Kim Kardashian Takes Shot at Taylor Swift, Mocks Music Video

Taylor Swift is officially back, folks. And so, it appears, is the artist’s feud with former sex tape star and producer, Kim Kardashian. As you absolutely must know by now, these two celebrities do not get along. The feud started about three years ago, when Kim leaked audio of a phone conversation between Swift and Kanye West in which the former signed off on lyrics penned by the latter for the track “Famous.” This stood in contract to how Swift publicly acted shocked and appalled when Kanye referred to Taylor as a “bitch” in this very same song. Kardashian was basically trashing Swift as a liar and a phony and trying to put to rest the singer’s persona as being all nice and wholesome and harmless. We’re not here to relitigate this rivalry now or anything, just to quickly catch readers uo. As part of Kim’s anti-Swift campaign, she started to use a snake emoji as a way to reference her famous foe. Taylor, meanwhile, has attempted to throw this imagery/animal back in Kardashian’s face, often bringing out a (pretend) snake on stage alongside side her during various tour dates. All this background brings us to Swift’s brand new music video for the song “ME!” It was released early on April 26 and you can check it out here: Taylor Swift Drops New Music Video! Listen to “ME!” Unlike many of the songs and videos off her previous album, “Reputation,” this track is filled with positive lyrics and bright scenery. But it opens with – yes, you guessed it! – footage of a snake slithering across the screen — prior to this snake turning into a bunch of butterflies, seemingly signaling that Swift is done with her Kardashian feud and ready to focus on happier things in life. Social media users have been very impressed by the transition, as evidenced below: HOWEVER, it looks like Kardashian has now fired back after the cryptic video’s release. Just consider what Kim posted to ger Instagram Story mere hours after Swift’s new video went viral. “I am obsessed!!!!” Kim captioned the shot of snake jewelry, which we presume is part of the businesswoman’s KKW Beauty collection. Interesting timing, huh? To suddenly include this necklace and Kim’s penchant for it in the wake of Swift’s return to music? Last month, Swift went after Kardashian during an interview with ELLE. She praised herself for overcoming the shade constantly hurled in her direction by someone Swift believes is a bully, telling the magazine: “I learned that disarming someone’s petty bullying can be as simple as learning to laugh. In my experience, I’ve come to see that bullies want to be feared and taken seriously. “A few years ago, someone started an online hate campaign by calling me a snake on the internet. The fact that so many people jumped on board with it led me to feeling lower than I’ve ever felt in my life.” Swift concluded this section of the interview by saying of herself and Kardashian: “It would be nice if we could get an apology from people who bully us, but maybe all I’ll ever get is the satisfaction of knowing I could survive it, and thrive in spite of it.” Read more excerpts below and then decide: Whose side are you on in this never-ending beef? These two are great at keeping secrets, lets not forget we got ZERO photos of Kylie while she was pregnant with Stormi. They could probably have a WHOLE wedding and no one would know. Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ To Be Released On All Music Streaming Services

Original post:

It’s been almost three years since Beyoncé lit the game on fire with her visual album Lemonade and though most, if not all of her fans already own the classic project, for the third anniversary of it’s release, Lemonade will be available on all streaming platforms. Variety is reporting that the album which was Tidal and iTune’s exclusive will be available on all music streaming services including Spotify and Apple Music beginning April 23rd. The day coincides with the premier of Beyoncé’s 65-minute music film Lemonade on HBO which had the culture in a frenzy on social media and evidently helped lead to 2.5 million copies sold worldwide since then. Aside from being the best selling album of 2016, Lemonade also went on to win a few Grammy awards for best urban contemporary album and best music video. One thing that will differ from the album’s previous release is that it will now feature the poetry by Warsan Shire which was featured in the film during the songs interludes. We totally expect this to dominate once again.

