything the feds asked of him while on the stand. “He’s a good guy from what I know,” the rhymester said of Mack. “I know him from trying to get into the music business. I just know him as trying to change his life to doing positive stuff,” he added. “I’m praying for him.” That’s cool and interesting considering that Troy Ave caught all kinds of slander for suggesting he too would consider being on the witness stand should he be called to testify against Taxstone at his upcoming trial. But judging from the slander that Tekashi is being subjected to online and by his rap peers for going all Henry Hill on his former gang, we’re pretty sure Troy Ave is having second thoughts about helping feds put away the man who allegedly gunned down his former bodyguard .
