On Sunday night they sent out a tweet about Cardi B’s Grammy win and put a caption that Nicki was getting dragged by her lacefront . This caused a ton of backlash over the idea they were pitting women against one another. Nicki Minaj responded by pulling out of her performance in the BET Experience and dragging the hell out of the network. She also singled out the writer and put her picture on blast, which is a terrible thing to do. But, you know, that’s what Nicki Minaj does. BET’s social media team is really bad. Cardi B’s deleted her Instagram in the wake of her Grammys win. Before Bodak Bardirella shut down her page she posted (and deleted) a BIG mad message to critics who think she’s undeserving of her Best Rap Album win. Not only that she called out BET for sending out that “Nicki Minaj’s getting dragged by her lace front” tweet in response to her trophy. “It’s not my style for people to put other people down to uplift somebody else, that’s not my style and that’s not what I’m with and I don’t support that,” said Cardi. “However, I been taking a lot of s*** today, I’m seeing a lot of bulls*** today and I saw a lot of s*** last night. And I’m sick of this s*** I worked hard for my motherf***g album.” According to Cardi, she had support last year over “Bodak Yellow” but suddenly she’s getting pushback. Not only that she recorded “Invasion of Privacy” while heavily pregnant with baby Kulture all while detractors claimed her career was over because she was with child. “I remember last year when I didn’t win for ‘Bodak Yellow,’ everybody was like, ‘Cardi got snubbed, Cardi got snubbed.’ Now this year’s a f****g problem?” she said. “My album went two-time platinum, my n***. And every chart that there was, my album was always top 10. Number one album as well. “I f***g worked my a** off, locked myself in the studio for three months, my n***, then went to sleep in my own bed, sometimes for four days straight, pregnant. Some songs couldn’t even get on the f*****g album because my nose was so f****g stuffy from my pregnancy. N****s couldn’t sleep, n***s couldn’t do s***. While everybody was harassing me, ‘You not gonna do it—we know you’re pregnant, your career is over!’” After the rant, Cardi’s IG went missing entirely and fans are reeling. From TMZ : “The deal she wanted was to perform her massive, #1 hit, ‘7 rings.’ We’re told the show’s producer, Ken Ehrlich , told Ariana that song wouldn’t connect with the audience, so he asked her to choose a different song. Ariana felt strongly ‘7 Rings’ was what people wanted to hear, and when Ehrlich wouldn’t budge, she said she’d take a pass.” In case you missed it, “7 Rings” is the song both Princess Nokia and Soulja Boy accused Grande of jacking . 2 Chainz also came for that azz over the visual, which basically takes place in his Pink Trap House.