Laura Ingraham Tries to Mock Nipsey Hussle, Uses Pic of Wrong Dude

At the end of March, beloved rapper  Nipsey Hussle was shot dead , murdered by an acquaintance following a verbal disagreement. Nipsey's funeral included tributes from singers and politicians. He was mourned by thousands — he is mourned by thousands. Fox News villain Laura Ingraham decided to mock those mourners. To smear Nipsey for her viewers, she played a video of a  different  black man. “Yesterday in L.A.,” Laura Ingraham says in a now viral Fox News clip. “Thousands lined the streets to say goodbye to rapper Nipsey Hussle.” “Now this dear artist,” she says, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Recently released a song called 'FDT.'” Ingraham then explains that the song's title stands for: “Eff Donald Trump” We don't say this often because it is rarely true, but Ingraham is right about the meaning of that title. She then immediately squanders that brief moment of not being wrong by playing a clip from the music video. As you will see when you watch the clip, the video focuses on an L.A. rapper by the name of YG. That's because it's his song, from his 2016 album,  Still Brazy . Nipsey is featured in the song, but it's not his song and he didn't release it. It's also not “recent” in music terms.  The song is three years old. Why did Laura Ingraham use her show and platform to play the wrong music video in an attempt to disparage Nipsey? Maybe she just wanted to address hot topics and give her core demographic — ageing white supremacists — a target for their ire. A rapper who doesn't like Trump would certainly make an inviting target.  Fox News' whole brand is about distracting people from real stories by drumming up pointless outrage. And maybe Ingraham and her entire staff  really  didn't know YG from Nipsey. They look like different people to us. But maybe all “Trump critics” look the same to them. Ingraham's latest bad move comes on the heels of months of controversy, including her verbal attacks on children who survive school shootings. The accused white nationalist's remarks have been praised by members of the KKK. In the mean time, rappers and black celebrities have called for a boycott of Ingraham's show. The goal is to deprive her of the platform that she uses to sow misinformation and hatred. Absolutely anyone would mistake one face for another, especially if one spends all day staring at faces. One would hope that someone with the infinite resource of Fox News behind them would be able to do some basic fact-checking. Of course, that's doesn't seem to be a priority for them. The fact that Laura Ingraham continues to have a job shows that the network doesn't take her white nationalist rants seriously. Or worse — that they're pleased with her hateful words. We're sorry to say that mocking the lyrics of an associate of a dead black man is far from the worst thing that Ingraham has said. A man named Eric Holder was arrested for Nipsey's murder and for the shooting of the two men who were with Nipsey but survived. The 29-year-old was brought in following a manhunt and has entered a plea of Not Guilty. His defense attorney is Chris Darden — yes, the very same attorney who rose to fame as a prosecutor on the O.J. Simpson trial. If Holder is convicted, he may face life behind bars.

He’s Back: Lil Uzi Vert Returns From Retirement With Revealing “Free Uzi” Track & Video

Source: Scott Dudelson / Getty He Continues His Campaign Amidst Label Drama Speculation Lil Uzi Vert is making a comeback. The goth, emo, rainbow-dreaded darling of the trap generation previously said that he was retiring from music back in January for unknown reasons. Now it seems Uzi has changed his mind with the epic “Free Uzi.” The nearly three minute song is filled with clever bars from Uzi, and he even alludes to some real life troubles (apparently he owes $3 million in taxes!). You can watch his music video for the song, which pulls from G Herbo ‘s “Gangway” beat, below.   The “Free Uzi” title is probably in reference to his alleged beef with label heads DJ Drama and Don Cannon . The two signed Uzi to their Generation Now imprint on Atlantic Records before Uzi started blowing up. Generation Now is allegedly preventing Uzi from releasing his next album Eternal Atake. Although, DJ Drama assured fans in an Instagram comment that “Uzi should put  EA out tomorrow or any day he wants. He has me & Cannon’s total support and blessings to drop it.” Meanwhile, Uzi seems to have aligned himself with Roc Nation management in the midst of the confusion. With his “Free Uzi” campaign, this could be the beginning of a big transition. The song isn’t listed on most streaming sites, and Atlantic released a statement to Pitchfork saying, “The record that was released today is a leak. Not official.” As of Friday morning, the track can only be found on YouTube and SoundCloud , and Uzi has posted clips on his Instagram page . Could this be an act of resistance? Guess the Uziverse will have to wait and find out.

