Derrick Rose Wants Alleged Rape Victim To Reveal Her Identity Derrick Rose is blasting the woman accusing him of rape –in her $21 million dollar lawsuit against him – with the NBA star demanding the judge throw out her entire case unless she reveals her identity in the legal battle … or else he can’t build his defense to her baseless allegations Rose was sued earlier this year by a woman – who filed the complaint under Jane Doe – accusing the NBA star and two of his friends of drugging her and then gang raping her inside her apartment. The woman explained she date Rose from 2011 to 2013 … and during the time she said Rose attempted to pressure her into doing various sexual activities such as masturbating on camera, allowing him to have sex with her friends and demanding she participate in group sex. Then in August 2013 .. the woman claimed that Rose and his two friends, Ryan Allen and Randall Hampton, invited her to the NBA star’s L.A. mansion … where she claims someone slipped a drug into her drink with the aim of raping her. She claimed that she escaped the home with a friend but later in the evening Rose and his friends broke into her home and gang raped her while she was knocked out. The woman filed suit and is demanding 21 million dollar in damages The NBA star fired back at the lawsuit saying it was nothing more than a shameless money grab. Rose denied all allegations that he raped his ex-girlfriend and said she gave him and his buddies consent to have sex. Rose claimed that the woman was only upset with him due to her not being reimbursed for sex toys used during the night in question. He said that once he started ignoring her texts … she became even angrier with him. Rose demanded the entire suit be thrown out and the woman not be awarded a dime. The lawsuit is currently in the discovery phase with both sides exchanging documents and taking depositions of the parties involved. Interesting to note … Rose recently demanded the accuser hand over all condoms she kept from the night in question … which she agreed to turn over since she kept the used condoms. Gross… Then on April 26th … the accuser headed to court blasting the NBA star and his legal team for attacking her – the victim – and said their actions were unprofessional and unethical and should not be tolerated by the court. She said the NBA star has chosen to attack her femininity, morals and character in order to perpetuate incorrect myths about sexual assault. The woman also claimed that Rose has failed to show why she should have to reveal her name in the lawsuit … something he asked the judge for in the case. The woman stated that if she is forced to reveal her identity then it could prevent other sexual crimes victims from coming forward. She explained if the court ordered her to be identified it would only further shame, humiliate and embarrass her. Further, the accuser believes the NBA star’s legal team would only use her name being revealed to label her as a slut and gold digger in the press The woman demanded the court not order her to reveal her identity and to allow her to continue with the case using Jane Doe. Then on May 2nd … Rose headed back to court and blasted the woman’s attempt to remain anonymous in the legal battle. He explains that they shared a long-term intimate relationship spanning several years that included sexual intimacy. The NBA star says that he denies all allegations that he raped her and her texts clearly show her being adventurous by buying sex toys and asking him to come over to her home for consensual interaction. He states, “This is not a rape case. It’s pure and simple extortion by a plaintiff who does not want to be deposed on her own exculpatory texts because every lay witness in the case will shred Plaintiff’s story.” Rose is demanding the court compel the woman to abandon her incomplete and selective attempt to continue on with this suit under Jane Doe. He says she is a thirty year old adult and cannot continue to have the best of both worlds – using a pseudonym when she wants and referring to herself by her given name whenever the mood strikes in order to allow access to select third party witnesses and prevent Mr. Rose and the other defendants from building a defense. Further, he explains she has shown no evidence that she experienced fear, harassment, shame, humiliation or embarrassment and instead has made unsupported attacks against him and his team He points out that the woman is publicly portraying herself as sexual and even her Instagram posts include photos that are sexual in nature. Further, she is dressed in provocative attire and poses in sexually suggestive poses … and even had photos indicating she engages in sexually-charged encounters with more than one man at a time Rose explains he wishes to depose the woman’s parents in the legal battle since he believes their testimony is relevant to her claim for emotional distress … but he cannot do that since she is going under Jane Doe and therefore it’s ruining his ability to defend himself properly. He is demanding the entire lawsuit be dismissed unless she is willing to reveal her identity in the case. This is a $21 million case. Yes, victims should have a right to their anonymity, but does Rose have a valid point that he can’t defend himself properly while she remains anonymous. He wants to be able to call her parents and other known associates on the stand and use her own social media posts against her. Should he be able to? Hit the flip for the court documents.
