This evening on The Bachelor, Brad Womack takes his final three potential wives – Ashley Hebert, Chantal O’Brien and Emily Maynard – to South Africa. When we assumed it was Emily who got rejected in the end, and then heard Ashley H. would be The Bachelorette , we assumed Emily didn’t want it. This made more sense, given her family situation. But why would Chantal turn it down? If rumors that she met a new guy are correct, this adds up. Also, Emily’s house is on the market in Charlotte, and Brad supposedly let it slip (in not as many words) on vacation in Cabo that Emily is the one. Cue the deluge of emails from insiders saying with 100 percent certainty that it’s Emily, not Chantal, and we’re all up to date, having done a 180. There you go. No, the eccentric artist isn’t wearing a crazy outfit or donning excessive face paint in the music video for “Blow.” But she is hilariously interacting with former Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek. “Well, well, well… if it isn’t James Van Der Douche,” Ke$ha says about halfway through. Amidst a sea of J. Lo’s tears , Chris Medina was eliminated from American Idol this week. But that isn’t stopping the aspiring singer from pursuing his dreams. The former contestant, whose fiancee suffered a brain injury in a 2009 car accident, will appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this evening and perform the single “What Are Words.” “It’s a song about making promises and fulfilling them, about telling someone you love that you’ll be there and having them be able to count on you because you said it,” Chris says. “Because the words that you say really mean something. The singer’s conservatorship and marketing machine have made a killing since December of 2008, when the conservators took over $2,826,362.68. Exactly one year later, Britney’s assets controlled by the conservators swelled to $27,500,000, thanks largely to Britney’s wildly successful Circus Tour. It’s good to be Britney Spears. Especially on medication . The figures are deceiving in that conservators only control a portion of Britney’s total estate – namely her business expenses . She has a lot of money and property in her various trusts and other business entitites the conservators do not control. Basically, she’s even richer than that figure indicates.
The music video for Dr. Dre’s new single, “I Need a Doctor,” which he performed at the Grammys with Eminem and Rihanna, has officially been released. Featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey, whose vocals are stunning, the work is more than seven minutes long, with Dre himself largely absent until the end. Partly a tribute to Dre himself by protege Eminem, “I Need a Doctor” is also a memoriam of sorts to Dre’s son, Andre Dr., who tragically died in 2008.