Respect The OG: J. Prince Got YBN Almighty Jay’s Chain Back [PHOTO]

Source: Leon Provost / Leon Provost Remember what  J. Prince told  Kiotti , “Don’t let Instagram become your OG.” True enough, after video surfaced of some New York thugs hospitalizing and robbing  YBN Almighty Jay , the Rap-A-Lot CEO put out a calm warning to anybody who was involved in the attack on Jay. Not even a week after the message, J. Prince was good on his word and got YBN Almighty Jay’s chain back in proper possession. J. Prince confirmed the news via Instagram on Tuesday, but didn’t provide details on how he retrieved the stolen piece. “Real recognizes real in every hood and has a way of connecting in spite of clowns and squares,” Prince captioned a photo featuring French Montana . “The homies from the Bronx, KT, @hocus45th and @frenchmontana kept it real with me and my son @jprincejr. The assailants took off with Almighty Jay’s money, the chain and left him requiring a number of stitches to his face. The chain made an appearance in a  Zae Numbafive music video, though Zae says he had nothing to do with the assault. J. Prince specifically called out Zae in a follow-up IG post, referring to the rapper as a “clown”. “They Recently Bragged About Robbing The Artist YBN Almighty Jay Whom I’m Invested In,” he wrote in the post last week. “They’ve Robbed Him Of His Money And Jewelry Including A Rap-A-Lot Piece. So Therefore They Have Robbed A Piece Of Me.” Unrelated to YBN Almighty Jay’s assault, Zae and three of his associates were arrested last week on federal charges, including attempted murder in the aid of racketeering. The men were allegedly involved in the shooting of an off-duty NYPD officer last October. RELATED:  J Prince: “Don’t Let IG Become Your OG” [EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW] RELATED:  J. Twitter Had A Lot To Say About The New Trailer for ‘Avengers: End Game’

Read the original:

Source: Jesse Grant / Getty The official trailer for Avengers: End Game is finally here, and of course, people have a lot to say about it. Since the second Avengers: Infinity War dropped in April of last year, Marvel fans were already asking a million questions about what’s going to happen in the sequel–and now, we are closer than we’ve ever been to finally seeing what happens to our favorite Avengers squad. Disney dropped the brand new Avengers: Endgame trailer on Thursday, which immediately caught fans by surprise. The short movie teaser shows our heroes–including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Captain Marvel and many more–trying to figure out how to move forward with their lives after Thanos destroyed half of their universe with one simple snap of his finger. The trailer starts with some ominous voiceover work from the one-and-only Tony Stark, who begins,  “God, it seems like a thousand years ago I found my way out of that cave, became Iron Man, realized I loved you. I know I said no more surprises, but, I was really hoping to pull off one last one.” Here, he’s addressing who we can only assume is his soon-to-be-wife Pepper Potts. As the trailer continues, we see a lot of very nostalgic flashback moments for some of our favorite heroes like Ant Man, Hawkeye, Captain America, and more. The trailer itself is pretty melancholy, showing just how serious life and its stakes have gotten since Thanos’ decimations–but it’s not all bad news. At the end of the trailer, we get to see a brand new scene where Thor summons his hammer, which whizzes right past Captain Marvel’s head without causing a flinch. In this very telling introduction for the new hero, she smirks as Thor turns to Black Widow and says, “I like this one.” If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, join the rest of the world and watch it down below: Of course, with a new trailer comes some new reactions, and people are going absolutely crazy for this preview of what’s sure to be the biggest movie of 2019. For Better Or For Worse: Remembering What Life Was Like Before Instagram And Like-Based Culture

Read more here:

Source: NurPhoto / Getty Social media junkies got a taste of what the old days were like when Instagram and Facebook glitched this week. People were so lost without their respective timelines, “IG and FB down” trended for the better part of Wednesday. It got us thinking about what life was like before social media fully infiltrated our lives , specifically Instagram, and come to think of it…the olden days were an entirely different world. Then, going viral became a major measure of success and things haven’t been the same since. So, what all do we do differently now? Pretty much everything… People used to just eat their food, for instance. Now it’s all about taking photos to let people know how good you’re eating—and even food pics need perfect lighting. You weren’t able to watch your significant other “like” a surplus amount of *ss or eggplant pics in real-time prior to IG. Social media definitely exposed the overall flimsiness of present-day relationships. There’s a lack of real-life presence. We do EVERYTHING with our phones these days…being able to walk and check Instagram at the same time is actually a life-skill. Whereas before, people actually lived real life…instead of taking pictures of life to flex for the Gram. Then there’s the added pressure to appear just as picture perfect when people see you out and about. Let’s just say kids don’t look like they used to… Instagram provided people the ability to share content with the world instantly. With a way to immediately let your key market know that your product/service/talent is available, owning your own business and being your own boss is a lot less intimidating these days. Everyone’s an entrepreneur now. And in many cases, these folks are also mini-celebrities with super powerful brands thanks to all those “likes.” Speaking of which… Fashion Nova and online boutiques like FN changed the game by getting Instagram influencers and celebrities to wear and endorse their products in IG photos. A relatively new company, FN was the most searched fashion brand of 2018 , beating out ALL the top dawgs with a simple but innovative marketing strategy. Checkmate. View this post on Instagram I just saw the Finished version of #Aladdin!! IT IS FIRE I AM HYPED!!! I can’t wait for y’all to see it. But, for now… Here’s the full trailer! 🙂 A post shared by Will Smith (@willsmith) on Mar 12, 2019 at 5:48am PDT Speaking of marketing, if you expect your film to be hailed as a blockbuster movie these days, you’d better have an Instagram-ready rollout! Remember when that new joint was announced primarily via television (or posters on the train)? Remember when a guy used to have to work up the nerve to ask you for your number IN PERSONNNN??! Now there are what they young people call “DMs.” Celebrities talk directly to their fans now…no interviews necessary to set any rumor straight. And that access works both ways. You’re just one click away from seeing what your fave has been up to recently, provided they have an active IG account—but most of them do. Unheard of prior to IG. We used to get cards and flowers, but now if you forget to do an Instagram shoutout for your friend on his/her birthday, you’re as good as dead. Made up a cool new dance? Music videos aren’t the primary way of spreading your moves to the world anymore. Just dance for Instagram and if it’s cool enough, it’ll get around by way of a dance challenge. Remember newspapers? Well today if you’re not up on the latest scoop, no need to read…search the hashtag on IG and get filled in instantaneously with lots of photo evidence and MEMES. Speaking of which, does anyone remember what life was like before we got the tea from The Shade Room and Baller Alert? Since celebs are online, accounts like these make it their business to be all up in your fave’s beeswax…this much tea was also unheard of. We had to mind our business back in the day. Thinking of the perfect Instagram caption? Anecessary life skill now. And last, but certainly not least, remember when you could breakup with your boy/girlfriend without having to breakup with them online too? Yep, life was definitely different. Do you think it’s better or worse now?

The Compassionate Carters: Beyoncé And Jay-Z To Be Honored As LGBTQ Allies With GLAAD Vanguard Award

Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty GLAAD To Honor Jay-Z And Beyoncé At Media Awards Beyoncé and Jay-Z are set to receive the Vanguard Award at the 30th Annual GLAAD Media Awards for being allies to the LGBTQ community . According to a statement via the organization, GLAAD’s Vanguard Award is presented to people who “have made a significant difference promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people.” It went on to say, “Beyoncé and Jay Z are longtime allies and supporters of the LGBTQ community who use their global platforms to share messages that inspire and change the world for the better.” GLAAD noted the work that both Jay-Z and Beyoncé have done throughout their careers on behalf of the LGBTQ community. They include instances like Beyoncé notably speaking out against North Carolina’s anti-LGBTQ “Bathroom Bill” in 2016, also posting a message in support of LGBTQ students after Trump withdrew Obama-era protections for transgender students the following year. Bey has also prominently included LGBTQ people in several of her music videos, along with showcasing transgender actress Laverne Cox in promos for her Ivy Park clothing line. As for her husband Jay-Z, the GLAAD Vanguard Award comes only one year after the rapper received the Special Recognition Award  for his song, “Smile,” in which his mother came out as a lesbian. Like Beyoncé, Hov has also made a point of prominently featuring LGBTQ people in his work, also supporting the passage of marriage equality. “Beyoncé and Jay Z are global icons and passionate defenders of human rights and acceptance for all people,” said GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis. “When Beyoncé and Jay Z speak, the world becomes inspired and when it comes to LGBTQ people, their voices of acceptance have been heard loud and clear.” Previous winners of the GLAAD Vanguard Award include Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Demi Lovato, Whoopi Goldberg, and Britney Spears. The 2019 GLAAD Media Awards will be held in Los Angeles on March 28th.
